Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Not clearance but I didn't want to make a new thread for this.... Im at work doing My revisions and Driver (360) is now $24.99 MSRP! Not clearance. Ps3 version is still 40 tho.

The DPCI can be used on scanners at Target that have a keypad. This can help you see the actual price if it is in the glass prison and also indicate if the store has it in stock or if it has been removed from the system. More info on DPCI in the OP.

Used to be able to use Google product search to see if it is at a local store without leaving your house, though I've heard that doesn't really work anymore.

Just noticed that the DPCI is missing in the OP for :ps3: Hawx 2 $13.98 (207 24 0364).

Also forgot to mention that I saw :ps3: Red Faction: Armageddon for $41.98.

Tons of clearance at target today!!! Something for all systems. Best find was contra 4 for $4.98.

Picked up Hunted Demons Forge for $7.48 and Tomb Raider Trilogy for $8.98. Both for ps3. I love adding cheap decent games to my backlog.

Original Y wrap, with no slits. However, the binding glue or w/e used to seal it wasn't very tightly sealed. I assume that's how the fucker got into it, by carefully unfolding the wrap, popping it open and then prying the contents out.

Checked my local target tonight, a shit ton of games dropped, unfortunately mostly shit as well. I didn't find the PoP trilogy I wanted.

Seems like folks in the East get drops first. California lags with clearance. Nothing but the same old I Spy ds games for several weeks now. And I just went yesterday.
 
One of the local stores had a flood of game clearence, ones that I had been watching went to 70% and 75% off plus a whole bunch of new stuff that seemed to skip 30% and went straight to 50% off. It's wierd we have 5 stores in the area, but this is the only one that has a bunch of games clearenced, the others had Shrek 360 last week and that was it.

I picked up a bunch of 3ds titles (some for trade-in fodder), and there was another guy there with a hand basket full of games scanning them with his iphone "said he was christmas shopping".

@kndy I seen Dragon Quest VI also.

This was my Target about an hour ago. I've never seen so many games in their clearance section at one time...

I bought Ghostbusters for the Wii for $8 and left everything else. I either had other stuff I'd want, or I just wasn't interested. They had tons of copies of Dead Space 2 Limited for PS3 for around $11, lots of NBA Jam for the same price as well. There were Harry Potter Games, a boatload of Nintendogs+Cats 3DS for $11, and just tons more. Ummm, Singularity, HAWX 2, and Eye Pet for around $12, and I don't remember too much more off the top of my head. I was on break for lunch and didn't have time to really jot down anything and just grabbed the one I wanted.

Mine wasn't as sloppily done but had close to as many games. They cleared out one of the end caps that the normally keep new games in those security cases in and just used it for highend clearance. Then they had 2 seperate end caps with clearance.

Best of all they had FIFA 12 for $15!!! I never really like soccer games but this one is good. Snagged 2 FIFA for Xmas presents and left 3. Got many other games (enough flips to make all the games I was going to keep free) and called it a night.

They probably are, because I went to two Targets yesterday, and saw a couple at each. Still at $20.xx, so it's not exactly enticing.
 
My closest Target put out a bunch of games today, but mostly Wii and DS stuff. The only thing I picked up was Tony Hawk Ride Bundle (Xbox 360) for $11.98 to give to someone else. They did have the Uncharted dual pack for $27.XX. I was hoping for Brunswick Bowling for a decent price, but no such luck.

Sony PS2 8MB Memory Cards, saw them for $9.98 yesterday.
 
Scored RDR:UN on 360 for $4.98. Also grabbed Tomb Raider Trilogy for around $8 and NBA2K11 (Wii) for $5-ish.

I almost forgot about the holiday clearance blowout @ Target, seeing tons of clearance reminded me it's that time of year!
 
Just checked out my Target, and aside from a bunch of shovel wear, except for maybe Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm for around $20, I managed to get the last Epic Mickey Collectors Edition for $20.98.

My target has about 50 games locked (yes that's right locked) in a case on the clearance endcap. You cannot even tell what is in there beyond the first two games because they face forward. So stupid.

When I think about it, it makes sense to have tons of Wii & DS games out...with WiiU coming and 3ds out.

However, I wonder if this an insider 'hint' at a NEW XBOX 360. Saw tonsssss of X360 games and a small amount of PS3.

Everything thing doesn't get 'leaked' so only time may tell.

Give it a week or 2, they'll drop. This is the time when Target blows out TONS of old inventory.
 
And then come Black Friday, everyone will claim ignorant shoppers cleared out the clearance aisles on Black Friday (didn't find this to be true at my local Targets last year).

Then after that, people will claim its the end of Target video game clearance as we know it (again, not true).

We'll do the sky is falling routine until the next wave of clearance comes.
