there's supposedly confirmation on what was in all of them, but I don't see it there at all. According to the facebook page, there were some packages with a special never announced reward as well.
The confirmation is the fact that those are all the items possible (Syncs with neogaf too), with the exception of the "Mario 3DS case". Naturally this seems logical for it to be the mystery item as it is the only missing item, we know it exists and we only got Luigi in the US.
Mario & Peach boxes are much better than the rest.. so uneven..
Almost unbelievable how lopsided those boxes are compared to the rest. Should have at least put the mario hat ds case in the yoshi/goomba boxes to balance it a bit.

I think you mean the Luigi Box. >_>
Holy fuck at the Peach box.

Yea, that was a hot one. What is that? 6-7x the cost in coins?
Wait...what are we talking about? ;)

I'm 40 points away from Platinum now.

If I were to purchase 4 NES games from the Virtual Console service, I'd get 40 points in post play surveys, correct?

I might order another one since my first one is almost full. It would be cool to get 4 and use all the different inserts.

That is exactly what I did :) I ordered one months ago when it was first available and I have been itching to order several more since I received my original case. I ended up ordering 3 this morning so that I will be able to have all four inserts viewable, while having enough room for all of my DS and 3DS games. I will likely store away my original DS and 3DS cases now and just leave these out, which will help clean the clutter and provide convenient access to all of my games :)
I bumped myself up to 250 coins from 0 and ordered to go back to 0.
Even after ordering, I still have 1870 coins. I have a stack of codes waiting to be entered, but waiting for the annual rollover so they'll go towards Platinum status.

I have extra codes for Brawl, MKWii and SMG2, but I don't know how to use them for my current account.

EDIT:
Got a Shipping Confirmation, too.

I just hit gold today. I have a month and a half to get 300 coins for platinum status. I wonder if it's worth it. Shame I can't register my European Xenoblade and others, I'd be half way there.

What Nintendo games are going to come out before the end of the club year?

Not sure. Will Pikmin 2 make the cutoff date?

If so, I'll have my last 50 points.

Edit -- The U.S. release of Pikmin 2 for Nintendo's Wii console is now set for June 10, 2012, a morning press release confirms.

fuck yes. There's also another new Nintendo Select as well.
I ordered one too! Thanks for the heads up!

I am still debating Urban Championship 3D...
The only feedback I've heard about Urban Champion is negative. I would avoid it.

I have some post play to do's that expire Feb 7, Feb 14, Mar 20, etc. Does that mean they expire next year? It's weird because they are for games like Elite Beat Agents and Big Brain Academy that I registered like 2 years ago.

I'm bummed I missed the mystery boxes. That will teach me to check CAG more often.

Those post play surveys should expire next year if you registered the game before May 2010. Anything that was registered before they changed the rules had something like a 3 year window, when now they only have 120 days.

I emailed them just after the site redesign asking about the year on the expiry date disappearing and they told me:

It’s important to note that all new post-play surveys given out since May of 2010 expire 120 days after registration. In most cases, the survey expiration date will be the month that is listed.

I imagine that Nintendo found people were hoarding post play surveys after achieving platinum status to count towards the next year status.

Nintendo is considering an alternative registration system for Club Nintendo, which would do away with registration cards, as revealed by a patent application published today.

The registration codes would instead be printed right on the box. The hope is that more people would register their products instead of missing or losing the inserts.

While printing the code on the exterior could lead to fraud, Nintendo envisions a system where all registrations are tracked with purchase information. If an account has several duplicate registrations, the customer's account is flagged and potentially revoked. An example is if a rogue store employee copied and registered serial numbers after selling an item to a customer, but before the customer had a chance to register it.

The system would also tie in with retailers in an attempt to reduce fraud. Upon purchase, the code is scanned into a computer at the retailer. This tells Nintendo that the product was purchased legitimately, which is of special concern in regard to Nintendo point cards. If customers register a product on Club Nintendo but later return it, the Club Nintendo coins for that product are removed from the account. If a customer has already spent those points, he/she will be disallowed from returning the product. The system would require a computer at each retailer to handle scanning and reporting of the serial numbers.

The system patent was applied for on Nov. 15, 2010, and while it includes Wii products as examples, the ideas must have been around for much longer as the application text references the SNES, Game Boy, and Nintendo 64. Nintendo of America was represented in the latest round of patent filings, with Peter J. Junger and Brian Cheney listed as the system's designers.

I had seen rumblings of the above at NeoGAF, but wasn't able to put all the pieces together, as the Wii U thread over there is partially sentient and was taunting me.

This is like halfway between the "no used games" theories that Microsoft/Sony are throwing around and an incentive program. Don't like it either way. Why would you intentionally make fraud more possible at the expense of trying to harm a marketplace that has its pros and cons? The whole thing just seems silly.

Haven't checked this thread in a while, read back a few pages and decided to get a 3DS game case, the Zelda cover looks awesome. Also, I didn't get a mystery box but would have grabbed a Yoshi and seeing what is in that box makes me a little happier.

The fraud will create a much more complicated problem (esp. given their intricate solution!) than simply accepting the fact that some people hoard a few codes (but eventually redeem them legitimately).

Seriously? It's not like they give away ipads or gold watches
Not being able to register a game would never negate the savings I get from buying used.

I bought it and played it for a good half hour ...it was fun and I like the 3D. You can even change the intensity of the 3D in game, as well as, the angle of the fighting. I'm happy with my purchase.

not picking up the case, because i'd like to get the mario t-shirt. but, i'm waiting until june to see the new batch of games, and if they're good, i'll get them and the case instead.
