 Who doesn't Phil?
That's what he said :lol::bouncy:
Doesn't matter which team from the AFC makes it to the Superbowl, the NFC champ is gonna destroy them.
We can only hope.

4th and ballgame coming up...

There it is... BALLGAME! Congrats Jets. I really thought the way they were basically given the 6th seed they would get killed in the playoffs but they've proven that they belong!
We can only hope.
I really think this will happen.

The Saints have had 9 wins and 1 in postseason where they won by MORE THAN 1 touchdown, some of them huge blowouts.

Vikings? Exact same thing, 9 wins and 1 win in postseason by more than 1 touchdown.

Colts won 8 games by 1 touchdown or less.

Jets can't be serious about winning the Superbowl.

I feel bad for Sproles, I've been a huge fan of his since watching him play at nearby Kansas State, on the other hand I don't mind seeing that cock Rivers get eliminated once again!

I was rooting for the Chargers because I felt they had a better chance against the Colts. The last Colts Super Bowl was the most boring Super Bowl I ever watched.

I'm glad that the Jets have taken out two overrated teams and it's all because Cincy bent over on the last week of the season, which gave them momentum.

As a Chargers fan, I'm not surprised they blew it. That's what they do when they have a home playoff game.A home game for them is never really a home game.

I always prefer them to be the underdogs, they play better. Well, I think you will see a restructured team next year. I think they might have another couple of runs left in them. But, I think this was there best chance at making or winning the SB in the past few seasons.

That idiot Charger player gave the game away with his stupid penalty that resulted in the Jets first touchdown instead of the Jets ending on downs. Also big applause to the stupid Charger kicker who choked big time. Jet's won't go any farther.

I never really understood the hate for Rivers? He has made some bad choices as far as mouthing off. But as a guy who played on literally one leg in an AFC championship game a couple of seasons ago, how could you not be impressed(respected) by that?

That's the biggest thing that has killed them in the playoffs for YEARS. Bonehead penalies and missed field goals.. That's why they need some new players and possibly new coaches to teach/learn discipline.

I'm shocked by some the stupidity I see in the penalties some players made, especially in this game. It's like Hello you jackass if you could stop yourself from headbutting another player on your own 10 yard line you might have just won the game. Go celebrate your accomplishment with your team for costing them the game! All season long to have someone unable to control themself even the smallest bit.

Yeah i like Sproles too... he's solid... i despise Rivers though... douche

Man, the Jets have been real lucky the last two weeks with all these missed field goals. Also, stupid move by the Chargers for attempting the onsides kick instead of kicking it off IMO.

I am a Jets fan and I am very surprised that they have made it this far though. I doubt the Colts will choke next week, but who knows. Either way, the Jets have a bright future ahead of them. Once Sanchez gains some experiences and becomes a better QB, the Jets will be a top tier team.

Jets fans should thank Norv Turner for being Norv Turner and the Chargers players for making the same bonehead mistakes they have been making since the Schottenheimer years.

It was also nice to see the REAL Cowboys show up today.

Jets vs. Saints
Jets vs. Favre
Manning vs. Saints
Manning vs. Favre

Which of these matchups does the NFL want to happen? Rank them from #1 to #4.

Jets vs Favre.

Jets because they are from NY and the NFL can sell the story of them facing their former QB in Favre.

Vikings because Favre is pushing 50 and they can sell it off as the HOF going for one last SB.

For the three other major sports, I would say that a New York team being in the championship game would be a dream come true. With how wildly popular the Super Bowl is, though, I don't think they would care that much. I'd go with the Manning/Favre match-up.

Brad Childress is a classless prick:

"Just staying aggressive with it, if you will," Childress said after the game. "We put our defense back on the field and we talked to all the coordinators -- offense, defense, special-teams guys-- that we weren't going to put the field goal group on the field.

"As Lou Holtz used to say, 'It's our job to score points. It's their job to stop us from scoring points.' That happens. It wasn't rubbing it in. It's just taking care of business and being aggressive at the end of the game."

I hate that asshole so much.

yeah, I've got to agree - there's no such thing as running it up in professional sports. If you don't like it then man up and make a stop.

You dont want the other team to score points, stop them. Like others have said, it's pro ball not pop warner. Another mentality is that I'll stop trying to score when you stop trying to score at the end of the game.

Who are you, and why do you hate the are you so jealous of the Vikings?

I definitely don't like the idea that there shouldn't be any sportsmanship in professional athletics. If it should exist anywhere, it's there. There's no need to run up scores. It doesn't prove any points except to make fans feel all bubbly and to pad the stats of egomaniacs, like Brett Favre.

There have been bigger comebacks in the playoffs... Put points on the board and don't ever stop, keep your foot on their throat.

Its the PLAYOFFS. There is no taking out your QB in the 3rd quarter because you're up by 3 touchdowns. I find that silly in the regular season.

I don't see the issue with playing hard until the end, but I don't think it's necessary to throw a touchdown pass with under two minutes to go. I kind of doubt they were coming back at that point.

Once again, Mr. Hall O Fame Lock doesnt show up at all for a big game. Call this $$$$a casper because when the game is on the line he is straight ghost.

You guys know me, you know that I have always said that LDT was extremely over rated and you need to understand the difference between a Stat back and a winning back. What did he rush for today? 30 yards?

Remember this guy is suppose to be a HOF Lock...LOCK. Not 2nd or 3rd ballot. HOF locks produce no matter what. No excuses.....Michael Jordan score 45 with the flue and a bum leg. LDT misses most season with a toe injury, gets his spot ran by Michael Turner comes back just to get his sprt ran again by Darren Sprioles.

LDT = Karl Malone.

When it's playoff time, LT is infamous for performing poorly or being injured. Simply put, he's a choke artist. Also, Chargers aren't going to win a Super Bowl with Norv Turner as head coach. The man had horrendous records in Washington and Oakland.

Karl Malone is nothing like LT. He has led his team twice to the finals. If you group Karl next to LT, you might as well throw in first ballot Hall of Famers Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton as crunch time failures too.

As for San Diego sports fans, there is too much heartache in this city. '95 Chargers-49ers Super Bowl? Blowout. '98 Padres-Yankees World Series? Swept. Hopefully, one of these team will bring a championship to my hometown. According to Wikipedia:
San Diego has the largest championship drought in the nation with at least two major-league sports franchises; dating back to 1963 (45 Years as of 2008), as well as being the largest United States city to have not won a Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals or any other Major League sports championship.

Yeah, it's just jealousy.

Vikings fans are terrible. A large majority are bandwagon fans. There some near blackouts in the 2007 and 2008 season

I don't like Brad Childress. He tries to pass himself as highly intelligent, but Tavaris Jackson proves he's a moron. I hate his stupid beard, his special headset, and he looks like a pedophile.

I hate Brett Favre and his retirement drama from the past 5 years(and more will come this off-season). He's a whiny bitch who circumvented NFL rules and the league turned a blind eye to it.

I live in MN, and I don't want a statewide sales tax passed to build them a stadium.

I wish I could hate Nate Kaeding to death. Yesterday was far from the first time that he cost the Chargers big.

Other than that, pretty awesome play by the Jets. Someone on here asked which team would be the team of the next decade. With their defense and rookies like Sanchez and Greene, the Jets could be that team.

At this point I guess I'm pulling for the Vikings to win the Superbowl. More than that, I want to see the Colts go down to the team they allowed into the playoffs.

Oh my god, are you really going on about this again?

Bandwagon fans happen in every sport, with every team. It doesn't matter how hot you were, when you start down a losing road, fans lose interest. Vikings may have had close blackouts but there hasn't been one in a long damn time.

The rest of your whining is just not even worth touching on. There's not really any reason to debate a "stupid headset, stupid beard, and looking like a pedophile" because it's a juvenile complaint about someone.

Yeah I think it's more fairweather fans than bandwagon fans.

I mean I've been Raiders fan since the late 80s when I was old enough to start really getting into sports. They're still my team, but I certainly haven't followed them nearly as closely the past several years as I did in the past.

Fairweather fans are just more into their team win they're winning and pay less attention when they're not. Bandwagon fans just root for whatever team is successful and switch teams often, haven't been fans of any team for a long period of time etc.

to be fair it seems like there has been a lot of poor kicking these playoffs, not just kaeding. even though a FG is only 3 points, missing one can be a huge motivation swing. you give the team good field position and if they score a td its a 10 point swing in a few minutes.

I picked all 4 games in the wild card round and only got one right yesterday (Minnesota). Go figure. I really really really want the Jets to knock off the Colts. And then I want the Jets to knock off the Vikings in the SB. The ironing would be delicious.

Manning vs Farve

Jets are starting to look like the Ravens 01 and especially the of Steelers 06(rookie qb, good d, good running game, coach in his first year, wildcard team). Granted we'll know more if they can beat the Colts again(granted being a Colts fan I'm hoping the Cinderella story ends on Sunday).
