Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Seems to be gone from thread lately but 2 PS2 slims for $84 (w/o Toy Story 3) left in Farmingdale. The Target in Copaigue sold out of the ones with Toy Story 3 for $69.

Interestingly enough, on mon night, copiague had 1 COD Black Ops for 360, then tuesday morning it showed copiague out of stock and central islip in-stock and gone today. Which one of yous did the return-rebuy? Kudos to you!

Dammit... Missed COD:BO (wanted the car) and only saw PS3 Def Jams today... When I looked at the on Monday, I guess the price team hadn't come around. Would have liked to have tried a 360 version... fuck.

ARRRGH, no new scanner at my Target so I asked an employee and she looked it up for me with her scanner. It showed the price and what it was but she said they didn't have any. HOWEVER, she gave me a really weird look and then after talking to me nearly ran to the back...

Thinking something was up I asked the customer service lady on the way out and she said it was still showing there was one in stock (which would be more up to date? the scanner an employee is carrying on a computer at cs?). She kept telling me if I didn't see it, it was probably a display and I kept saying no no no that's not it.

I find it hard to believe somebody stashed it since it's so cheap, so either an employee is "accidentally" keeping it in the back or it was bought just before I got there and the system didn't update yet (at least the cs woman told me that was possible). On the off chance it just hadn't been put out yet (there were still TONS of employees stocking around the store) I'll run in again quick a little later today.

If somebody a CAG is pulling this off, nothing I can say but kudos to you...if it's an employee then screw you...

There was a bunch of new stuff out though but I was preoccupied so didn't catch it all but we had a lot of PSP stuff, Mod Nation and Gran Turismo both at 9.xx and NFS Shift and Jax and Daxter at 13.xx. Just Cause 2 on PS2 (360 was still normal 29.99) for 20.xx. There was a bunch of other PS3 stuff and some Wii stuff too.
Grabbed a copy of Def Jam Rapstar for the Xbox for $12.48. They just appeared out of nowhere. I was waiting for the PS3 version (that they have multiple copies of) to hit that price, but they are still at $24.98.
Funny, I've been looking for the 360 version. Saw the PS3 ~$13 so I got that instead. Now I'm conflicted as to opening this right away or keep hunting for the 360 version. I have the Kinect and no Move/Eye and I think the videos would be funny.

Would I be weird if I got both?

P.S. Is the 360 mic wired?

I ended up picking up Def Jam Rapstar for PS3 and I can confirm that the microphone indeed DOES work with Singstar. The Rock Band microphone works with Singstar as well. The way to get them to work is to plug them into that USB Hub adapter that comes with the Rock Band bundles rather than straight into the PS3. =)

Falmouth, VA had 2 PS2s for $70 yesterday. Got my $25 copy of Rapstar for 360, now just hoping I'll hit a Target next week when it drops to $12.50.
I found the PS3 Def Jam Rapstar for $12.48 at the Macedonia store. The 360 version was still 24.98.
It was the reverse for me. 360 was 12.48, PS3 was 24.98 at one store I checked. TFU2 is still 59.xx. Hope the PS3 one survives a drop next week

Finally found a good clearance title at my Target. Picked up Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition for $24.98 - it was the last one and I know it wasn't gonna survive until 75% off. Nothing else besides that, though.

Norman, OK had marked down the Original DJ Hero to 48.XX, Rap star PS3 for 34.XX & XB3 for 25.XX along with the Halo Legendary for 59.99 as a mark down. Was hoping to find Just Cause 2.

new drops:

27.98
[207-26-0380] ExciteBots Trick Racing Game Only (added 3-16-11)

34.98
[207-26-0381] ExciteBots Trick Racing Bundle (added 3-16-11)

OP updated, sorry it's been a couple of days....

please keep your trade requests in the Target Clearance Trade Forum

Thanks

Norman never has shit man. All the good stuff is bought at MSRP or is sold shortly after 15% off. It's one of the top selling stores in the chain. Best bet is OKC South Target, and Midwest City. Those two are ghost towns the last few times I've been there.

Thanks Hydro! Yeah thats what I figured, idk why. I mean I know WHY, because OU has a lot of dumbass students (like the school but the kids they let in now are shit stupid) and it's near the rich side of town, but people need to learn to let deals happen! haha. I actually go to school at Rose State so I'll need to check out the targets up there!

I remember when I was at OU they never had anything either. Best deals I got in my 4 years was when Circuit City went out of business. And even those weren't that good.

Up in Tulsa we seem to be a drop behind most other people. Haven't been this week though so maybe something dropped. But the odds of me finding DCUO or Just Cause 2 on markdown are extremely low.

I went to my Target a few hours ago and saw the following (sorry if there are repeats and/or wrong prices).

:wii: ExciteBots w/ Wheel - $34.98
:wii: ExciteBots Game Only - $27.98
:360: DJ Hero Game Only - $5.09
:wii: Your Shape w/ Camera - $23.98 (This might be wrong since the picture I took came out really blurry)

ExciteBots is pretty good, but you can get it used by itself at GameStop for $20 (or at least you could when I got it like 6 months ago).

They also had a bunch of cheap games near the front. They seemed to be mostly shovelware, but they had a few decent looking titles including:
:360: BioShock Platnium Hits Edition
:360: LEGO Rock Band
:wii: Ghostbusters
:ds: Ghostbusters

None of the games had prices on them, but I scanned BioShock and it came out to $14.95, so I assume the other games are the same price. I didn't get it since I didn't have enough cash on me, but I might get it the next time I go.

I have played LRB on Wii and it has a pretty decent setlist (for those who want to get it to export the songs to RB3). I paid $10 for it at Wal-Mart and I feel that $15 is a pretty good price for it, especially since the Wii version lacks online stuff including DLC and online play as well as no way to export the songs to the RB3 Wii (which I want to get sometime soon).

Question for you guys. I picked up the Call of Duty prestige edition last week for 7x.xx. It was the only copy my target had (none of them around my area carried these anymore) and didn't think it would go lower than that (boy was I wrong). Anyways the black tape was broken, but it had the security wire/thing around it. I asked a guy if I could check that everything was inside (because of the DLC). He let me do that and everything seemed untouched but when I asked about the DLC card (I'm here thinking it would be loose in the box), he told me that they usually come inside the case, which in this case still had the xbox seal. Sure enough, it was there when I opened it after I bought it, but as I'm reading some of these posts, I'm wondering if these were already redeemed and returned. Is there any way to check these codes without redeeming them?

Found this today while browsing the electronics department:

207-11-0010 PS2 Slim Toy Story 3 Bundle $84.98

Hopefully it will go down further.

That was posted before.
At all my local stores it was gone the day after it hit 69.98.

At Hazel Dell WA there wasnt much. A couple :ps2: for $69. Several xbox 360 rapstars. One big Halo super special edition box and that was it.
Wanted to find Borderlands or maybe that NFS game for :ps3:

Found NFS Shift yesterday for $14 while looking for a markdown on Just Cause 2 or Transformers. My store still hasn't marked those 2 games down, so I doubt they were going to markdown NFS Shift to $10 anytime soon.

I had this same concern since I was selling my DLC. My top seal was broken but the game was still sealed. You can check by entering the code THROUGH YOUR XBOX on XBOX LIVE. If you enter your code through your Xbox on Xbox Live, it will give you a chance to 'confirm' your download and you can back out if you're not wanting to use it. I've heard if you enter the code through the Xbox Live Website, it will automatically use the code if valid and add it to your download queue.

YES. If you enter the code online at xbox.com it redeems immediately.

Picked up an ice cream maker for $14.98 down from $59.99 today. Don't know the exact name of it, but 072-04-0160 is the number. The alcoholic ice creams that will be attempted this summer!

Best drinking investment I ever made was a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker... Good Lord that thing makes some great drinks... It wasn't cheap, though.

Aroma 4 Qt. Traditional Ice Cream Freezer with Die Cast Hand Crank & Electric Motor. That's what it says on the box. Camera on my phone is jacked tight now, but this thing's in my car, so I just walked out and shared what was on the box.

ahh it's this one:

Wow, I've got employees working against me on clearance video games, it sucks. For example: On Monday :ps3:Star Wars TFUII CE was in clearance and sticker said $55.xx, normal. Now on Thursday they REMOVED the clearance stickers, moved them into a glass case, and put up a price label of $79.99. I had them scan it, still read $55.xx, really wtf. Every Target near me has greedy employees who hide, don't display, or REMOVE clearance stickers and put them behind glass so no one gets clearance games but them.

Side note from seeing an old game on display: I doubled checked to see if I was crazy, but I looked in previous Target Clearance thread and it listed ":ps3: 13.98 Assassin's Creed (added 09-20-10)" but today I saw it on display and rings up at $19.99, so it's back for some reason.

If that's the only Target for you, sorry about that. But you could also go the "can't beat 'em, join 'em" route and buy all the copies of them, and then return them to another Target, just for spite.

If you just want the vanilla edition I've seen it for $20 at several Walmarts.

Had some employees hiding a CoD BO recently, even got dirty looks from some when I was having them look it up on their scanners...

Man dragon age ultimate still staying at $34.98 but I got the ice cream maker for $14.98 and it's like the picture you showed. Thanks for the posting.

Do video games make it to 90% off anymore? There's a bunch of copies of Truth or Lies for $4.98. It'll take $2.50 to move them.

Clearance signs used to say "All prices end at $0.01"

hit my local target for a picture frame
had to check out the clerence section like any CAG would

Def Jam Rapster ps3- $25
Dragon Age Origins- $25
truth or lies- $15
Halo reach legendary- $70 the huge one
dj hero $35

a bunch of ds games but nothing to make me spend money
got my frame and socks and left

Does anyone know of any current clearance titles in Houston? I've checked around but haven't seen any of titles that were mentioned in earlier pages.
My Target got a bunch of Def Jam Rapster for $13. I don't know if this worth price. Anyone?
I bought it and it's fun to mess around with. Has some good tracks like Brass Monkey, Momma Said Knock you out & some other cool old school rap songs. I like some of the newer ones as I listen to rap & know the lyrics but I'm just a strange ass white kid in norman trying to get my foot in tha doe.. all joking aside its fun to just be goofy with overall cool tracks and can get some good downloads.
