Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Swung by a few Targets tonight only found the Fable 3 CE for $55.xx. If anyone finds an extra Dragon Age Ultimate Edition for the 360, I'd gladly pay cost+shipping.

just got back from a target here in Fresno Ca and picked up Fable 3 CE for $39.98. came out to $43.57 after taxes. it was the last one on the clearance endcap

Wait, they already have Dragon Age Ultimate on clearance? Not that I'm complaining, but why did they even bother to stock it in the first place, lol.
Picked up at Target in Houston on 1960 near Willowbrook:

Dragon Age PS3 - $7.48
Alpha Protocol PS3- $9.98
We might had crossed each other's paths. I was there tonight and saw that. :D

I'm hoping that in a few Targets I'll stop at tomorrow to find RE Gold and Backbreaker for cheaper than the $27.99 they were at today. Picked up Dragon Age 360 for $7.48, but passed on Alpha Protocol at $10. Is it worth it?

Anyone in VA check out other Targets besides Fairlakes/Chantilly?
Please let me know if there are any :ps3: clearance items.
I will do the same :D
3 weeks now, no drops..
I visit many Targets regularly and also have seen no drops for 3 weeks. Titles have been added, but no drops. I wonder why suddenly there are Fable III LE's showing up where there were none before. How can Target expect to sell these at full price if they keep them in the back?
Some more DPCIs:

They had 2 copies of the DA:O Ultimate Edition (at that price) at the Greenville, NC Target last night. They also have 2 copies of Fable III CE, but I believe it was still $59.

Maybe you were the guy I stood behine waiting ti move so I could look at the clearance games. :p

IMO, no game isnt worth $10 to at least try. Except for Turning Point: Fall of Man. I got that game for $5 new and it was just a glitchy mess.

After a little more searching yesterday, I managed to find a lone copy of White Knight Chronicles for $12.48. Given the reviews I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but I popped it in when I got home last night with the intent to just check it out for a few minutes, and ended up playing for four hours (oops -- I had other things that I really should have been doing during that time). It's not the greatest game ever (the combat is a little too easy, the plot is a little trite), but it's definitely a serviceable JRPG, it's got good graphics and some really nice creature design, and it seems to be paced well. The detailed character creation was fun to play with, though it seemed a little pointless since the character that you create isn't actually the main character. Overall, despite its flaws, I think I'm actually enjoying this game more than I enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII, because it's not quite so linear (I mean, it is still linear in the way that most JRPGs are linear, but at least you don't spend hours running down a single narrow path).

Of course, with that comes the caveat that I'm only four hours in, so I have yet to see how the game really holds up over the long haul.

Still, for those who were debating whether it's worth it, if you're into JRPGs and have a PS3, IMHO this is not at all a bad pickup for $12.48.

You are so lucky!!
Which Target did you go to??

anyone find Ninja Sigma 2 or have a spare copy? I tried to pick it up but it rang up as not found in system so couldn't get it

Sterling. Nothing else worthwhile there, though -- just some Wii and DS shovelware.

Did you try asking them to look up the last-known price?

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is new at GS for 19.99...

You need to find an associate with a price gun, they can look up the last price in the system and then usually you can buy for that amount....

Actually I returned 2 copies that I bought (returned this last night closing time). They were going to let me repurchase but, what they told me is that the items that ring up as not in the system get sent to salvage! :bomb: I came back this morning and no copies to be found...

Anyone find a cheap copy, or two, of Napolean: Total War? There was a couple at my store for $14.98 last week but now they are gone. If anyone can help me find a copy or two I'd be grateful. Also found a PC Just Cause 2 today for $5.04 that I bought. Not much else, some stuff was still a little high for me (Fallout 3 GoTY, Dragon Age: UE) or it was complete crap (Wii or DS shovelware).

Yeah they used the salvage line on me too a couple nights ago. I had the associate scan the last known price and rung it out for it. We had to find a team lead to give her the go ahead but it was done. They may not be able to sell it since it's going to salvage but most times they do it for the customer. With a return/rebuy it's luck of the draw. If you find it in the clearance aisle and it comes up as item not found in system, do not go to the front and check out. Always let electronics scan last markdown and ring you out. They should train front end on how that works, since most have been crossed trained to use the scanners.

I just got really lucky and found the following marked with an "Online Item" sticker, but it was 100% sealed and new:

Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition - Xbox 360

The best part was the price : $6.66 It rang up as $26.98 or something, but I pointed out the sticker and the clerk made the adjustment for me.

What happens to the SALVAGE items after?

Taken from OP "Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items."

So wait, I can possibly find these games in Goodwill stores for sale? :D

Would you be interested if it were still $14.98? I have one at the store here and I don't remember the price, but I'll grab it for you if it's that price or lower.
It looks like El Whoredo struck my local Target & bought everything up.
3x Dragon Age origins - gone
2x White Knight Chronicles - gone
3x LBP GOTY/Controller combo pack - GONE!
5x Mass Effect 2 - gone
Super Street Fighter IV - gone
(allot more gone, but u get the point.)

I'm surprised the LBP/controller combo was gone since it's still $41..I would have waited for it to drop again if I was going to resell it.

Good news, is that I went to another Target & for some reason they now had a bunch of copys of Uncharted 2! - I go to that Target every week & haven't seen the game there in months.
The bad thing is that the clearance price was still $19.98 - but I still bought it since I'm sure El hoardo will strike them soon. (there were still 4 copys left )

Also Bioshock 1 (platinum hits) for 360 finally dropped in that store. - I picked it up for only $3.74.

The same store also had Dragon Age Origins for PS3 for $7.48 :) so I got that to..

I saw Fable 3 CE on clearance for $55.98
Tropico 3 for $7
Darkside Chronicles still $9.98Sin & Punishment $12.48
Dragon Age Origins for 360 still was $20.98 -last copy they have to :|
Oblivion GOTY was still $14
RE5: Gold for 360 still $27 or whatever it is - hopefully it drops soon since I missed snagging the PS3 version.
If you don't mind me asking what Target was this at, I have been wanting to get Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles Especially at $9.98
No drops at my store, and it looks like theres even more games now. I hate how SoCal is so slow to drop prices. Of course the second prices drop on RE:TDC or S&P, Amazon will find a way to sell it for the price Target Clearance has it for...
On Sunday, I saw an S&P at Target in Irvine on Irvine Blvd. and Jamboree Blvd.

I hadn't been checking clearances at Target for a long time because it seemed like they got rid of the clearance shelves when the converted to the new plastic prison system. I was pleasantly surprised it came back.

What was the price on the S&P there? I also saw it there prior to Black Friday and it was sitting at like $24.xx or $20.xx, whatever it is. Same with RE:TDC. I'm waiting for those to hit the next drop point down to $10 or $12 or whatever it is. I suppose since you saw it Sunday you wouldn't know if it dropped yesterday.

Reporting in from Tyler...

Picked up a DA: Ultimate and Tropico 3 today. Still had ~3 each of 360 DA Ultimate and PS3. Also had a couple of White Knight Internationals marked at 12.48. There's a Gold Edition RE5 for 360 at 2x.xx and a couple Fallout 3 GOTYs for 360 at 3x.xx all still lingering around. Not much else of note. Most of the remaining stuff were DS games.

Wow, they actually had a limited edition Fable III for $60. Not bad since it was originally $80 but still can't justify it at $60 since I already beat it (just once through though).

Well that's weird ...where did Fable 3 CE come from at Fairlakes?!?! wasn't there yesterday... That's going to be a little harder to stash since it's been spidered :(

No one has mentioned :360:Batman Arkham Asylum recently and I was wondering if they are still out there? If not, I'll just pick it up from Amazon's B1G1 50% deal.

Question is ...how do you find out which Goodwill store that store donates it to and how bad is the mark up over there?

It's been showing up at around 15........ honestly that game is worth the full price.

anyone in Davis CA? there are mass effect 2s, borderlands, alpha protocol nba live 2010, fifa 2010, wwe svr 2010, nhl 2010, beatles rockband, and bandhero in the target clearance. but no LBP/dualshock combo

I thought that if there was only one of the items left and you stashed it, that it won't ever drop in price since they have to manually mark them down...plus they'll probably just take it out of the system and write it off as stolen.
Question is ...how do you find out which Goodwill store that store donates it to and how bad is the mark up over there?
Yeah I know... Especially when there are quite of few Goodwill's in my area alone... But just for fun I might go check out several of them that are no more than a 5-10 minute drive from my place. There are like 3 of them.

Has anyone had any luck/experience with visiting the Goodwill stores?

Thanks man. I'll just go ahead and pick it up for that price. I haven't seen it at the 3 Targets I've been to recently.

Picked this up on my lunch today, figured it was worth a try at that price point. There are at least three more at the Reston, VA store. I also saw, but did not pick up, a copy of ME2 (around the same price), and a couple of Dragon Age Origins complete editions at ~$30 (I believe those were PS3, but I can't remember exactly). Lots of other titles, but nothing that caught my eye.

One GR MI Target hasn't dropped in weeks. Another I checked on my way to work I checked and scored the last $29.xx Dragon Age Ultimate. Last week they had a few other copies so hopefully they were picked on on Clearance and went to CAG's.

One of the best deals the DLC alone is worth the sticker price.

Nothing new to report at either location I checked.

**EDIT**
Neither locations had the PS3 versions on clearance the one copy I found was 360

Yeah, the big main Goodwill here gets games in sometimes.
I don't think Target donates to them unless they have a ton of copys, because my GW always has at least 8copys of each game. - usually all the games are crap of course, but occasionally the big popular games are seen like fallout/bioshocks

Well picked up the only copy of Fable 3 Collectors edition for $55.98 by me. Seems like a good deal since I haven't played the game yet and it was on my Christmas list. Merry Christmas me! It just appeared cause I was at the same Target on Friday and didn't even see it at regular price.

Saw one Batman:AA at a Target I stopped at today, it rang up at $20.98. Still looking for DA: Ultimate. Saw multiple copies of the regular but all still $20.98.

No drops at my local Target's and most were raided during Black Friday anyhow. The only new drop that I saw was Age of Empires 3 Complete collection. ($27.98)

Went to the Target in Apple Valley, MN and picked up: White Knight Chronicles (last copy) for $12.50 and Dragon Age Ultimate Edition (3 copies left) for $29.98 all for the PS3.

Saw Lost Planet 2 for $20 and Wolfenstein for $25. I was able to pick up Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY (PS3) for $20. Batman was not on clearance, it just looked like they placed the $20 price for the non-GOTY in front of the GOTY. The GOTY ranged up for $29.99, but I told the salesman in the video game area if he could sell it for me at that price and he did.

Picked up Uncharted 2 for $10 and FIFA 10 for the PS3 for $4.

They still had tons of Elder Scrolls: GOTY (360) for $15 and Borderlands (360) for $20. Well hold off on those until they drop again.

Also saw Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS3) and MAG for $8 each.

Just got back from Short Pump, VA location.

The only new additions that got my interest were the Dragon Age Ultimate at $30 for :360: and Age of Empires III for PC.

I just got Origins at $15 a few weeks ago, so I'll let Ultimate drop. And though I was really tempted by AoE 3, there wasn't a price tag and my computer has trouble running The Sims 2, so that's probably and unfortunately out of the question.

The recent Microsoft 10 cent deal would have been the time to buy the AoE3 game.
