Ah thanks for that extension, although it's a bit dramatic. It also can pretty much access all my info lol.

Also a new Bundlestars launched yesterday.
I think it's a very solid Bundlestars myself. S8 is decent, Insect-thingie is good, and I skipped the Tropico gala since I owned T4, so that's a nice little bonus. It's not a bad bundle at all.

I like how it adds to your post if you repost and you were last. It keeps me from looking like a jackass.... well at least in that one TINY regard.

I've lost my thread subscriptions on the mobile site. Do they still work on the full version?

Also, four new titles had trading cards added last night:

Faerie Solitaire
Really Big Sky
Bit Trip Runner 2
Monster Loves You
Edit: Grrr, missed Hal's post. Ignore me. Thread moving too quickly.

http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-remember-me-pc

Remember Me for $34.99. It's pretty much against CAG rules to buy something so damn early on PC - but if you just can't wait go for it. Keep in mind that Capcom games usually hold their value pretty well.
I am very tempted by this... but I really shouldn't.
I am playing through it on the PS3 since a friend let me borrow it. It's enjoyable enough but it would say it isn't worth more than $20. The combat is alright, it doesn't feel very button-mashy but you pretty much just go between a couple different combos the whole time. The atmosphere is fantastic though but I am getting the feeling that the game won't reach its real potential for the story compared to the feel of the game world.

Not liking the new white color, can't wait for that black background. Though I do like the ability to change your username once a year now.

Where is the search bar for individual threads?

edit: as in, if I want to search this thread (and just this thread) for mentions of Dungeon Siege where/how do I do it?

I suppose someone should mention the Batman series is on sale and that there are four new games added to the trading scheme game.
Which games were added, I missed that.
  • Monster Loves You!
  • Really Big Sky
  • Faerie Solitaire
  • BIT.TRIP RUNNER 2
out of those four I only own Faerie Solitaire, which I played last night to get the trading cards, the cards for this game take forever to drop took me nearly 3 hours to get them all, it wouldn't be so bad if the game was actually fun to play. Now need to decide if I'll buy the other games or not, Really Big Sky was in an Indie Royale bundle so maybe I'll find someone who still has a copy for cheap, the other two I'll wait to get during the steam summer sale.

I barely ever play on consoles anymore.. but maybe I'll swing by a redbox in the next couple of days - since I've heard it wasn't really that long a game.

That's not normal? It took me about 8 hours of menu idling (combined) to get the cards from Portal 2, HL2 and TF2.

I'm keeping the white even when the new themes get added. I do a lot of reading on this site at night in pitch blackness (take my wife, please), and the dark background was a killer. I miss the green+orange bits tho.

Those 4 new trading card games are outta left field, yaskme. Can't understand why L4D hasn't been added yet.

well it looks like wikis are gone, so YMMV as to how much the OP gets updated. Also looks like you may not be able to update the thread title, in which case I'm not sure what to do :headache:

Oh dear. All the consolephile talk in the Steam thread really broke CAG... ~36 hours of down time + blinding white background... don't they know collective punishement is a war crime!

Geneva Convention:

Article 33. No persons may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
Pillage is prohibited.
Reprisals against persons and their property are prohibited.

Welcome back!

edit: I have an avatar now. This will not do.

Now you're impersonating Severose! ^_~

The white.. is blinding me. Must.. go.. black..

Oh that's too bad. I really enjoyed Faerie Solitaire. Once you started to get a few powerups that game had a real nice rhythm to it, I thought.

I actually enjoyed Faerie Solitaire too... I played it before there were cards.   I'll likely idle it for the cards though.

Edit, just realized Join Date is gone - which was nice for traders and for chiding newbies... Looks like your "CAG rank" is strictly based off of post count?  Pretty sure I've been a CAG veteran for awhile?

I'm sure those will be added back as they integrate more and more features into the new version of the site. At least, I hope so!

All is forgiven because finally there's a rehandleizer, and I've been wanting to replace that degrading name ever since I converted to Islam.

I badly needed a name change as well so I'm grateful for that. It was tough being without CAG for a whole day though.

How 'bout a minor Steam deal? Gamefly has both Serious Sam HD for $.98 each - The First Encounter and The Second Encounter. These are pretty much the only ones that haven't been in indie bundles so I picked 'em up.

Also got my first Foil card...from Faerie Solitaire. Probably the most worthless foils on the whole market. Ah well if I can get 10 bucks from it I'll be happy.

I have actually been playing these games and not idleing which is what I should of probably done with faerie solitaire. The average is between 90-120 minutes for most games, Portal 2 took me 2 hours, Half-Life 2, CS:GO, Don't Starve and Borderlands 2 all took about 90 minutes each. TF2 so far has been the longest, it took about 3 and a half hours to get all card drop on it. I played a couple of matches of Dota 2 and watched a competitive match in spectator mode, only to find out I couldn't get card drops on the game at all.

Mouse over someone's user name, and it'll pop up along with some other info. I think that's actually a pretty cool feature.

Yeah, just noticed I could change my member title, despite that previously being locked out until you've been a member for a year. This is all very weird to me :cold:

on a more positive note CAG 3.0 made sending pm's is a little easier, the notifications icon at the top is also nice, lets me know when someone quoted one of my posts

Based on another thread, it sounds like the dark theme is coming back. Just not right now. My favorite site looks much less cool in white.

Ugh, the white, it is so bright, it isn't even off white...it burns

Also the top half of the text is missing parts for me in Chrome.

Seriously, did they even test this stuff outside of like 1 persons PC.

I'll be back when I can actually looking at the site and it doesn't cause pain.

I don't usually mind white websites but the white is definitely too bright. Also, like others mentioned, The font displays horribly for me with the top half being cut off a lot. I'd definitely suggest Arial or Helvetica over Proxinimina.

Would be nice to know how to get a permalink to the latest post of a thread. If anyone can help with this and show me how to get email alerts, then that would be great.

I'll try to figure it out myself for the time being.

The Chrome extension makes life much more livable - but I'll likely be spending more of my time of r/gamedeals - it typically moves faster and referral links go to Charity rather than profit / site-upkeep.  The Steam trade thread and Steam Deals thread are the only thing keeping me here - and the deals thread is only for the people.

http://www.gamefly.com/download-games/browse/?ids=%205005646,5005998,5006000,5006025,5004765,5005484

Gamefly DD sale:

Mass Effect Trilogy - $19.99

BioShock 1 & 2 - $4.99

Borderlands 1 GOTY & 2 - $19.99

Dead Space 1 + 2 + 3 - $49.99

Crysis 1 + 2 + 3 - $54.99

Total War: Master Collection - $22.49

The EA games can be assumed to be Origin but I didn't bother looking them up.  Bioshock deal is nice if you've missed it 100 other times.

alright, I still can't figure out how to edit the title. Help anyone?
I assume that they haven't finished implementing CAG 3.0. They'll probably get around to reintroducing a lot of features (including the ability to edit titles) over the next few days.

In the meantime, I wouldn't worry about not updating the thread title. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't get updated every day.

For email alerts, click on your profile name on the bar at the top of the screen, then click "My Settings" --> "Notification Options." Everything should be there.

well in the feedback thread they had said it had been fixed, so I figured I'd keep things moving, and also just for my own needs to have things updated.

alright, I still can't figure out how to edit the title. Help anyone?
Yes. Click to edit the very first post in the thread, which is your post. You'll then at the bottom see the option for the Full Editor. That let's you edit thread title.
thanks, but I still can't do it. Maybe it's something specific to this thread, since others have definitely been able to edit their titles. I guess I will go play some fairie solitaire for now, and hopefully CAG will be back to simi normal later today.

They've done a really sloppy job with this migration. It's like they didn't think to have tried a test conversion, implement URL redirrection, check the settings, or even have the new CAG-styled skin ready. :whistle2:|
