Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Wow I can't believe they let you do the return / rebuy. I can see letting you return it but I wouldn't put it back on the shelf for you. It's clearance after all not a sale.

I got my copy of Rapstar for $12 on Friday, that Monday (night) it was $24. I know they weren't marked incorrectly because I scanned them.

This store is obviously marking items down during the week, I just don't go often enough to figure out exactly what day it is.

That's what happened to me with COD:BO PE... I had staked it out at 3 local stores... and then BOOM! They marked them all down on a fucking Friday... I wanted that car soooo bad... Oh well.

I actually walked in while the clearance team was doing markdowns this AM, so it must just be certain stuff that hits on Fridays for me.

...And Halo Reach LE was still 104.98 today. WTF are they doing with that?!?

Damn it, that's not the news I wanted to hear, lol. Hopefully if you walked in on them they just hadn't gotten to it yet. It's been 104 for a few weeks now and that's AFTER it had already been lower. I can't see anybody with even a shred of gaming knowledge buying one of these for that price. Shoot, they're on sale now (non-clearance) at Best Buy for $90...

If they don't drop this week I may just pick up the LE instead of the Legendary at BB for $45 (ship to store). Been wanting to go back and beat it on legendary difficulty and play some more MP...may as well get at least the LE.

Did you see anything new at your store? Hoping Just Cause 2 or Transformers hit clearance on the 360 since they already are on the PS3...or maybe SFU II SE drops for 360. Either that or hoping for some more PSP games.

Sad thing is I wouldn't even buy it for $75 nor do I think would most people on here. It's going to have to hit $50 for me to seriously consider it (I'd probably pick it up at that). I'm tempted today to see if I can ask a manager about it, never hurts to ask...

Not as bad as my Wal Mart though (well my closest one), they still have a Legendary Halo 3 for $110 or so and a Reach for $129...
 
I believe GS currently has the Halo Reach Leg. set for $60 if you can find one near you, are in dire need of it and are tired of waiting for Target's oddly slow clearance drop.
 
Went to Target today and found Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition for $12.48 and Star Wars Force Unleashed for 360 for $19.99, they also had one for ps3 for $39.99.

I ended up picking up Dragon Age Origins and Star Wars Force Unleashed for 360.

No price drops at all and no new games except for TONS of Wii shovelware.

Halo Legendary, Halo LE, SFUII for 360 all held and Just Cause 2 or Transformers still aren't on clearance for 360. Sigh...either they're really slow this week or it's a total bust.
 
I found Def Jam Rapstar for $12. They had one PS2, still in the case with the PS3s, so I had them scan it and it was down to $70, so I bought it.
 
Found Trauma Team for $5.06.

Fortunately, I haven't opened the copy that I bought for $9.98 several weeks ago yet. Hopefully I can still find the receipt from it.

haha, good luck with that. I've always started making sure I pay with a debit card at Target and Home Depot b/c they can easily pull up all your transactions by swiping the card. Probably got 3 games adjusted that way at Target b/c I never hang onto the receipt or have it stuffed in the game case at home.

Yeah, I paid with my debit card, so in worst case scenario that will work. It'll likely be less hassle, though, if I can hand them the receipt. Pretty sure I have it, just a matter of figuring out where.

Same thing happened to me when I checked last week, DAO:CE was $35.xx and SW was $55.98, to say the least at least I'm pleased. I went to another Target and they still have Excite truck for over $20 for both the bundle and just the game.
 
Halo Reach finally dropped to $75. I did buy:

Black & Decker Power Scissors $4.98 (75% off)

and...

Lucky Charms Treats! ($2.50) Sadly they were not quite as good as they looked.

Bought those same scissors a few years back. Totally pointless IMO. Sold them for $10 at a garage sale though.
 
So both Reach Legendary AND SFU II dropped at other Targets??? Grrrr.... WTF, maybe I was just there too early today. Now I'll have to second guess myself if I should head back over tomorrow.

I pick them up at Garage sales for $5-$15 bucks all the time. I think I have 3 or 4 fats and a couple of slims.

I was about to say this is a YMMV, cause I never saw a single one around here, but this would explain it if they picked up a bulk buy and flipped the other ones to full price. One of my Targets has like 20 copies back in the main game area for $14.99 regular price.
 
The nearby Target has these "value games" end caps at the registers too, along with a ton of Ghostbusters DPCI'd at $14.99. They aren't on clearance there, but are considered a "Value" game.
 
Snagged Def Jam for $12.98 today, was happy with that purchase. One store only had one left, another had like 5. Other than that just saw that weird Truth or Lies game for $4.98 and SpongeBob Squarepants truth or square for $9.98 (Both Xbox, and I'm sure not new drops hence the lack of red)

Saw the CE of Force Unleashed II finally down to $20, but I just rented the game from Gamefly and it isn't even worth $20 its so damn short.
 
Some new games on clearance today, but didn't see much worthwhile.

I considered getting Worms Battle Islands for Wii which was $20.98 since they only had one, but ended up not getting it. Hopefully no one buys it and it drops to a better price.

The smaller Acer monitors went down to around $60 as someone already posted. I'm not really interested in anything with low resolution only D-sub/VGA input. Also noticed a couple AOC 2036s 20" monitors on clearance just under $100 which isn't a great price and still only has VGA input. At least the resolution is a bit better.

Picked up DA:Origins Ultimate for $12.98 for PS3, had one left. Also had a Def Jam Rapstar for 360 for $12.48. And Reach Legendary for $74.88. DAO was still $24.98 on 360.
 
I picked up Def Jam Rap Star (360) and Transformers War For Cybertron (PS3).
I'd rather have the 360 version though of Transformers if anyone finds that but would rather have the PS3 version.
 
Actually got around to Target today as I was birthday shopping for my FIL and stumbled upon DefJam Rapstar for PS3. Snagged the last copy for $12.48. Yeah me!
