F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Really? Post the link you go to when checking the Warehouse.

I go here.

Sorry for the annoying questions. Kinda new to this warehouse stuff. :(
Well it's just that this question was just asked a page or so back. Anyway if you go there and click on the video game link, you should see the number of results. It'll say "Showing 1- 24 of 3,467 results" or something similar. When that number jumps up you'll know there was a restock.
Was going to grab that 3DsS XL, then remembered that I don't want a 3DS.
I do that with the Vita all the time. You DO want a 3DS though, you just don't realize it yet. You haven't really lived if you haven't played Luigi's Mansion.
Hmm... Do I want Crysis 2?
If you have a high powered PC and played Crysis 1 (and the equally excellent Warhead), then you'll be entertained but mildly disappointed by the sequel on consoles. Crysis 1 is definitely a better game (despite the absolutely horrible Securom DRM that Crytek decided to use at the time which only encouraged people to crack it...but that's another discussion which says nothing of the quality of the game itself). That said, Crysis 2 is a good game that looks about as good as it possibly can on the current gen consoles (which is to say its mighty impressive if you're not spoiled by a PC). It had some launch bugs which Crytek fixed with a couple patches. And at less than $10 I'd say you'll definitely have a great time and more than get your money's worth. While Crysis 1 had a smarter, more cerebral plot, Crysis 2 is the equivalent of a big, dumb, Hollywood movie with a huge budget and so-so writing. That's not necessarily a bad thing if all you want to do is kill some aliens in a beautiful looking environment and aren't expecting this to be another Half-Life 2. Go in understanding you paid a bargain price and you'll love it...assuming you like FPS shooters.

For anyone wanting this, you can get it cheaper on eBay. I can't post the link since I'm too new here, but there's someone selling brand new copies for $11.75 BIN. I offered $10 and they took it.

It's too bad that $20 trade-in promo won't work on AWD games, or I'd be all over that PS3 Tomb Raider for under $10.... Played and beat it via Gamefly and need to have it now.

I have both an as a system I like the Vita so much more than the 3DS, only problem is, Vita has like 3-5 good games whereas the 3DS has like 100 lol

Also, picked up that Silent Hill PS1 (LN) for $22.XX or whatever, figured I might as well since I've been meaning to get ahold of another copy of that.

A lot of JRPG stuff I wanted, but not willing to pay a lot for right now :(

Hey, just a heads up. Be careful with that LN Halo: Anniversary. I ordered one last week and when it arrived it was in a clear slim case with no cover or instructions; also, this being the biggest thing, the game was Halo.....for the original Xbox.

I immediately returned. So be wary that it might be floating around in their system. I'll post some pics later.

All vita games seem to retain their value. There are plenty of bad ones, sure, but it seems like none of them want to drop below $20 on sale, or $10 on clearance.
How is Acceptable condition usually for controllers?
When you buy any item in acceptable condition you have to assume it will be pretty rough, it is the lowest grade quality. However i have heard of plenty of people getting acceptable controllers and they were actually new with damaged packaging. And there have been a bunch of people who've had to return very good and like new ones because they didn't work. So it's kind of a crap shoot.

Is there some sort of a "fad" right now? I was wondering why some gamecube games have skyrocketed in price as of late.

Both of mine that I ordered work fine and feel very solid. There's some minor cosmetic defects, but that's all. I've had more trouble with mislabeled "like new" controllers.

Maybe it has something to do with Gamestop clearing out their inventory. People get antsy when an avenue for sale dries up? Just a guess.

A quick look at videogamepricecharts.com shows that on average, Gamecube game prices have risen about 25% or so since last fall. These games are still a pretty good bargain right now and will probably only go up in value since the values bottomed out over the past couple years. There really aren't many "super expensive" games over $70 but there are quite a few in the 30-50 range now that used to be cheaper such as Luigi's Mansion and Zelda Windwaker and with supplies at Gamestop drying out, I think we are starting to see the effects...

I think Wind Waker will drop as soon as the HD remake comes out. Hehe, don't think Luigi's Mansion will be reprinted or HD remade anytime soon.

So glade i bought my black label complete from little girls that were trading it into gamestop. TIV was 2 dollars credit. I offered a 2 dollar bill I had lying around in my wallet on the spot as soon as I heard the clerk said they were getting 2 dollars for it. :)

Picked up Darksiders, thanks! I told myself I'd get it when I could for less than $7.50. I saw it a while ago for $7.7X and it made my heart break, so I'm glad I held off :D Still waiting on Crysis 3 to fall below $20.

I always find it sad that kids are the ones who restock Gamestop for almost nothing. Some kid was trading in some games last week and I would have bought them from him, but he was trying to impress the female employee.

Games do change in price when another version is released, but we don't know which way it goes. It's bizarre.
