Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Target in the Glendale Galleria had a treasure trove when I went there today. Sly for 14.98 (at least 10 copies), vanquish 14.98 ( about 5, I bought one), resistance 2 9.98, SSF4 14.98, Mag 14.98, BFBC2 19.98, and alot of DS and 360 games also. I don't k ow if it's worth the drive for you but it was a good selection.

If your local Target has Sly still in the game prison, I suggest you try to type it's DPCI into the price checker.. If it fails to come up with anything, for example, it will say not found. If that happens there is a good chance it's been lowered and the employees haven't labeled them.They looked at me like I was crazy last night after I asked to price check something that had a price RIGHT there. Sure enough, it rang up as $15. They were impressed to say the least

i picked up sly collection for $20.98. there were only two copies left and i know how my area is so they weren't going to be around very long. went to another target and they had one copy of sly and a couple copies of vanquish for $20 but i didn't bite. i will check back next week and see if there are any changes. if vanquish drops to $15 i will prob pick it up.
 
Sly and Vanquish down to 15 here too. I'm hoping they're still there when I get paid. My store seems to have moved stuff that will eventually be put on clearance to a shelf at the other end of the electronics section, so I can get some sort of a preview. I'm hoping they add Kingdom Hearts 358/2 to the clearance list soon, since it's piled there but not stickered and moved yet.

They should still be listed as in stock and located in the backroom. They just don't have a designated place on the sales floor. If they are showing quantities in stock but not located...you're screwed. Unless a smart electronics specialist is on the lookout it won't be found.

I've just found the regular edition, for both PS3 and 360 (although they were in separate stores).
 
After striking out at two local targets with no clearance at all did well today.

Saw much of what people have been reporting.

Saw two Marvel/Capcom PS3 special editions f/ $34.xx. Also saw four BFBC2 (vanilla as reported) for $19.XX. Hoping for drops on both of these but don't plan on them being there after the holiday weekend.

Picked up the last XB360 Vanquish f/ $14.xx. One PS3 version left. A few other things were there as well but nothing extraordinarily low.

I didn't buy a damn thing, but I must say I was tempted by several of these deals.

Also, interesting find. They were all out of :ps3: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, so there was a rain check where you could get :ps3: Battlefield Bad Company 2: Ultimate Edition for $23.99 instead. I so would have jumped on that had it been for 360.

Another interesting find which I'm sure is listed in the ad is Kirby's Epic Yarn on sale for $19.99.
 
Grabbed a Sly collection at Clear lake shores target for 14.xx today. They had one more. they also had
MAG - $14.98 (One left)
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Monopoly Streets - $14.98
and a bunch of Wii Shovelware

they had a few other games but i didnt have time.

But either way that's ridiculous.

If anyone's looking for MUA 2 for $15 new, Walmart has a buy 2 360 games for $30 deal still going on, which is funny because they sell MUA 2 alone for $30. (Please do not fraud Walmart because of this information.)

The store I called was out of stock, but found 2 stores that have it. Supposedly at $69.9x. LOL! I might go check for myself. I'll look at YouTube and see if I REALLY want it, now that I have SSFIV. Even if it's the $34.xx price.

Hmmm... I wonder if there will be DLC if a new one comes out....

For $35? Pick this up, it even comes with $10 worth of DLC and the extra stuff is nice (Steelbook/Free Month of Digital Comics/Comic Book). Nobody's officially confirmed (aside from maybeee Lupinko) that there's a Super/Hyper edition coming out, so. Despite Capcom seeming not to have a lot of faith in this game, it's pretty good, most of the complaints are that it feels like there should be more, like a spectator mode, series favourites as characters, and an ACTUAL story mode (which lends itself to the theory of a Super/Hyper in the near future). Expectations were definitely high on this though, that's for sure.

Edit: I did pick this up for $70 thinking it was a great deal because the series is very close to my heart and somewhat regret it now, despite ending up only paying in giftcards, but that's partially because I bought it from Target and now there's this new price that taunts me. I'm sure for $35 though, I'd consider it my deal of the year. If you see Amazon's price, you can see why I'm surprised Target even has it on Clearance, I don't think anyone's gonna sell it for any less than this.
 
I went to target in the Highland, Indiana area and went to go pick up NBA 2k11 for 360, this thread said 9.99, but the store is still ringing up regular price. The guy scanned the code near the game and it was still 39.99. Do I need to grab the DCPI # and take it to the store?

No, don't waste your time. It means that Highland Target hasn't put NBA 2k11 on clearance yet so you'll have to wait or try a different Target. It does help to bring the DCPI numbers with you though so they can do price checks specific for that store. Good luck.

the price isn't guaranteed to be 9.99 at all locations
