Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Picked up FIFA 10 and Dragon Age: Origins for :ps3: for $7.48 each. Lots of 360 and Wii games on clearance, Fallout 3 GOTY was the only other PS3 game though.
 
Not too much at the Brick store..a few Oblivion GOTY's at 14.98 and a bunch of Red Steel w/ Motion Plus at 27.98.

Had no idea Target was accepting game trade ins now, but it says it on the tags for all the 49.99 sale games this week.
 
Anyone around FAIRFAX, VA? It might be the soccer moms or the soccer dads LOL.. but there is nothing at my Target. It is ridiculous... there are NO PS3 games ever on clearance.:roll:
 
Not too much different at one of my local stores today. Only game I saw marked down further was :ps3: Wolfenstein to $25, which is still $15 more than I paid a few weeks ago at Sears.
 
picked up White Knight for 12.48, DA:O PS3 7.48, and another copy of Oblivion GOTY for 7.48. Really wanted DA:O for 360 but couldn't pass up the 7.48 price tag for ps3.
 
Picked up 360 MX vs ATV Reflex for $4.98 today. Lots of new stuff at my closest Target, like Fallout 3 GOTY on both PS3 and 360 for $34.98 (It'd be nice if those survived another drop or two), and DA:O for the 360 at $7.48 (which is odd since they only had it for PS3 last week at $14.98, it's like they morphed in the last week). 2nd Target's clearance is still MIA although I saw a cart of clearance tagged games sitting unguarded in the electronics section. I glanced through it but didn't see anything at 75% so I didn't do too much digging through it. I may check back tomorrow to see if they've put it out or hidden it again.
 
Looks like nothing really dropped at chantilly today... RE:TDC is still holding at 20. :|

Soccer moms should really not shop for video games with their kids... as I was searching, this one mom and her daughter were going thru the games and the kid kept on bitching/begging to get her a 360 game and she was like "NO"...yet she continued to search for games......... I got kinda annoyed so I grabbed my "to scan" items and left.

Saw Dragon Age Orirgin Ultimate for $29.98 on both system and Mass Effect 2 for $13.98. ME2 was MIA in the prison glass for 2 weeks before it showed up in the clearance section. Also there is a temporary price cut on Vanquish at $39.99.

No copies of White Knight Chronicles left there either? Shit. I was going to head over there after work and check, because Chantilly was sold out when I went at lunch. :cry: Oh well, guess I know before making the trip.
 
I stopped in a Target about 100 miles away from my house today. Was out on business and was looking up Kmarts on my GPS. One I went to ended up having been changed to a Sears Grand or something. Anyway, as I was leaving, I decided to look for a Target and there was one close, in Summerville near Charleston. Was excited when I got in there, since I haven't been in one in a while. Only worthwhile thing I saw on clearance was a Fable III LE for $55~. Wish I could've found an Oblivion GOTY. One of these days I'll play Shivering Isles.

Yea Fairlakes and Chantilly gets picked pretty bad after school gets out.
 
Nothing really interesting at a couple stores near me, some new PC games on the clearance shelf - Transformers WfC and Toy Story 3. I didn't know either of those HAD a PC release in the first place. Everything else I'm stalking stayed at the same price.

Grabbed Tropico 3 X360 for $7.48 and Guitar Hero 5 PS3 for $10 today. First time I've grabbed some decently priced deals from the clearance section in awhile.

I haven't seen good clearance deals at Target in over a year near me. I went to a few in my travels over the weekend and all of the Targets had a ton of clearance games, but most of them were not cheap. I was mainly looking for Dragon Age: Origins, but no luck anywhere. I went to one more by my work today, and was shocked to see a PS3 copy of DA:O just sitting on the clearance bin for $7.48, so I picked it up and left very happy!
 
Couldn't make it out to Target today...might head out in the morning before work. I can't wait to pick up those copies of Punchout, Red Steel 2, & RE DC. I hope there was a price drop again on those, although I'm not counting on it.
 
My store had a couple of fable 3CE's but they are still too expensive for me. All my store's white knight chronicles disappeared before I could get one cheap.
 
Althought it was only 7.xx, I returned Tropico 3. Games like that need to be played on the PC. So I will wait for a PC drop or pick it up for 20.
 
Heck I am still wondering about that Starcraft 2 CE that someone mentioned being on clearance months ago. I never saw it in my area. :(
 
Target in Fair Lakes had a lot of :360: games but nothing worth mentioning.
They had plenty of dragon origin (expansion/game) for $30.00. Sigh, another failure in VA:cry:

I can understand if Chantilly/Fairlakes was getting hit hard with people stealing/opening games and taking the discs...but it's the stashers who are taking the games and putting them in different parts of the store that are forcing them to put them in those plastic shells. :bomb::bomb::bomb:

I really wouldn't be surprised if LP has a way of "metal" detecting them so to speak with those cases on and finding out where they are in the store...when they are "stashed".

the clearance rack got raped hard, it was half empty but I did see
4 copies of lp2(ps3) - 19.xx
3 copies of alpha protocol(ps3) - 9.xx
2 copies of fable 3 ce - 55.xx
everything else was crap also I dont think anyone mentioned this but also saw dj hero 1(game only) for 34.xx on clearance not that great a deal imo
 
My target put out 3-4 of those LBP/DS3 bundles from last year. Don't know where they came from, but they were marked at $40 last night, and didn't go down again today (but all of them disappeared).

I bit on the last one.

2x White Knight Chronicles - gone
3x LBP GOTY/Controller combo pack - GONE!
5x Mass Effect 2 - gone
Super Street Fighter IV - gone
(allot more gone, but u get the point.)

I'm surprised the LBP/controller combo was gone since it's still $41..I would have waited for it to drop again if I was going to resell it.

Good news, is that I went to another Target & for some reason they now had a bunch of copys of Uncharted 2! - I go to that Target every week & haven't seen the game there in months.
The bad thing is that the clearance price was still $19.98 - but I still bought it since I'm sure El hoardo will strike them soon. (there were still 4 copys left )

Also Bioshock 1 (platinum hits) for 360 finally dropped in that store. - I picked it up for only $3.74.

The same store also had Dragon Age Origins for PS3 for $7.48 :) so I got that to..

I saw Fable 3 CE on clearance for $55.98
Tropico 3 for $7
Darkside Chronicles still $9.98
Sin & Punishment $12.48
Dragon Age Origins for 360 still was $20.98 -last copy they have to :|
Oblivion GOTY was still $14
RE5: Gold for 360 still $27 or whatever it is - hopefully it drops soon since I missed snagging the PS3 version.
 
Target in Melbourne fl, the one on US-192, had about 5 copies of DA: ultimate edition for 29.xx,
Also Marvel UA2 for 7.xx, alpha protocol 9.xx, and a bunch of other stuff, including some of the Fable3 LE's.

But it also had a really strange clearance game,
Disney's Epic Mickey for 35.xx . I got one of the 2 that was left.

Nothing that caught your eye, or literally nothing? Everytime I've stopped there, it's been nothing but a treasure trove of not only video game clearances, but store-wide clearance as well.
 
Well I felt like a drive today and actually hit five Targets, two of which I never really go to. Not much of interest, but I picked up:

:360: Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition for $19.98

'Twas the last copy in that store, the next store had a pile of them but for $27.98.

Not much else of interest, although I can also confirm:

:360::ps3: Dragon Age Origins Ultimate for $29.98 (spidey beat me to the DPCIs)

Finally found some more copies of Mass Effect 2, but they're $13.98 :cry: Should've snagged it before Thanksgiving at $9.98. That'll learn me. Fallout 3 GOTY was still $34.98 (boo), and they still want $59.99 for Bayonetta! Looks like Gamestop is getting my money for that one!

Hope you guys are finding some better deals!
 
I went to Target today hoping to pick up Sin and Punishment, but it was still marked $25 at this specific Target. The electronics guy told me to stop by next week to see if they have marked it down by then. Damn them! lol

Wow! I haven't found a $3.74 good game at Target clearance but a Wii bowling game. But for "Tekken 6", "Bioshock" and "Beatles Rockband", that's awesome!
 
No drops at my store, and it looks like theres even more games now. I hate how SoCal is so slow to drop prices. Of course the second prices drop on RE:TDC or S&P, Amazon will find a way to sell it for the price Target Clearance has it for...
