Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I dont know if people are actually helping others who want a pspgo, but ill throw myself in the basket. Please message me if you wanna work out a deal. There arent any pspgos around here and id love to have one.
 
Ok got back from one of the targets tonight, they have 5 PSPgo, all marked at $139. Checked with the price checker..... show it not in system/ item not found.....
asked the guy scan it, twice.. both time show up not in system or blank...... he then just told it is $139.
So pretty much they are out of the system, but still in the display. How can i get them to sell it to me for $69???? Any help??? thanks

You'd have to have them look up the last price in the system that they were sold at. However, that's not a 100% guarantee they'll sell you one at that price. Once something reaches OOS status it's usually their marker to junk out the items(in some cases they're sent to Goodwill stores in the area).
 
Independence and Blue Springs Missouri locations are absolutely cleared out, other than some total junk sports titles and Disney DS games. The Blue Springs location used to have a pretty solid collection of drops every Monday. I've picked up some of the better bargains over the last 18 months, there. But for the last 3 months or so, nothing is ever there at a decent price. I think there's an overly eager El Hoardo picking up the games before they hit their final or "good" discount. Kinda disappointing.

If you're after a PSP GO the Belton, MO Target had 2 more left up there earlier today at $70. Unfortunately my source up there tells me El Hordo took everything else worthwhile; shame really.

Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it!! That said, while I'd *LOVE* a white PSP Go, I have really zero use for one. I have a PSP3000 and a 3DS; and with the Vita right around the corner, I just can't justify a Go. I'm more after the cheap games. I'd love a $5 Darksiders or a $7 Borderlands GOTY.

I grabbed the last $5 Darksiders, sorry bout that :< and there were tons of Borderlands copies, but El Hordo go ALL of them T_T And the PSP GOs are black, not white :X

The seal on the box was broken. I open it up and everything looks fine. I looked at the System Nickname and it comes up as 'Jordan'. Not only that, but the seal on the MediaGo disc is broken as well.
 
Picked up HAWX 2 (PS3) and Darksiders (PS3) for $4.98 each. I'd be willing to trade both for a copy of Borderlands GOTY (PS3). No stores have a copy in stock around here. No luck w/ a PSP Go either...
 
went to the target on Michigan ave in Canton and they didn't have anymore psps. I did manage to pick up a few borderlands goty so the trip wasn't for nothing. Let me know if anyone needs the dcpi.

Went to another location today. Only notable find was Pictionary DS for 7.48

Did pick up a digital TV tuner for 13.xx. Figure it'll come in handy for an old projection tv that I have
 
Really want a PSPGo at that price. My Target never comes through with any of these clearance finds.

You have pretty much three choices at this point. Either take it back and bring it to the attention of a manager that there's an account already listed on the system, meaning that it was likely returned prior.

OR

Dickish move: Do like "Jordan" apparently did and use it like crazy till it's close to the end of the return period, then dump it back on Target and look for a truly new/sealed one.

OR

Just use it, register it with Sony(and hope "Jordan" didn't do so already or you'll be SOL as far as warranty goes) and keep and enjoy it for as long as you like.

Some people like to 'rent' shit from retail stores for a bit till after a big event is done(namely prom dresses for prom season and/or big screen tv's for Super Bowl Sunday) and then return them once they're done with their 'rental'. This is why Gamestop's 7 day no questions asked return policy is shocking, since I've known people who abused that like crazy.

Moreover, this is probably why Best Buy has instituted a limit on returns per calendar year. If you reach a limit they've set down, then they refuse any further returns from you for that year.
 
Went to a Target today with 5 PSPGo's with clearance stickers on them. Asked to get a price check and the kid scans it in with his gun. It comes up as $0.00 and said that they all had to go to salvage and could not sell them to me. What a tough break!!

I had him get on the walkie talkie to his manager to see if he could sell them to me, but the manager went on about liability... blah blah blah. I didn't want to go any further than that. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow and see if they're magically on the shelf again. :roll:

I struck out trying to find a PSPGo, but I did get some clearance stuff at the toy department, so the trip wasn't a total waste.

a quick note re: ps+ auto-update. To correct some semi-misinformation, the PS3 doesn't actually fully turn on to do this. It doesn't beep, light up, etc... it does activate and do the downloads, but it's not actually 'on' in the traditional sense.

i was going to correct your use of MO but it looks like other already did.

MO = modus operandi -- mode of operation -- that is, how someone operates. His MO is buying everything (assuming he does so regularly, thus his method of operation), his description is 40ish.

I saw some all natural peanut butter (Target brand) and some oatmeal clearanced. The peanut butter was $1.98 and the oatmeal ranged from $1.50-2.xx. I also saw some clearanced frozen food items which I found amusing. I passed on all these

LOL. I remember seeing some single service frozen pie slices and some type of "Smart Ones" type dessert. Next time I'll make a detailed list with DPCIs, haha.
