"Christmas" is a retarded name for a kid.
Ridiculous amount of suspension of disbelief in the wrong way. I mean, I could watch an anime about a dragon who is the king of Candy Isle and not fazed at all, but when you're messing with the show's continuity itself, well... Case in point: Christmas and her interactions with society. What she knows and doesn't know about how to act is completely arbitrary. She knows how to buy things without being told, but has no concept of social relations. This doesn't make sense for the second half of a transdimensional entity made of energy who obviously had existed for a long

ing time. About the only thing I could accept as a legitimate explanation for this is that Kurau is a sick girl who imposed her view of what a partner should be like upon the consciousness of her pair when her pair was awakened. Otherwise, there is just such a strong disconnect that it's crazy.
Kurau's abilities seem to be random as well. Even when she's all weak, she can activate them no problem, and as I mentioned before, in episode 5 Kurau comes up to Christmas all weak-like and then eats an apple. With this sudden burst of strength she goes off to fight the robot, then absorbs his powers (which were inside her originally), and comes limping back in pain. This does not make sense.
Kurau's dad is extremely

ed up. In the beginning few episodes, he eventually comes to the realization that Kurau is his actual daughter. But then he continues on with the experiments and gets his arm cut off as a result. In episode 5 (or 6), he ends up working for his former subordinate who is quite a douche and is obsessed with killing off other energy beings like Kurau. This is after he states he's going to do his best to protect Kurau (after being visited by a government agent who shows him pictures of Kurau). Father of the

ing Year.
Kurau's relationship with Christmas shows her to be a needy little bitch who has no concept of what her pair is thinking or feeling. Really? We're supposed to believe you're an energy being whose life is connected to your pair, but you treat her like a little kid and have no concept of what she's going through? As she pushes her ideals of "must get separation anxiety" on Christmas, she's the one who goes through that the most. This is shown as before every mission she tells Christmas not to worry, not to be afraid, and Christmas just doesn't give a

. Then when Christmas goes out to buy food, Kurau flips the

out. Not

ing sense this make does.
Kurau's relationship with her father is

ed up too. She mentions she wants to die (in episode 5 or 6, I believe) so that her father can have his daughter back, whilst being completely unaware he already accepted her as his daughter (though as mentioned before, he's a shitty-ass dad). I guess this isn't a fault of the show so much as something that's a character fault, but still. Seems forced as

. I don't know anyone who'd kill themselves just to make their father smile once.
I guess this wasn't really tl;dr so much as th;du (too hard; didn't understand)
