Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

While I haven't come across games that are not in the system, we've come across toys and a couple pillows. We take them to the cashier and have them ring out. If it's not in the system, they've asked what we thought a fair price was or if they had something similar to it, they would put a discount on that. Picked up what appeared to be $20 pillows for $4 and $18 toys for $3 doing this.

It's $19.99 in today's Amazon "17 Days of Deals" sale, if you're willing to pay that much. If you have Prime or you order it with something else to get the free shipping, it wouldn't cost you a whole lot more than it would for the game plus shipping from another CAG picking it up for you at Target anyway.

People in SoCal might want to check their Targets. There were drops today for the first time in one month at my Target that hardly ever has drops and once they do the items don't stay in stock very long. We've finally caught up to the rest of the country clearance price wise.

Hrm, no price drops at my closest Target, and the other with the missing clearance section still is missing their clearance section. And they have like 2 empty endcaps in electronics. Not sure what's going on, and they were actually fairly busy this morning so I didn't bother to hang around to ask anyone...
 
Stopped by the Target near South Coast Plaza & there clearance section is now empty/gone/underconstruction/whatever. Sucks!
 
Picked up a Dragon Age Ultimate for PS3 for 29.98 today. Didn't even see it that low on black Friday. Figure i'll give it to a buddy of mine for Christmas, I'm waiting to see a good sale on it for the steam sale maybe.
 
Well. no new finds or drops and what's worse is that the few copies of Oblivion sold out at $21:bomb:WTF.

Also came across a possible CAG or maybe a reseller (maybe both;)). He was in front of the games clearance checking his cell. As soon as I started looking thru the games, he grabbed a pile and walked away:roll:

I'm going to take this as a sign to spend more time playing games from the backlog and take a break from checking Target clearance, 'til next year anyway.

No drops @ my Target @ all. There was almost NOTHING left of note other than DAUE @ $29.98 still as well as FO3 GOTY for 360.

If I have the cash I'll definitely pick up DAUE PS3 for $29.98 or less if it drops & is still there.
 
ive been in 5 targets and none have borderlands for 15 bucks, is 20.98 in all, bad luck i guess, they also have like 20 copies of mass effect 2 each, the game runs for 9.98, also i have found a lot of copies of resident evil 5 gold edition but only for 360, not even one for ps3
 
Picked up the only Dragon Age Ultimate for 360 at the Target near Fayette Mall in Lexington, Ky for 29.98. Four or so 29.98 copies left for PS3. Nothing else great.
 
My target had a bunch Uncharted 2s for $10. Think they had DAO ultimate, but I think it was $40. Nothing else really notable. Mass Effect 2 for $14. Halo Wars Collectors Edition $13. Age of Empires III $25. Alpha Protocal $20. Some other junk. Think they still had a White Knight Chronicles, don't know the price. Also Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Don't know the price.

They had one copy of LP2 and was so damn excited.. upon examining the game, I realized the shrink wrap was not original.. seems like someone opened it and returned it... so disappointed.. they have new games that I haven't seen there before... a bunch of RE5 gold for :360: none for :ps3: =( Anyone have any luck in VA? please let me know or PM me :applause:

I went to 2 Targets today and snagged ME2 for $9.98. :)
Didn't see any other deals though.

fucking Green Day RB is still $28. I need it for at least ~$20. I'll download the songs and then trade it back in to Amazon. Just got to find it.
 
I found Rhythm Heaven for DS for $7.48, pretty nice find.

Unfortunately Green Day RB and the Dragon Age GOTY thing still held at $20 and $30. I'd get Green Day RB but it doesn't come with an export code. Hopefully it will drop down to $10 and I can still get it.

edit: Holy crap it trades in for $19? Guess I'm going back to Target :)
 
Checked a couple Targets today, didn't notice any drops either. In fact, the clearance rack in both stores was pretty bare. One store that had several (10+) copies of ME2 and RE5 Gold was down to one of each. Probably going to go back tomorrow and snag that last ME2.

yeah it trades in for $19! I didn't realize this until today. So then it'll be ~$10 to export them. So bam.
 
Yeah just got back, glad I went cause it was the last Green Day RB copy at my Target. Hopefully you can find a copy at $20 too, thanks for the heads up! Going to export and have until Dec 20th to send in my copy. Can get some of the cheeves too.

Looks like El Hoardo struck the Target in Anaheim on Euclid.
Nothing left at all.
They had 4-5 Uncharted 2's a few days ago, but for $20+, I'm surprised they didn't wait for it to get marked down to $10

They could have been marked down this morning. Target in Orange had a markdown on just about everything this morning after a month of no mark downs. I know every Target has a different markdown schedule but the LA/OC ones are often on the same page.
 
Picked up Mortal Kombat Unchained (PSP) $3.48, FIFA 10 (PSP) $4.98 and Legend of Starfish (DS) $7.48. At least 30 copies FIFA 10 (PS3) 7.48 left
 
Finally got :ds: Glory of Heracles for 7.48. It may suck, but I can live with 7.48 suck. Saw a ton of :360: DA:O for 7.48 at a Target I'm not usually near, but have no use for them.
 
I picked up Dragon Age(360) for 7.48 and Alpha Protocol (ps3) for 9.98. Also saw GTA Liberty City Stories for 14.98 (still a little too expensive, couldnt do it) and Dragon Age Ultimate for 360 and PS3 for 29.98. I decided to go with the original because 7.48 was so cheap, and I thought that by the time I get to playing Dragon Age / finishing it, Ill just go out and buy it since itll be much cheaper.

Never bothered with these clearances but I'd really like to check out the Target that's next to the 24hour fitness gym I go to. So whats the deal with these clearance, do I just grab a game in the clearance bin and scan it at one of the scanner thingies?

did you check the price on the scanner for uncharted 2 when you saw them? Mine was stickered 19.xx but rang up 9.xx

Where did you move to? Smaller town Targets don't seem to be shopped nearly as much as others -- moving away from my previous town has left my wallet somewhat happy, as the Super Target we have here gets destroyed as soon as something anywhere near half decent drops on clearance, it seems.
