My local BlockBusters have been getting more adamant about putting the trade-in credit on my account versus putting it on a Value Card. They don't like their money walking away to another store.
Traded in today:
2x Open Season X360 $19
3x Superman Returns X360 $15
Bionicle Heroes X360 $15
Bought today:
Bioshock Used X360 $44.99
The Orange Box New X360 $59.99
I wonder how long I can ride the "half-price games" train at Blockbuster's expense?
KMart clearance is where it's at. Went to a couple other stores tonight:
Superman Returns X360 $7
Bionicle Heroes X360 $4.90
2 x Open Season X360 $7
$25.90 total; will trade-in tomorrow for $68 in BB/GR credit. 162.5% return.
Also grabbed some accessories:
2 x Universal Gamer Remotes $3.50...
Got
2 x THAW X360
2 x Superman Returns X360
Nyko Performance Kit
$38.50
Could have saved even more if I did the $25 Gift Card for $20 deal. Could have also waited until November 4 for another 10% off.
X360
Superman Returns - $15 credit
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - $15 credit
Both games are holding their value from last week.
Just picked up 2 copies of each for $7 each at KMart.
114.3% return
I'm getting pretty annoyed with BB/GR behavior now. THEY implemented the trade-in policy, THEY set trade-in prices, but they make US feel like criminals for trading in games.
From now on, I'm going to shamelessly trade-in games and make all my local Blockbuster Videos take a bath on trade-in...
FYI, I saw two used game price drops.
Bioshock is now $44.99
Halo 3 is now $49.99
Bioshock seems to be a good deal, a full $10 less than the used price at EB/GS. Halo 3 is $5 less than EB/GS. Tons of copies of Bioshock (which is expected because it's single-player only). Only one copy of...

If ANY Blockbuster employee gives you trouble about putting credit on a value card, ask them for a copy of their trade-in agreement (or show them the copy you were given when you opened your trade account) and point...
