Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Question for those who used their DLC codes, is it possible for others who don't have it to join you in those extra zombie maps (if you host), or do they have to have the DLC as well?

I had purchased a CoD Black Ops Prestige Edition for 50% last Monday. Today, I went to Target and noticed that it now rang up 75% off. I tried a return rebuy but they were very adamant about now allowing that. Does anyone have any tips to try to get this to work???

It's their policy to not allow returning/rebuying clearance items.. it all comes down to luck really. You could try getting a different employee to do the return, but it's extremely highly YMMV.

Unless you get a totally awful employee they wont' do it. This was one of the first things they told me not to do when i worked there... pretty common that folks try.

You can however return it if it's still sealed. Wait for them to put it back on the shelf and rebuy that way. Enormous risk involved here though, as you basically have to check back every hour or so to ensure no one else (including employees) snatches it up.

TLDR: Not much you can do, enjoy the huge discount you already got.

Tell them you would like to put it on your other credit card. Some employees are too lazy to key in the old price.

The only way to get these maps are by having this code. Can't buy them on XBL.

I sold my code for $66 which meant I paid ~$10 for the game and RC car.
 
So are the Call of Duty codes still selling well on both the PS3 and XBox? Last time I was at my Target they only had a PS3 version, which I don't have anymore, so it would be solely to sell.

They're showing up as OOS for me too on that webpage, hope that's not the case! If so that was pretty crappy of them to do it on a random day, I know mine usually does it at the beginning of the week sometime.

Even the Reach LE is showing up as OOS, does anybody know if that dropped around them yet? Not sure what price I'd bite on that but no way for 104.xx.
 
I checked Friday evening and COD:BL was still $75 at a store I frequent. I hit several other Targets over the weekend and they had Blops for $75 as well.
This morning it was $35.
Halo: Reach Legendary was still $104.
 
Well I'd hope some idiot didn't buy the one at my store for 104! If so I guess more power to them for being ignorant. Can't believe they shot the price back up to begin with since it's already been so much lower both at Target and countless other places.

At my Wal Mart they still have both Halo 3 and Reach LE's, both for faaaaaaaar too much. I think 3 was right around 100 and Reach was around 140.
 
I'm kind of a newb to target clearance.. so I have a question.

If a new clearance drop has hit an item will their have to be a new sticker on it depicting the price for it to ring up in the system? My target is very very slow at updating clearances and every single item that has been reported at a certain price will never scan in at that price unless their is a clearance sticker on it so I've stopped bothering to self scan items.

Is this normal?

Mine is also very good at updating clearance stickers. I only self scan if it's a really good item that hasn't dropped in at least 3 weeks. It's usually a waste of time so I only do it a few times a year at most.

I think it's just really hit or miss sometimes, at the store in Salisbury MD they seem to be completely random. Once I've scanned something and had it be a lower price, that was Burnout Paradise. But generally it's what the sticker says at my store. In fact in the past they've been very random when they drop too, sometimes quicker than other stores sometimes slower. Recently though they seem to be the same as other places for the most part so I'm not sure if corporate is starting to mandate a more uniform process or what.
 
Well hell, I managed to snag the Black Ops set but it's for the PS3...I have a 360. Anyone happen to have a trade for the 360 version that has a PS3? :p

There were 2 for 360 near my store...if they have it for the cheap price I might be willing to trade...ill check later when I get done with my classes
 
At my target yesterday they had a Black Ops Prestige for 360 at only around 79.xx on clearance. I also so a Reach Legendary and GT5 Collectors. I didn't see the price for the Reach but GT5 Collectors was only like 69.xx. Very YMMV.

Does anybody happen to know if the Def Jam Rapstar microphone works with Singstar? There's a TON of those bundles at my local target and I'm willing to pick it up for $12.xx for the microphone alone. I've been looking for a cheap microphone for Singstar for a while.
 
By the way, I found Sonic Free Riders in the clearance section also. There was no price tag on it though. I didn't get a chance to scan it because I was in a bit of a rush but I just thought I'd let you guys know. This was in College Point, NY. :)

I'm pretty sure the only mics that will work with Singstar is the actual Singstar mics.

The Singstar mics should work on Def Jam with no issue, however.

Picked up Def Jam for the PS3 for $12.48 ... and a PS2 for $69.98.

They had a Black Ops prestige bundle for $37 ... but the security sticker over the opening flap was ripped and the rc car looked beat to hell, possibly a return, so I passed on it.
 
Spotted :ps3: Rock Band 3 Keyboard - $59.04

It had a "Repackaged" note with the usual clearance sticker so I'm not sure if this is an online return. It looked brand new however.

If you make sure the original seal is on it (black matte sticker), I would trade, but I am in Illinois.
