Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if one copy rings up lower, shouldn't that mean they all would, and the stickers are just wrong?
You are correct because they scan the barcode. Sometimes they don't change the stickers on all of them, but they all ring up at the same price no matter the difference listed on the clearance sticker.
sorry haven't been keeping up with the thread: does Red Steel 2 come out with WM+ or is it just the game? I'm guessing it's just the game but I would like to be wrong!
I saw the bundle on clearance as well for $27.98, but only at one store out of about 8.
It has probably already been mentioned, but with so many good clearance deals going on right now, it might be a good idea to pick up anything you want today instead of waiting for a drop. I say this because the clearance games at the local Targets get cleared out on Black Friday. Those back endcaps probably get more traffic this weekend than they do the other 51 weekends combined so I wouldn't hesitate if you see something that you want at 50% off.
This.

Black Friday Shoppers go in for cheap games and some of them don't realize that there was a huge clearance drop this week until Friday when they shop. If there is anything you wanted pick it up today, it might not be there after friday.

Yeah, I have only seen a few single Batman AA for $15 and that is the cheapest I have seen it online for a used copy. I'm thinking I should get one tonight. I doubt there will be any left for a Monday drop.
I made 2 seperate purchases at Target, Punch-Out for $12.48 and Family Game Night 2 $9.98. Each time a $5 off a $50 purchase coupon (exp 11/30) printed out at the register. It might come in handy for Black Fri. Anyone else get this?

Got one of those yesterday. Hopefully Target has a better BF selection than their ad indicates.
I used the $5 off $50 today and an $8 off $80 coupon printed out (exp 12/2).

Picked up the PS3 versions of RE5 Gold for $20 and MUA2 for $15. Unfortunately, I had a slow moment and didn't pick up Red Steel 2 and Punch-out when I was running late for work the other day. Someone else snatched it up. :(

Craziest story here: I was at the clearance rack in Target this afternoon and as I was about to leave I noticed the employee dropping some new games there! I noticed on the bottom of his cart that he had 3 nintendo wiis on there. I assumed that he was going to put them with the rest of the wiis locked up, but imagine my surprised when he threw them on the bottom shelf of the clearance rack! I grabbed one and saw the price of 139.98! *YOINK* It was like my own personal Black Friday deal! lol

*YOINK* It was like my own personal Black Friday deal! lol

You'd better look at you local news paper this same deal set SD on fire there is a $20 off coupon floating around that you could have applied to your purchase and made the Wii $119, so FYI.

I had a similar thing happen to me at the Miami Lakes Target.

A manger type boss guy sees the Clearance video games rack is basically empty picked clean by CAGers and SDers

So he tells another manager type guy see what we can "FLEX" into here.

FLEX is their TARGET employee lingo to fill a gap on the shelf, getting ready for the Black Friday Crowds.

seeing an opportunity I grab a copy of MARIO Kart Wii which is $49.99 and is one of the only full price Video games thats not behind that new darn plastic cases, since its a bigger box it can only go on the lower shelf.

I show the manager a box of Mario Kart Wii and I hold it up high and ask him is this game on Clearance??

He yells back "it is now" Scanned the price $49.99 he adjusted it to $25 bucks exactly 50% off what the sign says.

Glad you are happy with your purchase, but I saw over 30 of them on Monday. Maybe you can get one of those $20 off coupons and get a credit on it. Just bring the receipt and coupon in. I have done this before with clearance items.

would have definitely gotten borderlands since I just happened to be interested in a fun co-op game. Check two different targets and their all gone now =[

Lost Planet 2 (PS3) - $9.98
Wolfenstein (PS3) - $12.48
Project Gotham Racing 4 - $13.98
BioShock (360) - $10.48

Found these prices at the Seattle, WA location.

I picked up Batman AA, ME 2, and DA:O tonight for the 360 at the Royersford, PA target. Several of each left. there were even more for the PS3. I paid between 13.98 to 14.98 for each.(sorry not double checking exact amounts right now...)
Plenty of NHL 10.
RE5 SE was 24.98
My brother just found me the 360 version of WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2010 in Atlanta, GA at 2539 Piedmont Rd NE tonight for $14.99...\\:D/
Now thats a sweet game you will be doing some serious wrestling moves with that one heard its awesome.

Novato, CA Target has mysteriously been having Clearance Games show up that weren't there when I visited a week ago. Unfortunately the new additions are a lot higher than others reporting here.

Wii:

-(2) Sin and Punishment 2= $24.98

I took the advice from some of you and went looking to see what I can get before the B.F. crowds finish off the clearance section. I found
:360:Mass Effect 2 for $13.98
:360:Dragon Age: Origins $14.98

I saw other games, including :360:Borderlands for $20.98, that I wanted but decided to leave; they weren't at my price point :whistle2:(

Also, I saw a lone copy of :pc:Battlefield: Bad Company 2 but it didn't have a clearance sticker. Scanned it and came up regular price $19.99 (that's:booty:). Amazon has it for $16.96 so I passed.

Visited my Target in Mankato, MN today. Was surprised to see 10-12 copies of :ps3: RE5 Gold Edition for $9.98 in the clearance endcap. Unfortunately, I only own an Xbox360, and :360: RE5 Gold Edition is still $29.99 or $39.99 or whatever. Also saw one copy of :ps3: Dragon Age: Origins for $7.48, and two white Wii consoles at the $137 clearance price. :360: SSFIV is still $19.99, but I really wish it'd go down to $14.99

The funniest item, however, has to be the two copies of :360: Bayonetta clearanced for...$59.99. No joke. I even went and scanned it at the price scanner, and it comes up $59.99. Pricing fail.

Got Mass effect 2 $13.00 XBOX
Bioshock $7.48 XBOX
Batman AA $20.98 XBOX
Uncharted 2 $19.98 PS3
Dragon age: $14.98 PS3
GTA: episodes from liberty city $20.98 xbox
Super SF4 $13.98 xbox
Oblivion GOTY $14.98 XBOX

Non target
Bioshoc 2 boxed set at BB $22.00

Returned Alpha Protocol. I'm hoping it'll get passed over and be lowered (or the stockers won't bother putting it back in time for Black Friday) since $20.98 was just a bit too much for me to want to keep it. But if I can't find it in the future, it's no problem for me. Just taking a small gamble.

I did buy Borderlands and Resident Evil 5 Gold for :360: at $20.98 and $27.98 respectively. I wasn't willing to take a gamble on those.

Anyone else run into the clearance racks being totally stripped? I went to 2 targets today and there were no games on clearance. Aside from some COD:BO wallet packs and Halo reach patches there wasnt any game related merchandise on the shelf.
This was odd since last week there were tons of copies of :ps3: Borderlands which had been sitting at 20.98 for weeks. I'm lucky I picked up a Dragon Age :360: for 14.98 at another target days before.
Target in Daphne Al had tons of games mentioned last week, but I'm guessing Alabama targets are being cleaned out for black fridays sales?

Most likely, they are moving stock around for the coming BF crowds. I have seen carts full of clearance games in the last couple of days and clearance endcaps have been moved.

Finall found Uncharted 2 for $19.98 at the Kent, WA location. They have quite a few left. Others:

Project Gotham Racing 4: $9.98
MX vs ATV Reflex (360) - $9.98

There were so many games I wanted at 50% off. I shed a tear as I realized they would all be wiped out tomorrow. God speed all you s&ps and resident evils and ME2s.

hey all.. confirming tons of clearance games at a new super target. only picked up alpha protocol for ps3 @ 9.98... white knight chronicles was 12.98 but i heard that game was horrendus?

I found a copy of White Knight Chronicles for $35 hidden underneath the Taylor Swift t-shirts, I didn't grab it, but aren't Target employees still able to find these hidden games that are still inside the plastic security cases? What's the point of hiding them in these obscure places?

People hide them to make sure they're still there later. And underneath a pile of Taylor Swift t-shirts is the last place anyone would look.

Black Friday came early for me in the form of Black Wednesday. I got:

Punch-Out - $12.48
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles - $9.98
Red Steel 2 (game only) - $7.48
Borderlands - $14.98

I left Alpha Protocol because I've never progressed very far in those Knights of the Old Republic/Mass Effect style games.

The cases don't let employees track where they are in the store or anything like that. They're just a way to keep people from gutting the game and stealing the disc, as well as acting as a trigger to set off the security alarms at the front of the store in case someone tries to slip out with the game tucked in their purse/bag/freakishly huge pocket.

Today I saw El Hoardo walk out with a Kinect marked at 37.xx

Well in a parallel universe where Targets are open on Thanksgiving.

Grabbed:

RE: Darkside Chronicles - 9.98
Red Steel 2 - 7.48

Saw a bunch of Sin & Punishment 2 (Wii) for 12.48 everywhere I went. Not interested in that though.

Which Seattle spot? Northgate? West Seattle? Renton?

I'm in Memphis for Thanksgiving and hit up a Target yesterday, can't remember where exactly. They had EVERY 360 game mentioned here recently, but each one I want to snag (RE5 Gold, ME2, Tropico 3) is $5-10 too high for me. Here's hoping something survives BF and gets a quick price drop--it'll be interesting to see that endcap on Saturday on my way out of town.

I think you are seeing into the future. Probably around next spring or so. ;)

There were a lot of games at our Target on Clearance when I stopped by Monday but none of them under $19. Although, one title I wish I probably bought at $19 was Uncharted 2, seeing how Amazon's Black Friday sale for that title was $35 and it sold out quickly. I was going to wait another week to see if they drop to $14...because there was about a dozen or so. Also, saw many NHL 10, White Knight Chronicle, Sin and Punishment 2, RE 5 Gold, Guitar Hero Metallica and many more.

I snagged the last copy of :360:Super Street Fighter IV on clearance for $13.98! I didn't know Target started clearing these out, it's a steal at this price!

Just a heads up, Target in Newnan has Dragon Age: Origins :ps3: and Uncharted 2 :ps3: for $15 each on clearance. Also, White Knight Chronicles for $20 I think. And TONS of copies of Elder Scrolls Oblivion GOTY Edition :360:

Looks like Newnan had some drops. I was there on Wednesday and Uncharted 2 was still $20.

I did pick up Sin and Punishment for $12.98 and Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers for $9.98 when I was there.

Wandered over to inspect the damage on clearence while looking for the 2TB hard drive this morning(which I struck out finding of course) and surprisingly the endcap was still packed and busting at the seems with some pretty great games. Unfortunately, both Skokie and Evanston IL stores are still double the prices on everything I want from what you guys are reporting. I hate our slow drops around here! $20.98 is just too much for Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles and 27.98 for Red Steel 2 w/motion+, 20.98 w/o. It sucks knowing those will probably be gone by Sunday at these prices.

Memphis is soo slow in updating prices. I spotted a reach legendary, that had been opened. Guess to steal the helmet code. Whoever put the rubber band lock left it loose.

In order to steal the helmet code, you'd have to reach into the box, get into the black outer case, then open up the game case. if you have the balls and digital dexterity to do that, might as well just walk out with the whole thing like you own it.

Went back to pick up Uncharted 2, did see Lost Planet 2 but not for $9 but still $19.98. Ended up picking NHL 10 but now I wonder if I should have picked up the GTA: Episodes from Liberty City for $19.98 for XB360.

I think this is great news: I just came back from 2 different Targets. Both were still overflowing with clearance games like they were at the beginning of the week. Looks like Black Friday didn't wipe out anything in my area. It also helped that games like RE: DC and most others were $20+. If they were $15 or even less, maybe they'd be taken.

Here's hoping for a markdown by Monday morning, and that I can get the games before El Hoardo does.

I was amazed to see the clearance endcap was still full of games this afternoon... I figured it would all be snapped up today as it was last year.

Did find an Endless Ocean Blue today for 7.48 around 5pm(only copy I saw) at the Addison store(chicago). Glad this store wasn't picked clean either of clearence. Found 2 huge endcaps of the doorbuster hard drives for $69 each, like 100 of them. Unfortunately all the rest of the Wii games are still $20 and up(well, the non-shovelware ones anyway). A few decent :360: and :ps3: titles but still not as low as reported either.
