I wasnt paying much attention as Gator and I were playing golf in GTA 5. And laughing when half the time we would see the other player glitching through the ground! It looked decent enough from what I saw. More simulation than arcade.

Kinda crazy. They're over $20k per month now between the two patreons (which I had never heard of until today). I can't believe this kind of monetization model works. Moreso I'm just pissed at myself for not figuring out how to get in on it myself.

They're getting Gravity Crash Ultra, I'd much prefer that over Duke but I'm sure I'm in the minority there.

Nah probably not going to stream it tonight.

It's really technical and sterile and focused. I mean, if all you want to do is play golf you'll probably enjoy it. I guess there's not career mode really or created character you can level up or anything, which is kind of a drawback. I only played one 18 hole course and it played fine.

But I think it's like $20-$30. At that price, wait for Tiger Woods or whatever EA is calling their game now.

Well they also still get their revenue from Youtube as well, since all videos post there a week later for free. so I am going to say around 30,000 a month. And there is 5 of them actually, they have some guy named Kevin who does the behind the scenes stuff.

The patreon thing is interesting as actually there is an average if $6 a month being pledged. that gets you the videos and mp3s the day they post and also access to some exclusive videos only to patreon. Then they post the videos a week later on youtube for free so as not to alienate real cheap assess.

I kinda wondered that as well. Oh, however Greg is still going to do some free lance stuff for IGN, like he has two more episodes of Up at Noon, and him and Colin will continue on Podcast Beyond until they decide they want to step aside.

i should take a picture of one of my bookshelves, but that would probly be too controversial. uncle fester/loompaniacs/adbusters/etc. I know there are still nazis running around today, lol. tmi, but my dad was
a mp stationed in germany cop army white power map on the wall with pins at locations kkk crazy private investigator far right
radical. i wouldn't believe people could be so crazy but yeah. american history x type. but yeah tmi.

I just found it interesting that its always only germany, like they can't be trusted with swastika in their games or something weird. It's like if we outlawed the confederate flag or if the republicans just pretended the 8 years of bush/cheney never happened.

God I love when the transfer window is open in football.

Messi (basically lebron james for those who dont follow football) is rumored to be leaving his current team Barcelona (think new york yankees) and destination is thought to be Chelsea.

He got in a tizzy with his coach who benched him for a match, he then skipped training due to an "upset tum tum" and while not at practice followed Chelsea on Instagram.

So everyone is going silly saying confirmed he wants out and wants to go to chelsea.

Whoo, good times.

My grandfather is as racist as anyone I've ever met, but his dad is a full-blooded member of a tribe that was considered colored in pre-20th century America.

Australia and New Zealand ban a lot of stuff with games, music, and entertainment, too. Hell, the UK just banned facesitting porn.

I don't like Chelsea, but I'd love to see Messi in the EPL regardless of which team he plays for.

Serious question: Should I post any of the noteworthy Gamestop -> Amazon flips that occasionally pop up in the Amazon TIV thread? I recall most of you not being all that keen on the whole flipping thing.

Ah, ok. Yeah, sim is definitely what I'm looking for. Got my fill of arcade playing hot shots this year. Can't wait till they come out with another one.

I guess that's about $60k/year for each of them before paying anyone else involved and all other fees. Which is damn good. But I would think they had to make at least that at IGN w/ insurance, perks of working for IGN, etc. Seems like a risky venture, but I hope they have success.

Eh, no career mode, not thanks. I figured for as much as it was, it would be a little more robust than that. I guess I can wait. If it goes on sale for $10 or less, I might give it a whirl.

Easy--cancel the Square-Enix Store one and keep the Amazon one until closer to release date. As YBX87 pointed out in the CE thread, Best Buy has oversold CEs in the past and canceled preorders, so it's safer to have at least one backup.

...Unless you didn't order from the Square-Enix store and instead went with Gamestop, in which case you should just cancel that one.

Don't I have to jump through weird hoops to cancel the Squeenix one? I think I tried when it came on Amazon and I gave up. I probably didn't try too hard, though.

I said this earlier to Tyler too, they also still get there youtube money as each one of their videos, streams, etc gets posted a week later. Not to mention they now get Twitch Subscriptions and tips on twitch as well... I could see them each pulling in 100k each maybe more after advertising and appearances. Not to mention Colin and Greg will be doing free lance stuff that I am sure they will get paid for as well.
