Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I bought "X-men First Class, Vol 1: Tomorrows Brightest" from an Amazon seller--it was listed as a shrink wrapped hard cover, so I thought I was buying a hard cover. The seller sent me the trade paperback. I was a little pissed. I filed a grievance with Amazon and I got a full refund including postage, and got to keep the book. I still wanted the hardcover, but I was very happy with how it played out.
 
I just had an incident where the buyer said he never received the item even though USPS says delivered. I guess I'm screwed huh? fucking douchebags make selling stuff so much harder.
 
lol thats funny you should say that, i just had a buncha stuff come from newegg and the tracking all said delivered even though there was nothing in my mail box. I was worried cuz there's no way my claim woulda been honored cuz its like my word against usps. Luckily my leasing office had the games phew..man i had like 10 games i ordered woulda lost like almost 200 bucks :S.. but i did get a slip in my mailbox the day after saying that my items were tehre so maybe the mail man will put it in their mail box the day after which is wierd..but possible.
 
btw if u sold through paypal , you aren't "screwed" as long as it says delivered and the item is worth less than 250 so it doesn't require signature confirmation. Then you won't lose the case, if u sold it on ebay though you'll prob keep the money but get a negative feedback even though its not really yoru fault..

While partly true, some cases are YMMV, and at the stupid discretion of Amazon or paypal/ebay (depending on where you sold it).

It does suck....I had a buyer return a mouse and he dropped it on his way to the post office and all I can do is charge a 15% restocking fee.

I hit a local target today which had nearly no clearance. Only around 7 games, one of which was MAG for $7.xx. 1TB drive was still list price.

I'm going to hit two more tomorrow which I know always have good clearance sections while running a few errands. Hoping to see that HDD deal.
 
All of the 1TB hard drives I've seen in stores near me have been list price.

Does anyone have the DCPIs for NCAA Football 10, NCAA Basketball 10 or NBA 2k10 on Xbox? I haven't seen them anywhere in the thread or the OP.

What's with the sudden influx of NBA 2k10 on clearance, anyway? Did they decide to just randomly clear out some inventory in the system?
 
I'm playing that My Sims: Sky Heroes game. Well, all out of bounds and stuff, lol. This thing is like being on a roller coaster. Damn! No wonder it has a medical warning like some of the other games!

I should have been more clear. Like I said, I'm from Brazil, and my foreign IDs won't work with their system, so they have to call a manager to approve the birth date that is showing in either my international driver's license or passport. It's a hassle, and, again it only happens at Target, but what can I do? At least it makes me feel young. :lol:

I had the same incident where USPS priority with delivery confirmation showed delivered and the guy said he didn't get it. He even agreed to go to the police department to file a report saying missing item. I just refunded him and ate the cost ($65) but it still blows b/c the package was insured but not signed for, so now for amazon stuff I have to get signature confirmation which is another $2.

Wouldn't say 100%. I had an A-Z against me which I won(buyer said item didn't work, but really they only had to stick the disc in console once to get what they need out of it and were trying to scam me), along with 2 chargebacks from a buyer which I also won.

Hey! Nearest one (and, consequently, the one I usually go to) is the Glendale store, by Colorado Blvd and Virginia Ave. It never has anything good on clearance, unfortunately. Sometimes, when I'm in the neighborhood, I check out the Highlands Ranch one, which looks a little nicer. Any other suggestions? I don't mind driving if I can find good deals. And thanks, btw. :D

The Colorado Blvd one sucks, like you said. I-25 and Arapahoe is good, as well as the one on Parker Road and Arapahoe. I used to live up north, and the Northfield Stapleton one was pretty good. I-25 and Castle Rock occasionally has some good stuff.

Otherwise, some of the best stuff is way over on the west side of town, think like Lakewood and Arvada. Unfortunately I don't live over there any more. I'm way south.
 
Going to target today and hoping i find a copy of mag for $7.xx like i did last time. It has been 2 weeks since it hit that price cycle so i will be lucky if i find it.
 
Don't they ever pick the phone in the electronics department, this particular Target 5 minutes doesn't seem to lol. It saves the disappointment of going to the store, stores prices are not the same as people here claim to be. sucks!
 
hey guys where do you find the other clearance stuff..like the 1TB harddrive?? At my target all they got is a end cap with couple of cleareance games..and that is..maybe some music cds..but never have found other electronics!!

The quickest way to ensure you DON'T get the item you're looking for is to call Electronics and have them look up the price on that insanely priced thing in small quantity and ask them, "Hey, do you have any? How much?"

Because you're going to run across that guy who says, "You know," and he'll have it in his hand, that copy of Vanquish or Sly Cooper for $7.50 or a $80 hard drive for $18, and he'll tell you, "You know, dude, I just sold the last ten." And he'll gather them up and go hide them in the back to wait for the end of the day when he can buy them and then put them on ebay for a lot more.

And he'll secretly be glad you called and told him about that great deal. I think you'd be better served checking for yourself, convenience or inconvenience.

No one picked up the phone, I just came back from Target and there were plenty of BFBC2's and MAG's two weeks ago, I mean plenty. Now they are gone, likely to hoarders trying to make $10 off of BFBC2. I did see EA family night 3 or something for $10, worthless.

Nah, I think someone just checked these forums or Slickdeals and drove out to this Target. The google reviews for this particular also state they don't pick up the phone in the electronics department.
 
Evansville IN both Target have Legend of the Guardians for 9.98 for xbox 360. That was all I seen that the eastside the north side store had a bunch of DS games like plants vs zombies for 9.98. They had Monster Hunter Tri for wii for 14.98 and Truth or Lies for 2.48 for PS3.
I didn't care to get any of that but those are the ones that I remember.

Btw, I picked up the last copy of Sly at one of my local Target's. They had none after they first showed a few weeks ago for $14.98, then I go to one yesterday and it seems they found another Sly and priced it at $7.48. Couldn't say no to that.

Pleasantly surprised. Too bad all the hoarders bought every copy of Vanquish for miles and at that $14.98 price. Hopefully the recent price drop to $19.99 will limit their ability to move their copies for any profit and force them to return them to the Target's so that a few copies can go down to the much more reasonable $7.50 they should have originally waited for.

Of course it was the hoarders and not people who genuinely wanted it.

Seriously, does everyone here blame not finding a game on hoarders?

Every time I check my Target they are cleaned out of everything on clearance. I have one of those Targets with the parking lot filled front to back all hours of every day.
