Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
I would sell the RC car. It takes 12 - yes, 12 - AA batteries. Six in the car and six on the remote. That right there is reason enough to dump it!
Ha, reminds me of the GameGear.

I will be updating the OP tonight...thanks for all the new adds/price drops.

Please stop with the extra crap, though.

and to jtreason1985....please think before you post....thank you.
The bigger question I have is, how is everyone price scanning all these games? Every PS3 game at this particular Target store is locked in and unless I hunt someone down to unlock the case and stand there while I scan all their games. I'm not sure how everyone else is able to just scan anything they want.
Try to get the DCPI # off the price tag, if you can see it. Then go to the price checker and you can key in the # without having to manually scan the bardcode. The current price should come up, with no need to bug an employee.

Yes, that is how it's done with these scanners . Unfortunately, there are still some stores that have that the old scanners
target-scanner-old.jpg
and do not allow you to do that. I only know of 2 stores around here that have the old scanners, the rest have the newer ones.

Salisbury MD had a TON of stuff, I don't remember everything but -

2 SFU II for PS3 and 1 for 360 all at 55.xx

3 Rapstar for PS3 1 for 360 at 37.xx

1 SSFIV PS3

1 Prestige BO for PS3 74.xx

1 Legendary Reach still at 104.xx (they just put this back out)

Tons of DJ Heroes for PS3 and 360, too many to count

3 or 4 DCU for PS3

There was more but that was the main stuff. I'll be keeping an eye on the Legendary Reach for sure...they also have price cut on Reach SE at $60 (not sure why those aren't on clearance too).
This happened to me. When I called Activision and told them my Prestige edition was sealed and was mailed to me from best buy but still in the factory Activision card board box with a don't open until 09.09.11 stamp they basically told me tough Sh%%. They said it sounded like theft and that I should return it to the retailer.

Good luck though
Just... Great... well the tough shit will be on them, I won't give up on this. I'm not going to pay $75 for the game (that i already have) and a piece of shit RC car with no DLC codes. I really was hoping that I was just being a complete moron and overlooking something. Hopefully taking pics/scanning pics of the dlc card will be enough proof for Activision.

Picked up an Acer H213H 21.5" monitor on clearance for $111.98. I would've liked to have waited for another drop (this was 30%) but I know my Target doesn't stock a ton of monitors and I wanted a new one for work. gotta say I am really happy with it so far, with the (minor-ish) exception that the demo unit they had up had an HDMI port but the one I bought didn't. (I see now on the box where it says which inputs it has in VERY tiny print, at the store I couldn't find it as I was in a rush)

But DVI's fine for my needs and it looks really pretty awesome for the price. I'm sure I could've done slightly better shopping around for a different model but I'm happy. (although I forgot about the $8 CA recycling fee on top of tax so it was a bit pricier out the door than I would've liked but that would've gone for any monitor)

Picked up Dantes Inferno for $9.*

Saw : A lot of wii shovelware, NfS Shift @ 13.**, army of two? @13.**

Halo Legendary holding strong at 104. along with SWFU2 CE @ 55.00.
Yeah, the HDMI models were the first gen, which clearanced out last year.
Bummer. I remember when they were clearanced (didn't realize it was the same "model") and everyone said how great they were... I also remember the prices never dropping at my stores (for months) until they just disappeared, not sure if they sold or they finally sent 'em to wherever to salvage.

Two Weeks Ago: Halo Reach Legendary 54.99
Last Week: Halo Reach Legendary 74.99
Today: Halo Reach Legendary 104.99

Wat? I even scanned it, what manner of witchcraft could be behind a double reverse clearance drop
Don't know if this has been posted already but:

:ps3: Dante's Inferno Divine Edition - $9.98
Tape those under the register now.
The funny thing is that I saw the regular version of Dante's Inferno right down the aisle for $19.99. Lmao.
If you saw a regular version of Dante's Inferno for PS3, that is a rare find. Buy that shit.

They...exist...?
Unless I'm completely missing/overlooking something I don't see a DLC code anywhere in my box. Everything was still sealed, and was a pain in the ass to open. The steelbook had the disc, manual, and little card with the avatar picture and redemption info but no 25-digit code anywhere. Looks like I get to call Activision later today and play the "hold the line" game.

Good luck to everyone else still hunting for copies!
Did they really forget to print the codes on the card with the avatar picture? Damn that sucks. Mildly amusing, but still sucks.

If calling them doesn't help, try using their support webpage. They helped me out with the codes from a Hardened edition that GameStop sold to me gutted.

I swear I saw the codes with the disc when the guy took it out of drawer, but I'll be damned if they weren't missing when I got home. I still think he just left it on the counter when he was putting the disc back in the case. Or he pocketed it :/

Edit: I did have to jump thru a couple hoops to get the codes tho, including sending them an uploaded copy of my receipt, but that was for MSRP, so idk if ur clearance price would hurt ur chances

I tried calling when I had that Hardened code come up missing and didn't get very far with that. They did say a couple things that clued me in a bit tho, and I went thru their support page and was successful.

A couple of times :D

Picked up PS3 Dante's Inferno Divine Edition for $9.98 like everyone else.

They also had the Halo Reach Legendary for $104 and the PS2/Toy Story thing for $70.

I just bought Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days DS for $12.48. I initially was going to pass on it but figured I would attempt a return and re-buy a week from now.

They put the last one at my store "in the back" apparently (either that or got a redistributed copy) for a good three months and it just reappeared at 104.99.

If any Salisbury are CAGs are seeing this I got dibs on it if it drops back to where it should be! Not that saying that matters to anybody  but still.

The real question though is why are the legendary versions on clearance and yet they still have two of the 79.99 ones at 59.99 non-clearance...

3 Targets today - nice weather in Northeast felt like driving - 2 had 1 each of Halo Legendary box at $104 and 1 had 2 copies of Dante at $9.98, now 1 copy, thank you CAG. Also saw that monitor mentioned above but was marked down from $119 to $84 so maybe a different one? And lots of Wii shovelware, though may pick up Big Buck Pro Hunter gun pack for $20 for my dad's birthday when I go back for the still $69 PS2. Nobody in electronics today and I was late to catch my kids bus. Couldn't find any Move games in any Target. Think I'll only be going to the closest one from here on out where I got Dante.

Thanks for the heads up about the monitor. I snagged one, and the $84 monitor mentioned earlier is a 17" Acer with 1366x768 resolution. Not as good a deal, but pretty good if you're gaming on a budget.
I am now a cheap-a** 1080p gamer. :) Though I had to run out and buy a HDMI-to-DVI converter, and rerouting the sound is a little bit of a pain. Regardless, the PS3 and 360 look amazing, upgrading from a 27" Olevia that goes up to 720p.

Found only 1 more Prestige edition but some bum already opened it so i left it. Did get the final Dante's Inferno PS3 at one location, otherwise just a bunch of wii and a few move games.
Never buy a PS3 prestige if its been opened. The steelbook isn't sealed and there's easy access to the DLC code.
it was a 360 version but the seals were broke on top and the box seemed pretty beat and the flaps seemed like they were creased like someone had opened it.

yeah, you made the right move. Someone probably stole the code and/or disc out of it and reclosed it.

People suck.

Thanks for the update. In So Cal I saw three Dante and 3 dragon age ultimate , but DA is still $34.98. Wonder if I should wait for the drop or pick it up at k mart for $24.99.

Novato, CA

1 Dante's Inferno: Divine Edition (PS3)= $9.98
2 Dragon Age: Ulimate Edition (PS3)= $34.98

I picked a copy of Dante's Inferno, since I've been wanting to play it again since I first ran into it at PAX 2009. Couldn't pass up at $10.

snagged a PS3 Call of Duty Black-Ops Prestige Edition as I had already bought the 360 version and regretted not having the prestige. At this price, it was a no-brainer (plus I get to play black ops on the other system too).

If you have a KMart in the area, Dragon Age Ultimate is $24.99 this week.

Forgot to mention, one of the stores I checked had a good 20 PS2s out on the clearance endcap at $84.98, a mix of plain and Toy Story bundles. It'll be interesting to watch them fly off the shelves... ;)

I went to over 5 targets and called 6 of them in and around Dallas area and couldn't find even 1 copy of Black OPS Prestige edition for 360. Found 2 for PS3 in the Target near Dallas Pkwy and W Park blvd. In case someone is looking for one.

Ended up buying Army of Two:40th day for $9.99 for :360:

I grabbed the last copy of The Fight ps3 in our neighborhood target yesterday for $10. AMZN TIV is $17.50 so I can try and if I don't like it, I'll trade it in to AMZN.

Just picked up GT 5 CE for $69.99. I guess this game dropped elsewhere to 49.99? Anyone know how much these go for on ebay? I actually don't have any interest in this game.

Saw the same new additions as everyone else (SW:TFU2 CE, Dante's Inferno, Big Buck Hunter) but the one game I wanted to pick up, Samurai Warriors 3 on Wii, was at $34.98 - still a bit high for me.

360 Black Ops Prestige was down to $64.98 and PS2's were @ $69.98.

A few days ago my local Target had like 20 PS2's that were 69.98 , today they are all gone.

Very lucky! I wish I could find one of these.
What % off is that?
That's almost 90% off since the MSRP is 39.99.

Was the 9.98 price overrode with that by the store manager ? I have not seen any games for that much off.

Edit: Are they in plain sight or hidden? Many items in my stores only go to 15% or 30% clearance before they disappear so I'm not sure if people are buying them out or they are being sent back somewhere.
Sometimes my stores shows things as limited availability but I never find those items so I guess someone hides them or the inventory is just plain wrong.
