Now, when we post these, are we locked in at these stats for any tourney? Or can we improve as much as we want offline in career mode?[/QUOTE]
This is a very good point. I took these rules from OS and think it could be used/adapted. I would be willing to help CAGLeagueSports if you need.
Teams - Teams will be broken down into two teams of 16. There will be TEAM EAST and TEAM WEST. Players will be placed on teams by timezones to try and make scheduling fights easier.
League Overview - Each team will consist of 16 members. Each member drafts(see draft rules) 1 fighter in each weight class. Each fighter will fight 15 fights in each weight class. Everyone will fight every member of your team once in each weight class. Once the season ends and the scores (see scoring) are added up, the top point rated fighter in each weight class will battle the opposing teams top point fighter. So at the end of the season their will be 5 championship fights (one for each weight class). These championship fights will consist of 5 - 5 min rounds.
Draft - Each division will have its own separate draft. Round 1 will start with the heavy weight division and work its way down to the light weight division. Round 1 draft order will be determined by a random number generator located here
http://www.random.org/ . The Admin of each team will give each member of its team a number. Then use the random number generator. Numbers that appear will correspond with the numbers given to the members. This will determine the first round draft order.
From round 2 to round 5. The rest of the draft will snake through. So who ever had first pick in round 1 will have last pick in round two. Then so on through the remaining 4 rounds.
Scoring System
KO/TKO/Submission/Unanimous Decision
Winner - 4 points
Loser - 0 points
Major decision (2 judges same fighter, 1 judge scores it draw)
Winner - 3 points
Loser - 1 point
Split Decision (2 judges same fighter, 1 judge other fighter)
Winner - 2 points
Loser - 1 point
Draw
Both fighters - 1 point
Surviving a match will result in a point win or lose.
Schedule - Schedules will be assigned by the Admin of each team. Schedules will be posted before the start of week 1.
Team Admins - Each team will have 1 admin to handle all the league duties. Such as Drafts, scheduling, problems & issues, etc. All concerns and questions should be sent to your Teams Admin.
Championship Fights - Each weight division will have a championship ship between the top point scores from each team. They will be 5 - 5 min round fights.
Scheduling & League Length Update
- League will last roughly 4 months.
- Schedules will have you facing 1 opponent a week.
- You will have 5 fights in that week. You fight that opponent in each weight class for that week.
- So if each fight goes the full 15 min you are looking at a max play through time of 1hr 30min for all 5 of yall fights.
- So you will face 4 opponents in a month.
- That is 20 fights a month.
Example of a schedule and fights
Week 1 - Team 1 vs Team 2
We would fight our Heavy weight, Light heavy, Middle weight, Welter weight and Light weight fights in week 1.
Matches are fast so playing through all 5 fights in 1 sitting is not that hard considering like mentioning the max it can take is hour and a half. But fights can be broken down through out that week if need be.
Week 2 - Team 1 vs Team 3
Same thing as above. This continues, so each week you face a new person off of CAG.
