Instead of 2xtreme you should definitely check out Thrasher- skate and destroy. It was the best skateboarding game out there, waaay better than thps imho, made by rockstar and had one of the best ragdoll physics for the time.

exactly what sp00ge said, good advice! I've never had to replace a connector either so don't waste your money on that.

Does the cart fit pretty snuggly in the system, it could be the 72pin connecter inside the system, they do go bad eventually, i would try a quick cleaning inside the machine, could try to bend the pins down a bit to make sure everything has good contact, don't quote me on this though.

I almost forgot about this, I picked up an MSX last year just for the original metal gear, man it was sooo much better than the NES port! I will say that there's something about loading a game from tape that was both painfully long and awesome at the same time, usually those loading screens...

Just interested to see if there are any gamers here that use good old 8bit computers ie commodore64, zx spectrum, amstrad cpc, atari st ect. My personal fav is the c64, some of the best soundtracks of all time, and still one of my favourite games Manic Miner!
