    2013 Yard Sale Thread

It's been about a year since I last posted but I had a pretty sweet find this past weekend so I figured I'd post it. I pull up to a yard sale and in the garbage the people have by the road I see a stack of issues of Nintendo Power that look pretty old. As I go to grab them the people say "oh...

The Official Craigslist Finds Thread Vol. 2

I would go for it. You can easily sell your yellowed one for around $60 on Amazon. Then the games are worth the difference and if you sell the ones you already have copies of (if that's the case) you'll definitely make your money back.

How would you handle this deceptive Amazon seller?

Have you considered the possibility the seller picked up the item somewhere (thrift store, yard sale, etc.) not knowing it was a bootleg and thought they sold you a legit copy? You could have just told them you would pay to return it properly and expect a full refund plus the cost of your return...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

I know what you mean. Just because something is listed Buy it Now on eBay for $100 doesn't mean it's actually worth that much. In my case I bought that about a month ago and sold it (on Amazon) a day later for $59.99, the lowest price at the time. So I agree they aren't worth that much, but...

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

I thought it indicated the value in the sense that when I sell games it's primarily on Amazon, and that was a screenshot of the prices on Amazon at the time of my post. If you couldn't find things for a better price than the "going rate" often, this site wouldn't exist. ;)

    Thrift Store Thread 2012

Thank you! What in the world is going on with these trade in values? They were just giving out $21 in credit for NHL 12 right before 13 came out. I don't understand how it's used and new starting at $4 and trade-in credit is $21 disc only for Oddworld. Can anyone explain this?

    Official 2012 Yard Sale Thread

Haven't really posted all summer. I figured I would wait til things died down and put everything up. Check the thrift store and CL threads too. $1 at a community sale. Also picked up another copy at savers for 1.99 recently. :hot: $1 each. $20 - not a steal but there was still money to...

Yeah I've seen you post stuff about the RI / Southern Mass area before. Figured we'd overlap sooner or later. I think you've beaten me to a few CL adds then posted them in the CL finds thread, lol. Were you at the Swansea Salvation Army on Tuesday by any chance? Had a funny interaction with a...

    The Flea Market Find Thread

I keep doing well with one particular guy at the local flea. He prices his shit pretty fairly and is easy to haggle with. Picked up a yellow game boy color. He has it in a case and I ask how much. He says $10. I ask if it has the battery cover and he says yes. Then takes it out and realizes it...

    Yet More Craigslist Stupidity!

I hate when you send someone an e-mail asking about what they're selling, they don't reply, then re-list it again and in the ad say "e-mail if you want to know what games I have". WTF? Another thing that sucks is when you finally find a good deal but the person seems too crazy for it to be...

    Thrift Store Thread 2012

Not sure if it was the trilogy or not, and also not sure if you ever sell stuff online, but if it was and you do, you could sell that easily for $60 on Amazon. I recently found a sealed copy at Wal-Mart for $19.96, and sold it on Amazon for $100. Probably could've gotten a bit more but I didn't...

    selling goods on Amazon.com?

It's funny you say that since I feel the exact opposite way. I sold strictly on Amazon for about a year and then decided to throw up a few things that the market was better for on eBay. In a week I sold 3 items and not a single buyer paid or even communicated with me. At least with Amazon you...

    The Flea Market Find Thread

Had some luck lately with one guy at a flea market Crash and Excitebike he was asking $3 each, offered $5 for both and got those. I was walking by later on and saw the DS and they were $5 each. Didn't bother haggling on those. Also got Starfox 64 for $5 last week from the same guy. I also...
