I played all Vig8 and TM (except Small Brawl) on PS1 - sadly the Vig8 remake on XBLA runs at 10fps. Calypso's voice in the new TM on PS3 is game-breakingly bad.

Haha yeah it is! I loved that Star Wars game!

I basically played all the TMs and Vig8s myself as well, I did buy that one on 360 when it was really cheap since there really aren't a lot of games like that now so I'll take what I can get sadly. Haven't heard the voices in the PS3 version of TM yet, just did a few matches against the bots and it reminded me of the old games so I was happy with that at least.

I know it's late, but I actually didn't mind Skyrim's melee combat either. Any first person melee combat that allows you to actually build momentum and move forward is a-ok in my book. In a POV that so naturally lends itself to backpedaling, the ability to muscle forward always stands out to me. It's one of the reasons I actually really enjoyed The Darkness 2.

The magic though? Yeah, that's rough. Thankfully that Skyrim Redone mod addresses the downfalls and makes magic pretty god damned awesome. I've been playing a full mage for a few months now and it's a god damned blast. PC master race, etc, etc.

Dicked around a little more in ALBW last evening, got the pegasus boots I missed, bought a golden bee to get that medal, and did the beginner and intermediate runs through Treacherous Tower.  I think I'm done now, and will put it up on Amazon to sell in a bit.

Also played some more Super Mario 3D World.  Got through the second world, getting all the green stars and stamps.  Very impressed by the game and level design so far.  The shadow level in world two was pretty cool.

Also, I had been accumulating the free VC that 2K has been sending out but wondering why it never applied to MyCareer mode...turns out if you bought the game early on and started playing before downloading all the patches, the game save became offline only and subsequently, completely incompatible with VC codes that were given away or bought with real money in the store.

I ended up creating a new save and starting all over. And even though I played a shit ton better than my scripted rival in the first Rookie Scout game, I still ended up getting drafted after him and on the SAME fuckING TEAM as the first time I played (and did way worse in).

smh. But there's no other good basketball video games to play. sighhh.

I'm really enjoying My Career despite its flaws. First I think being drafted after Jackson Ellis (the "rival" the mode creates for you) is a given and also what position you play determines what team you start out with. Seems PG always go to either Phoenix or Sacramento.

I haven't played an NBA 2K since 2K11 so that's probably got something to do with it as well.

Luckily I didn't start My Career until after New Years Day & patch 3 so I didn't have to restart.

No, I've heard that you can get picked ahead of Ellis.

Position does determine which team. PGs tend to go Utah, Phoenix, Sacramento.

The game is better now that I have restarted, but still full of stupid little shit that pisses me off.

It's helpful to install the NBA 2K app as they give you free VC once a day, every day and you can earn VC in other ways as well.

The best thing is that they actually have audio for my player name--just like in MLB. It's pretty awesome considering I have an Asian last name.

I like Amanda Conner's work--she's not afraid to draw characters like Powergirl the way dudes originally designed them. :p

Sara Pichelli, Becky Cloonan, and Fiona Staples are all great too.

Old school, there's Marie Severin and Wendy Pini.

There are many underground or indie/alternative female cartoonists and female "specialists" who are inkers or colorists as well.

Frozen is an amazing movie. Finally got to watch it. If you like Disney movies and haven't watched it - GO WATCH IT.

Passed by GS to see what PS2 games I could get. I was only able to find Silent Hill 2, SH: Shattered Memories, some Spyro game, and Katamari Damacy. Whatevs.

Watched The Last Stand  with Arnold tonight.  It wasn't a bad movie.  Was nice to see him back in a starring role.
