Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Found a Bose Companion 3 Series II pc speaker system resurfacing at my local Targets but when I scanned the upc the price came up the regular price $249.99 so I guess it ran the cycle from Regular price to Clearance to Item Not Found back to Regular price.
 
Yeah, those collectors editions are super YMMV. The Target in Irving TX still has Halo Reach LE for full price.

Also, not really relevant but I found a Walmart still selling the Halo Wars LE for $80 :roll:

Mine says games between $9.99-$99.99, but just bought some $5 clearance games that went through. Like above poster said, if you can get them to scan it then it will go through.

Wow, that's crazy that the Irving, TX Target still has Halo Reach L.E. at full price :shock: I was lucky to find one several months ago at the lowest price. But true, finding collector's editions an Target are very YMMV.
 
Any news of Targets in the Orange County, Southern California area? It seems like nothing down here ever goes on clearance :(

Also for what its worth, the Anaheim Wal-mart has Halo: Reach LE for $40.00
 
Some stuff seems to be resurfacing. I stopped by my TGT and found a set of Turtle Beach X11s marked with a clearance sticker of $14.98, but it scanned for $41.99. They gave me the sticker price and said it was my lucky day. (if it really was my lucky day, they would have been a pair of the Triton headsets instead but I may try the X11 to see if they aren't as bad as some reviews have stated).
 
I spotted and picked up the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition for $55.98. I probably should have waited to get this if it dropped in price again, but didn't know when that would happen. Will keep it sealed until I can find a cheaper replacement if I can.
 
yeah ive been eyeing the Gears Limited edition at my Target, its been sitting at 55.xx for a couple of weeks. I did manage to get a copy of Just Cause 2 ps3 for 14.98...that one has been hangng for a couple of weeks so i figure i get it now before someone grabbed it at the next drop whenever thatll be...im hoping that the next rounds drop so i can grab the Gow:LE and i can trade my SE in....patiently waiting..

Really? Grab it and 2 other $60 games. That's gears LE for $42ish
 
my local Target pulled their last copy of Heavy Rain off the shelf (I was considering grabbing it during the B2G1)

I had a guy check for me and he said it's been discontinued and should go out for clearance on Monday (but he could fetch it from the back for me if I wanted to buy it today) however I've decided to wait and try for clearance

U lucky if your target still has it. I checked 3 targets in my area and they said out of stock. I too use the price checker myself to see :(
 
I went to Target today after school to see if they lowered Tron for ps3 from $15 and i see that they had two Gears of War 3 Collectors Edition for $39.99 i ended up buying one, I was so excited that i forgot about tron until i got home. The employee that was at the cash register ended up buying the last one.

After seemingly weeks of no games at any of my local targets, I finally decided to check in again. Seems like they're putting stuff out again.

Target #1 had maybe 50-60 DS games on clearance (so many they had to use a second endcap to hold them) and one Xbox title (Shrek)

Target #2 had a bunch of DS games as well, and I managed to find a GTAIV Complete for $19.99 even though Target.com listed it as sold out there. For clearance items I picked up:

:ps3: Megamind $14.98 DPCI: 207-24-0438
:ps3: High Velocity Bowling $9.98 DPCI: 207-24-0425

And on top of that they gave me B1G1 on the clearance items so I got High Velocity Bowling for free.

They also had :ps3: Dance on Broadway or something like that for $9.98 but a) it requires move and I don't have move and b) I have zero interest in that :)

Target #2 had a bunch of DS games as well, and I managed to find a GTAIV Complete for $19.99 even though Target.com listed it as sold out there. For clearance items I picked up:

:ps3: Megamind $14.98 DPCI: 207-24-0438
:ps3: High Velocity Bowling $9.98 DPCI: 207-24-0425

And on top of that they gave me B1G1 on the clearance items so I got High Velocity Bowling for free.

You're probably right. The receipt made it look like it was B1G1 on the clearance.

It said something like:

GTV IV $19.99
NCF Megamind $14.98
NCF High Velocity Bowling $9.98
NCF Special Promotion -$9.98

Anyway a decent deal for trophy whoring regardless
 
^Sounds more like a Fatwallet/Slickdeals thing. Least that's what I heard here from some CAGs.

Picked up High Velocity Bowling for $10, hope it was worth it. I missed out on it when Kmart and Gamestop were offering it for $10. I wonder if it worth keeping?

I have Wii Sports for Wii Bowling and that has kept me entertained for my virtual bowling fixes.
 
Been watching a $15 Just Cause 2 for PS3 for a couple weeks. Went in on Wednesday and thought someone had picked it up. Decided to look around the store a bit and happened to find someone's clearance stash. Just Cause was in there and I decided to take it back to the game clearance section (after checking the price of course). "Why should this guy get it cheaper because he hid it? If someone else wants it at $15, let them have it at $15" I thought. A few minutes passed and decided to take the game back to the stash. Figured there will be something coming out in the next few months that I'll want to wait on and then can take from the stash. Still hoping for some deals now that winter is rolling around and I got a bunch last year around this time.

Found el hoardo's stash today too!! Had some crappy Wii games hidden with the electric razors. Those people piss me off

Sorry about that. Basically just want to piss this guy off sometime when he hides something I really want. I only would have picked up Just Cause 2 if it were $5ish as my backlog is large enough. I'm not going to hide anything. I guess the thing to do would have been to put this stuff back, but like I said, I would rather him have something in there that I want (at any price) and pick it up to piss him off. Maybe it's irrational thinking on my part when I'm basically letting him get away with it until he has something I want.

But its hypocritical, because you're just hording through a proxy now. He's doing your dirty work, then you swoop in like a scavenger, but in the name of "justice."

If you really wanted to stick it to the stasher, you'd put his stuff back in the clearance rack and let a soccer mom buy it at 30% off.

Yeah, I think I've come to that realization. It was the one visit so next time I will put them back.
 
Target in evansville, IN on the northside has Lego Indiana Jone 2 for xxbox 360 for 4.98 . There was one left but the guy who works there said its been on clearance for a while and they have sold out of them twice and they keep getting more.
 
My target put out X11s this past week for 30% off, and I'm willing to bite for 50% off. How fast do they do their discounting? Is it weekly or every other week?

I'll check them on Monday before school since I think all Targets do their discounting on Monday if I'm not wrong.

YMMV, most items will drop to the next level after one week but some will go two or three weeks before dropping. And it varies by store too, explaining how some places have it at 75% already while yours for example has it for 30%

Gears 3 controllers show up as discontinued-NCF in the PDA. Can't wait for them to start the clearance cycle. Been wanting one since I saw the bundle was announced.

Figured you all could use this knowledge in future trips to the store. I can get a DPCI the next time I'm at work.

Wow, that is disturbing. They also purchased "Medela breast pumps" and Legos. The eBay account goes back to 2008 and has over $172,000 in sales, wonder if they'll catch the other members.

Yeh the modela pumps went 50-75% off about 5 months back. Was actually a really good deal because you could send in and get a $50 rebate on it also.

Me and my wife looked all over for one.

Temporary price drop on L.A. Noire for $19.99. I only saw the PS3 version, not sure about Xbox. Austin, TX
 
No drops here, most of the stuff from last week was gone or tucked away somewhere. There was a copy of GoW: LE for $55 that was not there last week. I don't have a 360 so it's still on the shelf.
