Speaking of that, I used to LOVE ESPN when they had the "YOU GOT JACKED UP!" segments. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL told them to stop. Anyone else remember that?

Nobody watched Pats-Dolphins? That was one of the most entertaining games of the year.

Joey Porter talked and talked all week, talked all game, and they got schooled. The Dolphins started throwing cheapshots late, chop blocks, and even a fight on an extra point.

The Dolphins offense played well and it was close for a while, but the Pats pulled away at the end. Matt Cassel with another 400 yard performance, Randy Moss with 3 TD's.

Man the Jets impressed the heck out of me, and I too wonder how they lost to the Raiders, but I bet that loss is what probably woke them up and made them wonder what the heck they were doing.

The time of possession was insane, the ratio was 3:1 at a point, the defense really held them down, but some things also went their way, ESPECIALLY those dropped passes by the Titans, who knows what could have happened if they caught those.
What I loved is that even though they had turnovers they did not allow ANY points off those, which really amazed me. I loved those long drives by their offense, Favre taking care of the ball, a lot of short passes, the occasional long shot although that INT had me a little nervous.

I hated the fact that they allowed the Titans to score so quickly though after Washington's rushing TD, that had me thinking about their previous come-from-behind wins on Collins' clutch TD's, heck, even Favre was yelling at the defense, he didn't want another situation like last week. I also got worried when Jenkins went down, but if Haynesworth can go down twice and still be able to duke it out on the field, Jenkins can do it too ;)

On another note, looks like the big WR's Moss and Owens finally have their big games and maybe more to come. I've been wondering when their teams would start getting the ball to them again, and what in the world is going on with McNabb?!?
There were a lot of gamebreaks going back to the Dolphins/Pats game, it looked like a real shootout over there.

He does have Wes Welker and Randy Moss though. I doubt Cassel could be as efficient as he has been the past 2 weeks if he was on another team. I would actually guarantee that.

This isn't to knock Cassel, but he has a great o-line, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Bellicheck as his coach.

That's how a QB succeeds.

The 49ers should just draft Michael Oher (OL) and give Smith a chance.
 
Ok just a little warning to all NFL fans. DO NOT EAT BEFORE WATCHING THE LIONS THIS THANKSGIVING! If you are expecting NFL calibur football you will barf. Its best to watch the Lions like you're heading into a quality comedy or maybe even a spoof movie. It is not meant to be serious sports. They simply act as a working "don't do" example for all other sports franchises. Tackling dummies if you will. Knowing this will greatly improve your viewing experience.

The Thanksgiving game is gonna be....yeesh. The Titans will be giving thanks for the NFL giving them a game against the Lions, and then will proceed to unleash an ass kicking, or so I assume ;)

Cassel is a lucky SOB who is going to get $8M/year next season from some desperate team and he is going to get absolutely crushed. He is the very definition of a product of the system. No college starts? No professional starts? No experience at all? No problem! The Patriots have a GREAT system in place and their success this season without Brady is evidence of that... oh and the fact they have the easiest schedule in the league!

It is troubling. I am not used to rooting for a Giants team that is actually good. Even when they won last year and made the Super Bowl in 2000 it was unexpected. Same with 1990 when the Bills were favored and the Giants had to beat the juggernaut 49ers 15-13 in Candlestick in the NFC title game (no TDs FTW!). I think 1986 was the last time they were actually the dominant team in the league. Look at the Pats from last year - it's probably way worse losing like that than when they got beat by the Colts or something even after a really good season.

Not really. The Giants got hot at the right time. There Defense was tough and they learned a lot from playing them on Week 17. I think the Pats pretty much underestimated the Giants going into that game. You can never look past any team, that's when you'll lose.

I really hope the Niners don't waste the money and try to get him, I don't want them to waste anymore time on quarterbacks that wont pan out.
 
I needed 15 pts to win my FF game coming into MNF and had Rodgers and Lance Moore starting. They've done the job and then some! Too bad I can't carry over some of these pts to next week!

Cassel was stuck behind Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart, two Heisman winners. What could he do besides transfer?

I don't think you guys are watching the games. Yeah, they've got a great system, but Cassel is making plays. Look at all the stiffs that are starting in the NFL right now, he's easily better than a number of those guys right now.

I wasn't expecting the Browns to put together a good remainder of the season but I was expecting him to at least learn more about adapting to the NFL in preparation for next year.

That was one of the worst calls I have seen in a long time. QBs aren't supposed to be mind readers.

I couldn't believe the Eagles/Cardinals game, Warner and McNabb reversed roles in the first half, I was appalled at what the Cardinals let the Eagles do to them and how one-sided all the games were.

These were some crappy match-ups for a holiday game and how much they tried to blow up the victories of the Titans and Cowboys against two very terrible teams.

Thank God McNabb returned to form this week since I started him. I debated for quite some time on whether to start Rodgers or McNabb this week. I liked McNabb's matchup against the Cards D but was afraid he'd crap all over himself like last week. I didn't like Rodgers matchup against Carolina.

I know McNabb is a good QB, I figured he just entered a slump and he'd get out of it eventually, but against the Cardinals I wouldn't have imagined them dumping 21 points on them in the first quarter, of course, their running game had a lot to do with it, Westbrook finally broke out.

I still believe Rodgers will do a good job against Carolina, and I'm favoring the Packers secondary against a QB who threw 4 INT's against the Raiders D.

New York Giants receiver Plaxico Burress suffered an accidental gunshot wound Friday night in a club, according to multiple sources.

Details of the incident weren't immediately available, but according to a source the wound was not considered life-threatening.

Fox Sports.com reported that Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg and spent the night in the hospital.

Burress, who was not expected to play against the Washington Redskins on Sunday because of a hamstring injury, was not at team meetings and did not attend the team's Saturday walkthrough.

The Giants organization was not commenting on the story.

In September, Burress was suspended for a game and fined for a violation of team rules, reportedly failing to appear at a team meeting and being unavailable by phone. At the time, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that Burress was tending to urgent family matters.

Burress signed a five-year, $35 million contract this fall after helping the Giants to a Super Bowl championship last season.

Derek Anderson isn't so bad, his WR's are horrible though.

Epic fail... One of their guards got overpowered by a guy 100lbs lighter than him, and Anderson's knee is hurt on the play.
