Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

The Target I regularly go to has really embraced the 70% markdown instead of the traditional 75% off.

Picked up a 360 Vanquish and Mag yesterday at $8.98 each.

Grabbed a PS3 copy of Wolverine for $9.98 at the Target on Coleman in SJ. This is down from the $20 it was last week and there was one copy left in anyone is in the area.

Alas, the Bayonetta that had been sitting at $40 is now gone...I don't know if someone bit the bullet or it suddenly got a drop, but after all those months, Im almost gonna miss it...

On a side note, somebody decided to post a bunch of Target clearance shit on Slickdeals. Thanks a lot, SLICKDICKS. Fellow CAGers, grab your clearance goodies now while they are still available and remember, NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES POST CLEARANCE DEALS ON SLICKDEALS. That rule should be as sacred as the "never call" rule.
 
W. Lafayette, IN Target. As I was walking toward clearance rack, one of the employees had like 6~7 games in his hands and told me that they just found these stashed, behind the footballs.
I picked up The Sly Collection ( $7.48), SSF4 ($7.48), Monopoly Streets($9.98) and Split/Second($7.48) all for the PS3. There are 3 Wolverine Uncaged Edition for the PS3 at $9.98 which I didn't buy.

Also, there was a single Move Controller(Not the bundle) at 24.96 or so that had Repackaged written on it. I didn't pick it up because I didn't know what that meant. Does anyone know what Repackaged at Target means?

It was probably a return or somebody opened it in the store, something along those lines.

Call around to your local Targets and speak to the customer service reps, ONLY. Give them the DPCI and they can tell you if they have it and the price. They can check the system in front of them without the need for Electronics.

Dang, I, just, checked YouTube and it looks like all the rest. Vanquish would have been a better choice, but those seem to be in the wind. This BFBC2 is, more than likely, going back.

Yeah, they started doing that recently. Until last year, no one would care what games you were buying (not if you looked old enough, at least - I'm 25). But now, EVERY TIME I buy an "M" rated game at Target, they ID me, no matter what. And because I'm from Brazil and don't have a U.S. ID, they have to call a manager EVERY SINGLE TIME to "approve" my birth date. Quite ridiculous.

They've only done that to me once at Best Buy and once at Gamestop. But usually when the warning asking if I was born after some specific date pops up on their monitors, they just enter "yes" and that's that.

Best Buy has that warning for movies, too, btw. And Bad Company for that price is a really good deal, I wouldn't regret it (even though I still want Vanquish :p).
 
Went back to the target in the Wilkes Barre PA store. Looking for the damn Ocarina of Time guide because Amazon is still waiting to get their shipment in, or that cheap external drive for my parents (because my parents have NO backups of anything they have on their PC besides music).

So of course none of that, but I did find the special clearance area and boy we got some winners here. I don't remember the prices.

:ds:- MySims Agents (There was literally 20 copies on clearance)
:wii:-Disney's Sing It (Don't remember the full name)
:360:- NCAA Football (Either 10 or 11).

And the winner of the lot.
:wii:- Grease (forgot the whole title)

Other than that there was an iPhone 3GS case, and other random crap I could care less about.

All in all this store sucks, don't bother :lol:

Do you know what brand the 3GS case was? I need a new case for my phone, and if it's a decent brand, I may have to stop by my target today/tommorow to see if I get lucky :).

I've been to dozens of Targets here in Colorado and every single one scans for ID. There's probably an issue because your ID won't scan.

Don't know the brand off hand, never heard of it either which is why I don't remember it. It looked like an iPhone case, but it didn't look too good quality wise.

Gee, how thoughtful. After shipping and tax, that lucky helpful individual may actually LOSE money helping you out (even if the titles are down to 7.xx at their store). I get that we're a "community", but people need to be realistic here...
 
I picked up at Hazel Dell WA Target
Split Second for :ps3: for $7.48. Had several X men Wolverines for $9.98 as well. All locked up and not seperate in the clearance endcap.

Some teach yourself geography game for the :ds: for $4.98 but nothing else.

Actually, those are some decent prices. Some I'd say, are rather cheap when you factor in website fees, payment processing fees, gas, etc.

My clearance section is wiped out. About 4 iPhone cases, 6 copies of Madden '10, and 3 copies of Green Day: Rock Band and that's it.

McThatch - You should look into amazon fulfillment if you have enough items. I would buy at those prices just to save myself the hassle of driving if I could get the shipping free with my prime. Even $2 more I would buy if they were fulfilled by amazon... i just hate dealing with sellers.

I think you have to be a pro store subscriber for amazon fulfillment ($40 a month I believe).

I actually am a pro store subscriber but I haven't seen too much benefit in doing amazon fulfillment.

To the above poster, why the issue with sellers on Amazon? Amazon has a 100% buyer favorable policy that supports the buyer in pretty much any situation.

Lastly, while I am a seller I'd be more than happy to share the Target love with any Denver metro area people, but I've never seen anyone mention being from that area on this board. If you are a Denver person, pm me and I'll keep you in the know.
