I picked up Infinite Undiscovery, Halo 3 (hadn't played it yet), and Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core.  Thought about The Last Remnant, but I think that I can pick up on steam the next time one of their big sales come along.  I'll probably get dragon age on steam as well.

And bought Mario and Luigi Dream Team, I had a Powerup Coupon for $10 off any item I wanted to use on MaL, she wouldn't let me use the code that I just wrote down. I asked if that was a new thing and she said they're never supposed to have done it. I wanted to be like that's how I've done it since the beginning of the program at over 5 different Gamestops.

But I just pulled it up on my phone (which only showed the code too, that she had to punch in anyway)

How would I go about returning one of these games, I think I want to swap out Fear for either a better copy or another game? Would I have to bring every game in or what?

I had meant to grab the complete Brutal Legend the one store had where I got Killzone and had a mental lapse and ended up getting Kill Zone instead.  Fortunately these seem like they should be able to be returned by themselves since they just get marked down to $3.

 
Didn't realize it until I got in the car, but the copy of Army of Two I picked up this morning STINKS like cigarette smoke.
Plus it has a big crack in the case, and its pretty scratched.
I'd like to return it, but do I need to bring back the other two also?
The Devil May Cry I got was the steelbook with a bonus disc believe it or not.

No, they're individual games on the receipt so returning one shouldn't be a problem. If you want to exchange it bring the other games since they'll do a return and rebuy but will have to scan all three games.

Am I missing something? Why is everybody buying Modern Warfare for 3.33 to trade in to BB for 3 bucks? Is this a case of moving credit from one retailer to another?

Perhaps because I don't flip on such a micro level that I just don't understand it. But is negative 33 cents something to be happy about. Am I missing something?

*What the guy above me said! Seems like the effort involved and time spent is far from worth it! You really see the value of people's time on these forums!

Trust me - I always double buy on limited sets, limited systems, etc. and usually sell off the extra for big profits. A hundred + dollars I can see being worth 20 minutes of my time, but a buck!? WTF!?

Its actually $4.50 after 50%. But still thats like $1.25 profit also not mentioning that BBY takes like 30 minutes to trade a damn game in. I must be missing something.

I'll take $4 profit for 10 minutes of standing there while the guy puts them in. Then happily walk over to the used games and buy FIFA 13 for $3 more for a $12 investment before taking it back down the street to GS where it becomes over $25.

Basically:

3x $3.18 game w/tax -> $13.50 BBY credit

$13.50 BBY credit + 3.44 -> FIFA 13

FIFA 13 + other qualifying game -> $50 GS credit

Yeah, it's laughable really. I make 1.25 just for sitting at my desk for 3 1/2 minutes at work. I just don't get these little flips?

I'm sorry that not all of us can have a $25 an hour job, if you have one for me I will happily take it over spending four hours on flipping games. In that four hours time I still made $80-90 profit so it's better than sitting here making $0. Doing this when there's a worthwhile promotion like this not only pays for my gaming but keeps gas in the car and diapers on my kid while I don't have a $25 an hour job.

That's $21 an hour.

Even so, he very well may live in LA, and you in MS. All depends on the area. $21 in my area is on the top end, where somewhere like NYC or LA, $21 might be minimum wage here.
 
The thing people do for a few dollars man, that's sad. Yall should be in Storage Wars or something. I rather work an hour and get my $20 bill.

I realize that, I was rounding it off to make a point. You know what you're lucky to get around here in a non-professional job if you can find work? $8 an hour. Working full time that's barely enough to support one person let alone a child too or indulging in an expensive hobby. But hey, everyone knows better so :ziplip:

How can you buy gas with Amazon credit and GS credit. I don't blame the guy if that's his last option but flippin games for a dollar profit is just too sad. Imagine all the hazzle you gotta go for one buck when you could easily do something else. When you flip lets say $20 now that's good profit.

Warning: Condemned 2 has a game breaking glitch that makes the sound not work until you patch. However, patching the game causes the ps3 to run out of memory and crash.  Return that shit if you made the same mistake I did and didn't try the disks yet.

Swapped for SW: Force Unleashed

Hopefully these sales become a weekly stock clearance.

Picked up Dragon Age Origins, Last Remnant, and Infinite Undiscovery all for 360. Might go back later to get some others, but I'm totally fine with what I've got now :)

 
Just stopped by my local gamestop. The selection they had was pretty terrible. Saw like 10 copies of GH: World Tour and 5 copies of Halo 3.

Did you ask them? Mine had a ton behind the counter in the cases hidden...whereas their floor display was horrible

FEAR (played it years ago on PC...forgot most everything about it)
Operation Flashpoint (looks hard as hell ;D )
Chronicles of Riddick AODA (never played it..heard it does a nice HD of the classic Butcher Bay, and a solid new game; just in time for the new movie too!)

After PUR, like $8.80 for all 3. I'm a happy camper!
 
As much as I am NOT a Baseball person, I've been curious about MLB:The Show in 3D with PlayStation Move. Should be worth the 5 second pick up and put down for $3.

I stopped in and bought Alpha Protocol, Kane & Lynch 2, and Battlefield Bad Company 2.  I will probably reserve a few others online at another Gamestop.  Decent deal for older games.  Thanks!

 
To the guy trading in Modern Warfare 2 I hope you know it only trades in for $1 at BBY. The 360 version trades for $3 which isn't part of the promotion.

Thanks for mentioning this, I tried to update the PS3 version but it always reset my PS3 :bomb: , even waiting for the dang ok button to blink. Anyone know if the 360 version has the same error?
