The return policy for EBGames.com says 30 days:

It is the EB.com return policy however, but I'm sure it'll hold-up for in-store purchases as well.

(it did come out on the 31st but I didn't pick it up until a few days after)

it may have been accounts recievable, but I thought it was pretty funny
 
Speaking of which, I work in the Accountancy Dept at OU, and my boss asked me to make an Accts Rec. call to some guy who owed money for using some of the facilities or something, and I have to say, making Bill collector calls is a LOT of fun. I absolutely LOVE how people freak out and start yelling when they realize that they have to pay money when they buy something. Timeless.
 
NOw the fun is waiting to monday to see if the orders really go though or all get CANCELLED due to a pricing error. I got 2 51% off target raincheck that expire weds so im going to wait till tueday to see if i get either a Cancell notice or a shipping email

those top 4 games are backordered already... hope they can get them back in, since I really wanted them for cheap too...
 
Has anybody E-mailed Sony and asked them how long till they make good on thier backorder items?

And if they will give it to us for these prices when it does ship?

Burnout 3, Viewtiful Joe, and Phantom Brave backorder notices for me... nothing on ESPN Hockey or Dynasty Warriors (the two games I could easily live without, of course). Hopefully, they will restock the games before 30 days is up, but I have a feeling they're not going to (automatic cancellation after 30 days... read the bottom part of the email).
 
Still haven't gotten a Phantom Brave backorder notice, but I placed mine at 2:06 Eastern, right as I posted the deal here. If mine doesn't go through, then I don't think there's hope for anyone.

Yeah mine said "Processing" and "Sourced" until I got the backorder E-Mail, now it comes up as backordered....
 
Great googily moogily, how are they giving all these so cheap?

Picked up NHL 2K5, Viewtiful Joe, and DW4: Empires. And to think I almost picked up Empires when Fry's had it on sale for $25 a few weeks ago. Glad I held off... :)

I know, as long as I get them EVENTUALLY I don't mind, I have plenty of stuff to play for the time being, and it'd be quite awhile before this stuff got quite that cheap at retail anyway.

i ordered it like at 2 yesterday, and the posts began like at 12. I was probably some of the earliest ppl to have gotten burnout 3, so does back order have any concern to me. they also sent me a notification like 5 minutes after i ordered.

It means they don't actually have any in stock. They've sold them all.

They expect to get more from their supplier. But if the supplier is OOS or won't give it to them for the cheap price then the orders may be cancelled.

Personally, I have DW:4 sourced and PB backordered. I hope that because I have one sourced that means if the other comes through then I'll get first dibs.
 
I ordered Phantom Brave around 7pm EST, my order still says processing but I received a backorder notification *shrug*
 
Man, I did it early but I got a backorder notice, while people getting it after me seem to not have one....wtf?


This just better come through...

You can probably stop posting that now, we get the point. I don't think that any of us are naive enough to think that our orders are sure things. There is, however, still a chance they will honor them. To continuously post that the orders will get cancelled is almost as annoying as the people who no doubt will be pissed off and threaten to boycott and contact the BBB if they do get cancelled.

You are entitled to your opinion, which I admit may be correct, but one post is enough.

This is the first time I've ordered from them. If they cancel my order, I'll simply never order from the again. I don't see how these could be pricing errors since so many game titles are 'sale' priced. Got my fingers crossed. I hope they come thru.

And VGTalk (there is an actual member on the IGN named VGTalk who I guess is the owner who ONLY posts on IGN to post deals that advertise his site and post referral links on deals) posted it on IGN's PS2 board without giving credit to CAG of course.

Last time I tried to report it to the mods on IGN because I explained the only reason VGTalk registered on IGN was to spam the boards to advertise their site and post the referral links and what happened? I got PM's from other users saying how wrong I was to report them because all they are doing is helping out the community by posting these deals. :roll:
 
Ack, all my games are on backorder as well. I read the store policys and they can cancel items backordered after 30 days. After reading this, I expect this will happen to everyone. Some deals are too good to be true I suppose. Has anybodys order actually gone thru or has anyone received their order? Just wondering...
 
Who here has seen Anchorman? Members of Fat Wallet and CAG should have a brawl like the one in that movie. Where can i find a good deal on a spear?
