Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Well, I wouldn't considering being optimistic in finding a clearance copy a good strategy. If it's not selling out in your area, it's going to sell out before you can ask, "What's the DPCI?"

i kid! hell yeah this is sold out, I really wish I'd got it now. None of the 20+ BB's within 200 miles have it. GS has nada, haven't seen it at any place like Wal-Mart or Target..

Forgot to mention, picked up the Iron Man 2 @ $4.98 (marked @ $9.98) for the :360: at the Elk Grove location last night.

Maybe I should flip it at GS for an extra $4 and change....

Target next to my GS
Was trading in a boat load of games so I picked up Iron Man 2 for ~$5.50 including tax
Base trade in is $6 + 50%bonus +10% PUR = ~$9.60...
+$4: I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but still easy 75% ROI.
 
My target has a ton of the Beatles rock band disc only for like 16 bucks as well as dj hero 1. They also had a handful of each Mario back packs, Mario monopoly , and a Mario puzzle.
 
As far as clearance goes, pretty meh. Halo Reach Legendary Edition i have been watching hasnt dropped yet, gonna check again tommorow. Aside from that, bunch of DS Shovelware and PS Move games.

As far as MvC3 goes, those of you still finding the LE's must live in small towns. Anyone who finds one on clearance should be declared "Almighty Lucky Bastard"
 
The Target in Culver City, CA had several copies of Beatles Rock Band 360 for $7.98. Same with Iron Man 2, also 360.

I believe WarioWare: DIY was $14.98, but I'm not certain enough to put it in red. I already have it, so I didn't pay the closest attention.

Best I had seen was UC2:GOTY down to 25 and LP2 down to 15 before it dropped everywhere. And I did catch two of the deals on the Fable 3 LE's as well, but didn't bite. Keep in mind there is one hoarder who literally buys multiple copies of everything, then comes to Wal-mart and rebuys them at our price with gift receipts, and then returns both copies for usually a nice net profit. And that is the Sandusky store.

So, it would be actually worth it for $75?

I am trying to decide if Marvel Vs Capcom 3 CE is worth it $70... Steelbook is great, but the game I am not too urgently desire to play right now. However, if it becomes a rare with no chance of been cheaper I might get it!

Yeah, I remember the first one being on clearance but didn't remember when. I double checked the receipt and the DPCI this time is "201" not "207". Plus, like I wrote it's the GOTY version (which was released in July 2009).

If you don't won't to put it in the OP, my feelings won't be hurt though. :)

Thanks for the response man. I used to live in Sandusky but now its a bit out of my way so I guess I won't worry about that store anymore. I wish the Exchange over there would be more competitive in their pricing.

target clearance has been boring for a really long time now. I checked last week, and they had one game, and one game only: Beatles Rock Band for $14. I was hoping that the likes of Just Cause 2 and Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions would be hitting clearance, but nope. nothing. Besides Beatles, I've only seen Wii shovelware, and even some PS2 shovelware.

I think the scam is to return 1 copy with the gift receipt and 1 copy with the regular receipt.

Although I'm not sure how walmart hasn't caught on yet.

And shouldn't both receipts be linked in their system? That is the whole purpose of having a gift receipt, to make sure it gets returned at the correct price. I would think Walmart should have a decent receipt tracking system by now, although some "fraudulently inclined" people just do the no receipt return.

Woohoo, Halo Reach Legendary is still at the store, currently marked 57.09 (Or something like that), grabbing it the moment it drops next week. (Or not, couldnt care much either way.)

Pretty empty store, and its survived all week at its current price, whats a few more days.

Is Marvel and Capcom CE really that limited??? It seem to be only 1 left in each store and many stores already sold out.... Amazon is sold out too... Best Buy and Gamestop also sold out? Toys R us and other stores got them?

Lol, i would buy it now, but i already have Reach. Pretty much only reason i'd buy it is to keep the Legendary stuff, then just flip the game to gamestop or something. 57 seems a bit much for that.

Not going to get much flipping it. A few weeks ago when Best Buy had their B2G1 deal, I got three copies of Reach Legendary, with each one priced at $80. I sold the codes for about $40 each, and the games for $22 or so. I only bothered to sell one statue, and that sold for $1.25. I didn't lose money, but the profit I did make wasn't worth the trouble. I'm happy with the two statues I kept, but don't expect to make much. Gamestop.com had the Legendary listed for $59.99 a few days ago. Maybe when it hits 75% off, I might buy it and try flipping it again, or just give the codes to my son and make a few bucks on the game. The statue is just too big and bulky to make any kind of profit off eBay.

You have to be just trolling this thread for fun. There is no way that you're dumb enough to think that Target is going to clearance the (at most) 2 or 3 copies of a CE it just got in and has pretty much sold out EVERYWHERE else... Whatever. Just wait for it to hit 85% off.

All of those games for $66.01 with tax...tough to beat. I went in there to grab a MvC 3 CE, but decided to spend the same money on 7 games, instead of 1 game + a figurine.

Hopefully the Targets around here will drop those Move games to $10 soon. I just bought a Move bundle from Fry's.

However I did finally find the Nintendo Monopoly for $14.98 at the 249 & Jones Houston Target.

I was just at the Target on Westheimer and dunvale yesterday and I saw The fight, Mel B, and The shoot all for $10. FYI, The fight trades in on amazon for $20.75 and The shoot trades in for $22.00
 
Interesting that those games dropped on Friday. I'm guessing that because they were part of the "Big Deals" thing, they're on that schedule instead of the videogames...

Then you don't really know how Target operates, Target doesn't go by New release or if other stores sold out! I think I am smart, but the true problem is Target isn't! Many big CEs has sold out everywhere else before has seen clearances at Target! Isn't that why Target clearance rocks though? You think they sold out already((starcraft 2 CE) a long ago but months later they all re-appear, and no they never re-distributed these!! Although, Marvel Vs Capcom is a lot smaller than SC2 CE and doesn't take as much shelf space.... we will see! Another perfect example, Fable 3r CE - $19.99!!!

You've been asked politely enough times to stop spamming this thread with inane BS. You obviously believe that this will occur, so feel free to hold out for that. Everyone else disagrees, and fortunately for you that leaves plenty of copies for you if you're right. Either way please just leave this thread for useful discussion. You've made twenty posts in this thread recently about starcraft 2 ce and mvc3 ce, and not a single one has been coherent or useful in any way. Most simply spur tons of responses trying to decipher or correct your message, making this thread even harder to navigate for those that are kind enough to maintain it.
