Well, I've sent out a dickload of cml's for the DC games I want. No one seems to have Jet Grind so I'll probably just swallow the 15 bucks and get it on ebay.

Oh shit, finally won a match. Granted, it was vs. a scrub worse than I but I did most everything right.

Audio Technica is really nice. I have a $300 pair of Audio Technica clip-ons I use as my main pair of headphones.
 
I love my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones. Only $100, and I love them. I prefer a flat response, and they give me just that. They sound much better when they are broken in too.

Spent all day shopping, since it's a 4 hour round trip to get to like real stores. I walked into a Best Buy! Bought very little fun.

So, when I plug my DirecTV DVR into my router, it shuts off the internet. The heck is going on?

Quick, someone describe Yakuza (2)'s gameplay. Not some silly, "Greatest game ever!" thing, but is it a fighting game, is it an adventure game? Anything else comparable to it?
 
I'd been wanting another extendable stylus for my DS Lite after breaking the one that came with Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, but didn't care enough to order one online etc. Stumbled across a 2 pack of hori ones for $5 at Virgin Megastore today and picked up a pack.

Maybe when I'm back home before law school starts I'll start playing again...wait, SFIV. So we'll definitely be closing some....wait, SFIV is all wrestler dudes :(

I love my HD-555s still, though I haven't used them for music or movies as much since I got my Swans-M10s. Great headphones for $100...I'm sure anything in the HD line is as comfortable or better.




and I'm sure you guys already discussed this but SMT:Imagine is a getting a u.s. version. It's free with microtransactions for other stuff, so I'm definitely playing for an evening.

BTW, you know what law school you're going to yet or anything like that? I dunno if you took the LSAT yet and all that, but yeah. I'm curious since Ima be in that situation.. uhm, soon.

I'm gonna be real busy the next week and month pretty much. I'm going to Hong Kong for some work projects so I might not be posting as much (or I will, at weird hours! lol)... But at least in Hong Kong I can play at the arcades/get competition for like every fighting game... :drool:

That's what I'm looking forward to aside from work.

well... I've got 100% in 6 out of 7 arcades now in VF5 on the 360... I got all items, and just need a few more emblems from this last arcade :)

once I'm done with quest mode I'll finish the last remaining achvmnts which will be alot easier. :)
 
With fighters , I admit I lean more towards the showy and flashy end of the scale than to the technical more serious side (finds more fun with the DBZ , Naruto , DOA ect. style games). Part of this simply is because of nobody to play against. If I'm going to be playing against the computer mostly , I'd rather play a game with a lot of flash rather than a game with more substance.

With that said , I totally respect the more series games and I do enjoy them as well. I've been especially into Soul Calibur since the DC days. I like Street Fighter and Tekken alright too. Never really got into Virtua Fighter , but then again never really gave it a chance. I have both VF3 and VF4 EVO that I should play one of these days. I know with competition that there is GGPO , and I should check that out one of these days.

Somewhere in IL is all I know. or Valparaiso. or Madison, if I get lucky (and if I decide not to live in chicago.) Lsat is on oct.4th. fuck.

Man, my laptop is soo bad. It can't load Quicktime videos that are in 720p without freezing and high res movies using WMP or that use Flash stutter like a retard. It's a sign that I should probably take my real computer to school this next week. I would've done it already, but I've been putting off lugging 50lbs of computer to school. It's bulky and it ain't fun.

But if I do that, then I'll have a chance to finally play Bionic Commando Rearmed, which I don't even know how I've not played yet.
 
Hrm... and as it turns out, Silent Hill is only gonna be available via Steam on PC... which pisses me off, because I don't like services that limit your ability to back a game up. I guess I'll just have to save a disk image of it for a backup... goddamn, I hate the future.

The PR Demo's pretty good, one track, three diff vehicles, some new controls I noticed, etc. Overall it's a lot better than the first but still managed to keep the same feel to it imo.

glad to hear that. I liked alot in the first in terms of what they were aiming for, but I never felt like they wanted to do what they wanted exactly... thus I never bought it. I'll get this one once the holiday barrage of games stop since it's going to be released too close to other games I want.

I haven't bought the full game but I've played the demo, will you give me attention?

well, I will say you are missing out on one of the best revives in years. at least get it and then play it later.

if the matter is having enough cash for other things... I understand (same situatuion here... but at least I finally got a job... I start tomorrow mornin)

Bleh, I'll probably pass on this one too then.

I just wish someone would make an offroad racing game with a lot of sim options and a lot of tracks, like a Gran Turismo: Off Road or something. I guess I'll still hold on to my 4x4 Evo 2 for awhile longer.
 
I felt the game part of BCR was worth it, but the challenges really hurt its' value to me. It's not something that should have been added for the sake of competition. The multiplayer mode as well since it's not online. No real point to it.

I'm currently going for the Dedicated Server Trophy in Warhawk. I set it up for all Deathmatches and no one's coming aboard. I thought I'd actually be playing...well, shows how much I know. 3 hours to go.

I don't think I want to get it now to play it later... I'd rather get it then play it.

As for the cash, blame amazon. I got in on the MK Vs DC CE $60 deal, found resistance 2 CE in my goldbox for $76, took advantage of some other games at a discount on pre-order, etc. So I'm pretty tapped as far as it goes for games right now.

Yakuza is growing on me. It kind of sucks, and has some wonky controls, but it is fun bashing the shit out of people. I wish the bats lasted longer. I love me some thug home-runs. If the second Yakuza is more fluid and fighting in groups doesn't mean you can get totally BFed, I might just blind buy it. I am on the fence right now. I am not really enjoying the story. The characters annoy me and the dialog is fucking terrible. Seriously, if you are looking for sailors, the thugs in Yakuza talk like them. I don't mind swearing, but this is just retarded. Similar to the terrorists in Rainbow Six Vegas 1/2. Oh well. It is fun and I am enjoying it. My gripes are minor and nothing from keeping me from enjoying the game. Well the funeral was pretty annoying until I found out what path I should take. I will probably ship this back to GFly and try to get a different game for when I come back from NYC. I am sure I can find Yakuza for cheap around these parts.
 
Yakuza 2 battle system is MUCH better thanks to turn around attacks. Just make sure you hold that R1 and dash around those bitches.

I wish I could play more tonight X_X
 
I probably won't get Left 4 Dead since it requires you to play online. Why? You can't trust Ally A.I. at all in games today.
 
I don't know if I am or not. But if I do, you know it will be on that triple sexy with the sometimes red winking eye. I will at the very least rent it and tell you how bad you suck at games in general. :D JK. But I will rent it.

good mornin GGT... I'm at my new lab job today. I'll be on this computer for the next 12 hours (cept when I have class for 2 hours in a bit). And yes, I can look at porn here at work and it's absolutly ok. no joke.

as for Left 4 Dead, I haven't seen anything in it that reall makes me want it. I'd rather buy 6 XBLA/PSN/VC games than get it to be honest.
 
Just watched the first episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles with my workout this morning. It amazes me that SFX in TV Shows look better than they used to not too long ago in feature films. In fact, comparing the new Knight Rider teasers with Transformers brings the progression even more into view. Crazy!
