Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
123-45-6789

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Gotta get there before El Hoardo strikes.

all the triton 180s have dissappeared at my target. but I noticed that the Triton 780s had been removed and discontinued, so those might be heading towards a clearance endcap near you soon.

Don't think I've seen 720s in a Target before. Kind of want a headset since I play late at night and don't want to bother my girlfriend.

720 or 780?

Unless I'm missing something, there's only 180s and 720s. Never heard of 780s.

Which is the better headset, the 180s or 720s?

Saw some associates taking inventory near close tonight, possible clearance items? Only items of note I saw were m 310 bluetooth mice for about $18. Will have to check back tomorrow, hopefully some actual games will make it to the shelves.

Crack open those packs, put them up individually on eBay as 'teh rarez' n you're bound to make a TON of profit.;)
Kidding.
Although stranger stuff has sold and been profitable. Amirite?

 Some stashers are going to be very mad that their special hiding place will no longer be available to them

Saw 2 Trittons at one store - they were still 41.xx. That store is slow on clearance changes, though. Saw the Duracell Xbox chargers go down to $19.99. I'm still on the fence about them. I have a MS quick charger, so I don't know that having a stand up charger is that big of a necessity... Will probably just wait to pick it up at 75% off if I can find one...
Don't think I've seen 720s in a Target before. Kind of want a headset since I play late at night and don't want to bother my girlfriend.

720 or 780?

Unless I'm missing something, there's only 180s and 720s. Never heard of 780s.
It was probably the 720s then. They're price was 129.99 I want to say. but as I said, they've disappeared and become discontinued.

Got some Trittons at 29.xx... but I'm going to return them. There is a constant buzzing noise when plugged in to power, even if no sound is coming through. Not worth it for me.

Almost all headsets do that. You don't even notice it if you're actually playing games.

Not sure why you keep the headset on when nothing is coming through though. I usually just fold them down on my chest.

Lol Ill come clean that was favorite hiding spot for years. VHS tapes would never move. Product would stay there safely for months.

i use the headphones for sound through vent, so when no one is talking all i hear is this buzz.... i just wanted a nice set of headphones with a mic.. but the buzzing is VERY annoying :(

No games at my Target for a year or so now. I should say that I did manage to score a Sins of a Solar Empire on PC for $4.00. Nothing else though...

The best hiding space is to drop games inside the binders in the stationary department. I only did it once, and would not do it again, but it works perfectly and whatever you drop into the binders will likely sit there for months.

Geez, the Tritton is still $41 at all my local stores. Still no games either (Dead Rising 2 is still at MSRP). I did find a 5.1 mega pixel Vivitar DVR 560 video recorder for $12.48 (056 05 0163), that will be going to my neice. Also there were lots of automotive waxes, cleaners and protectant at 50%.

If the 720's go on clearance I highly recommend them, I recently got some from BB and they're pretty nice. No buzzing, sound is nice, decent base, and fair (but not perfect) directional sound. Plus they're really comfy...

I've heard bad stuff about the 180's, both that they break easily and there is buzzing.
Not great deals, but saw today:

:ps3: Soul Calibur IV (GH) $9.98
:ps3: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga $9.98

Sorry, didn't get DPCI.
I knew i should've scanned the Soul Calibur. =/ All good.

You know how it is though... YMMV. There is a deal - 25% off clearance games - at TRU this week till 10/16 and B2G1 usually hits during Oct. If you have a Toys R Us near you, it may be a better deal if/when it stacks with the inevitable B2G1. There's a pretty good chance those deal dates will overlap. I picked it up more than a year ago at Toys R Us for under $10 with stacking deals. Good huntin'.

Uh, those are great deals.

I bought SC4 about 2 years ago for 6.99 at Sears because of a Best Buy ad that was 9.99 with a PM. I still haven't opened it.

Sorry, I guess I am spoiled. :) I haven't been keeping an eye on LSW: TCS, but I definitely know SC IV could be had for about the same price or cheaper.

I've been housesitting for my brother for the past week, which allowed me to visit two Targets that are usually to far away from my house to justify checking each week. One had nothing but junk, but the other had a copy of Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir that rang up out of system. The electronics girl looked it up with her handheld scanner and said it was $4.98. Couldn't pass it up for that price! I've been curious about the game since it came out, and $5 is the perfect price point for me to check it out.

Picross for the DS was taken off clearance, it was $9.98 for a few weeks and I was waiting for $4.98. I saw 2 copies today with the clearance stickers ripped off and took 1 to the scanner, it scanned for $14.99.

No games at my target but I saw a bunch of Epson Printers on clearance for $41.XX. I'm definitely replacing my old printer if it falls down to $25.
Saw a few copies of Rango for 360 for $15.01 marked "repackaged". It looked sealed but 7 bucks is my price for this.
Supposedly rango was a pretty good movie game. Up there with toy story 3

It's MAJOR buzzing... I have a pair of x41's, and the buzzing is very faint. Barely noticeable at all.

The Tritton's were very loud and annoying... couldn't stand it.

The Trittons were still 41.98 this week at the 2 stores I went to. I think I'll pass on these all together, since I'm not even sure 29.98 would be my price. I don't think I'll have a chance to see them hit the 75% level at the slow rate of decline. Especially since it looks like a few have been sold at the 41.98 price(and yes I scanned them, didn't drop).

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but since others in this thread were in on the deal....

Did anyone here get the 3 free games with their PSP Go from last month? On the slip cover it says to allow 7 days to receive the voucher via email and lists a website for details. When I go to the website, it says the games download directly from a DVD. The only DVD in the box was the Media Go disc.

I have already registered my unit. Should I keep waiting or is there something else I need to do? Getting a little nervous because today is the expiration date.

Trittons dropped for me on Friday to $29.xx. Kind of an odd day for it. Here, Thursday is the secondary electronics clearance drop day.
360 transfer cable also dropped to $9.xx here.

Just came back from Target and we had nothing, for the most part, for video games. I decided to check the PS3 section...and I noticed that they had Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 for 19.99 in the cages. I snatched it up and bought it! Has there been a recent price drop that hasn't been posted anywhere? If not, YMMV for sure.
i saw the turtle beach earforce x11 headsets for $41.98 at one of the stores near me. Hoping they will go down a little more...
Was it marked clearance with the red sticker?

Does anyone know if those x11 headphones work on a PC as well? They advertise PS3/360 and don't mention PC but it'd seem as if they'd almost have to (usb or whatever)? Thanks in advance if anyone knows!

Your best bet is to call Sony...they say all you need to do is log into the playstation store on the GO but once I called I had the games within a couple of days.
