Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Saw a new game. :ps3: Create $19.98. Gonna pass on this for the duration of its' clearance run.
Best Buy has it for $9.99 this week.
I found it on an endcap between the bbq/patio furniture section and the auto stuff. Signs said 30% off and they were marked $90.xx but, of course, I did a price scan.

I also grabbed two 12 packs of detergent made specifically for the washer. One 12 pack was for autos and the other was for patios. They were $2.xx each.
Sweet. I bought mine when it was $6x.xx and it was a good deal at that price. Wonder if I can return/rebuy on a clearance item?

Possibly a YMMV, but I saw the Panasonic Avatar 3D kit for $84.xx. DPCI: 008-00-1479 . I say possibly YMMV because the one I found was a beat up box and many stores around me show it in stock. I think they wanted to get rid of just that one because of the packaging, although I guess that wouldn't make sense with how Target clearances work? I forgot how much this goes for on eBay, so I didn't pick it up nor could I find it the next day. D'oh!

Also saw a Wireless Fender Mustang Rock Band 3 guitar for the Wii for $104.xx. I'd post a DPCI, but the tag was ripped and was unreadable. Didn't know Target actually carried these, so good luck finding them. Would be nice if there was an Xbox version to grab.
no new clearance, but I did get a coupon for $10 off Infamous 2 that's good through September when I checked out. Better than nothing!
That's cool, did you buy any games/electronics that may have triggered that coupon?
That's cool, did you buy any games/electronics that may have triggered that coupon?
I got the same coupon and all I did was buy a pop at the check lanes while on break. It also printed a coupon for $2 off hair color for women and I am very much a man.
Has the psp go dropped to 99 yet?
The PSP GO just dropped to $139.98 today at my local store. At this rate it will be about September before it hits that price point.

I'm assuming I'll miss the boat by waiting for 99, but I just don't feel like 140 is the right price.

I would never play it so I would pass even at that price.

If it was me and I was you and I was thinking of putting $100 on a PSP Go, I'd probably just wait a little bit longer and put that $100 toward a PSVita preorder instead. Anything the PSPGo can play is on the digital store, which should be available for the PSVita in due course, one would think.

No clearance games around me:cry:

At least I found some hammocks on clearance. The sumo-sized ones were 17.48 and the regular-size ones were 7.48

Picked up two; one for me and another as a gift.

Except that, obviously, if someone is looking at a Go, they probably don't want to drop $250 on a Vita. I'll pick one up if it hits 99, but not before. I figure I already have 4 games for it from the Welcome back program...

Except that it seems to be on the 15/30/50 schedule for drops, which means salvage after the 99 dollar price point. I'd be happy at 99.

Do you have the DPCI for the hammocks. Been looking for one. Thanks
I got the same coupon and all I did was buy a pop at the check lanes while on break. It also printed a coupon for $2 off hair color for women and I am very much a man.

are you Tom Brady? He is technically a man, but has lady hair.

Even if I have lady hair it doesn't mean I color it. Maybe YMMV but maybe I can get $2 off Just for Men instead.

Thanks bud. I picked up the last one at the only Target that showed any in my area. I love CAG :)

I'ld take a hammock. My Target had exactly one DS game - Royal Princess Pony Resort - or some such nonsense. They still have 4 PSP 3000s they got a few weeks ago after having none for a few weeks, no bundles, have NEVER seen a Go there. Course my Copiague store is like the Family Dollar of Targets. I almost bought a PSP $159 bundle at GS yesterday but I was at the wrong GS, wrong town over.

Since there has been a lack of game clearance, maybe you guys will find deals in toys tomorrow. Those damn kung zhus need to be cleaned out at 1.25

I stopped by the target in Allen Park, MI and they had a lot of games on clearance. My brother picked up the mafia 2 platinum hits edition for $20. I saw, but didn't price check, 6 halo reach controllers, 1 ds lite guitar hero bundle, a bunch of ds games, 1 blur for 360 and ps3, 2 singularitys for ps3, and some other games not worth mentioning.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago when they were remodeling:
forgottenpsx.jpg

It was so dusty/dirty. It was priced at $1.56 as is.

whaaaaaaaat

Wow, that's weird to see a PS1 game, I'd expect that at Walmart who until a few years ago was selling old PS1 sports games for just under $20.

The ultimate hide/stash. Screw hiding it in women's underwear. Screw taping it under a counter. You've got to hide the games inside the base of some kind of shelving structure that may not be moved for 10 or 15 years.

Oh god... please don't start that again x.x... that was a boring few days with all the jokes.

Actually when I worked at walmart in college, we regularly checked shelving for hidden or opened items. It is where thieves would stash packages for things they stole.

True story. About 1 1/2 years ago i came into target looking to buy a luggage, didn't bother looking inside, took it to the register, paid it, and as I exit the store, the alarm rang. I was like "WTF". I then look at the cashier and she said "Just go" so I did. The next day, I started to pack my stuffs and found a Iron Man 2 Steel Book Bluray stashed in it. I was like "Oh shit, but I told myself i would return it" but when I got back from my trip, my freak'n roommate opened that shit, lol.

Stopped by the target in Taylor, MI and left very dissappointed. There was no clearance section at all!!! I looked around for a good 10 minutes and gave up. The only good thing was that they had a price scanner near the video game section. For all those who live in the downriver area I suggest you to go to the target on the hill in Allen Park, they usually add new stuff to the clearnce area every Friday.

Yeah the one on the hill isnt bad. That's where I got my COD:BO Prestige for $37.xx The Target in Taylor doesn't have a clearance game endcap, but the do label clearance games in the glass prisons.

Wow, I honestly think they've taken out the electronics clearance section at 2 of my local Targets A third one closest to me is very bare, but at least it exists.
Eh just did a quick store check online before heading to Target in NYC today. Looks like there is nothing.
Which one in ny ? I'm going to the one on east 117'th street within this week so I hope its not that one

Living in Central Florida - I've got about 5 Targets I visit regularly(between two homes and work) and every single ones Electronics clearance has disappeared.
