Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I had a copy of Bayonetta for :360: scan for $0.00 today at the Target in Lemont, IL. When I took it to the register, it said "Not In System". The guy didn't know what to do. He called a woman up and she took it into the office. When she came out, she said, "It's on clearance for $14.98."

Quite the increase. I wasn't expecting them to just give it to me, but I know that they have much lower intervals of clearance than that. I've seen clearanced games for $3.47 there. I would assume that's the last step before $0.00.
 
Been to 3 so far today in Indy... West 38th, Carmel Super, and Nora. Picked up the only GT5 collectors edition for 49.98, Def Jam rapstar PS3 bundle @ Nora for the 12.98 (1 left), and a Wii shovelware Disney Enchanted Princess for my kid for 4.98.

Saw a few Acer monitors @ both Carmel and Nora for 55ish (the 18.5 lcd). Also have seen Halo Legendary holding @ 104xx @ both Carmel and Nora. Saw a ton of jax and dexter or wtf it is for 4.98, same for GT. Saw many of the excitebike bundles for 24. Saw a ton of VanHalen ps3 for 12ish I think and passed.

Now off to the Castleton and Fishers, but don't expect much.
 
Picked up few PSP games today Modnation, Jak & Daxter, Need for Speed Shift, Gran Turismo for $4.98 Each. Army of Two (360) $4.98 last copy, Enchanted Princess (wii) $4.98 Last Copy and Samurai Warriors 3 (wii) $12.98 and True or lies (360) $4.98. Not sure MLB League 2k10 (PSP) is worth $5
 
Wow, castleton finally marked down DJ hero 1 bundle to 12.4x for PS3. Picked the only one. One xbox one for the same price. They were holdin steady @ 44 the last month, including this past Saturday!

Ooops, meant 17. Still picked it.
 
Snagged Modnation Racers and Gran Turismo (both :psp: and $9.98) late last week. Most of the PSP games were gone as of last night. This afternoon all the leftover PSP games are gone. I thought no one liked the PSP. :lol:
SWTFU2 CE :ps3: went down to $39.xx; not sure it'll make it to the next drop.
Picked up a Jack & Daxter: TLF :psp: for $5.
Did see Marvel Super Hero Squad TIG :wii: for I believe $5 this morning.
Halo: Reach Legendary holding at $104.xx here.

When it's out of the system, it's not something to be on a the sales floor anymore. At that point, they just make up a price, and it's not usually a good price. Sometimes you can get them to use a price scanner gun to look up the last lowest clearance price and sell it to you for that price.

ModNation Racers, Jax and Daxter, and Gran Turismo all went down to $5 for the PSP. Snagged up ModNation and J&D, would've gotten GT but already owned it in the past and got bored.

All the DJ Heroes were gone (late last week there was still around 6 PS3 ones) and Reach Legendary was still $104. They did have a few portable 320gb HDD's though and SWFUII went down to $40 on the PS3 but stayed at $55 on 360.

When it's $0.00, that item was actually supposed to be salvage, a.k.a. sent back to the manufacturer. When we scan it into our item search on our PDA, it gives us two prices: "Sell for" and "Price". Salvage will say Sell for: 0.00 and then Price: 14.98.

That price wasn't some arbitrary number that the front end manager came up with... Most of them won't know what Bayonetta's original price was to begin with before it ever clearanced. :)

Best practice when selling those missed salvage items is just to scan it to see what its last clearance price was before it was designated salvage.
 
Another note, I'm not sure if this applies to all Targets, but most should be coming up to their Electronics transition in April. Not everything goes clearance during this time, but stores that are about a month away from this transition will have a large amount of clearance peppered throughout the aisles in addition to what's been crammed onto the clearance endcaps.

Super Street Fighter 4 (PS3) for 14.99. (Been wanting to pick it up again for a while).

Also saw Samurai Warriors 3 (Wii) for 12.49, MySims (PS3) 7.49, Def Jam Rapstar (PS3) 12.49, and Marvel Super Hero Squad (Wii) 4.99.

Might go back and grab Def Jam and Samurai 3 later. (They had like 5+ of each o_O).

It really depends on the price it originated at. At 75% is generally the lowest point. So if your item is down to 75% at 4.98 then the original price was probably at 19.99, while a 59.99 item will go to 14.98 before dropping off. 3.47 however, sounds like an online item return since it doesnt end in an 8 and follow the same pattern of 30%/50%/75%, which is separate from clearances, but they sometimes throw it in that area anyway. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

This happen to me also. I found a copy of Bayonetta which had a red clearance sticker for $34.XX. I was curious to see how much it really costs, took it to the self scanner and it rang up $0.00. The cashier said he couldn't sell it to me, but will sell it to me for $34.XX lol.

I'm assuming this game was hidden by someone, waiting for another price drop, and totally forgot all about it. 3-4 months later, the employees found it while during inventory or whatever and just threw it in the clearance section.
 
Just the other day my store still had a Bayonetta on "clearance" priced at $51...huh gotta wonder if this was the same thing here too.
 
I think the original price that was clearanced was 59.99. So at 75%(which is generally the lowest non seasonal items go) it would be 15 bucks. If you see a game marked at 3.74 it was probably clearanced with a starting price of 14.99.

Yes, but as with all clearance items they are YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Still had 3-4 copies of each left...FYI I won't be back in that area this week.
 
I also saw all those hard drives for the same price. Today I picked up Spiderman Shattered Dimensions Wii 207-26-0638 for $19.98 and TMNT Smash-up Wii 207-26-0418 for $10.48 in Houston.

The person who took the game into the office most likely scanned it with the handheld. People have to understand that usually 75% off of msrp is the best you're going to find. Anything more than that is an exception and not the rule.

Got today DC Universe Online for PS3 for $14.98. There was also the Star Wars The Force Unleashed II Collector's Edition for both PS3 and X-box 360 for $55.99.

Lucky - all 5 targets I visit haven't had that for at least a month. Been looking to no avail.
 
I didn't find GOW on clearance, still $20. But instead, there are a couple copies of Guitar Hero VH, and Little League World Series for $10.

Thrilleville and Cars PSP- $3.74

Saw Jack and Daxter PSP for $4.98, Samurai Warriors 3 for Wii $12.48.

DJ Rapstar was there but still $24.99. One copy of SWFU2 still holding on to $55 after over a month!

Also took a [207-24-0467] :ps3: DC Universe Online $14.98, that's 75% off and I don't think I'll find it anywhere else cheaper. Even though it has online fees and you can't sell it used.

GOW Collection at $7.48 is an amazing price, wow. And Dante's Inferno is worth $5, just don't play it at anytime you recently played GOW3, the platforming in Inferno sucks bad, and blatant copying is rampart. But it's a mildly fun play through if you like gore.

Glad my Target(s) finally have some games on clearance again, was a dry 3 months

Odd that one, there were a bunch of them supposedly returned from the website and two, the markdown starting price was the last store clearance price for the game ($4.98).
