"Do you know where I can find some sailors?" I can tell you if you post in GGT #82!

I'll get Left 4 Dead when it's cheap. None of my friends are getting it so it's not a must buy for me.

I'm getting Brothers in Arms for the 360 at the end of this month along with Gears 2 and LittleBigPlanet for the Holidays.

Good morning, GGT. Started Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance yesterday and am underwhelmed so far. It's too easy (playing on Normal). The gameplay mechanics are all right, but a bit simple for my tastes. Also, the cutscenes are sooo long, which is the one thing keeping me from going back and starting over again on Hard. Maybe I should do that anyway...

Also, I can't wait for Disgaea DS.

Chac, if your looking for headphone reccomendations, ask Ty at AoD. He knows whats up.
Also, updating all the way up to 2.1 should help you Jesus. Make sure to install apps like Facebook (if you have it) from the appstore, because you can talk to anybody (with a wifi connection) on facebook like you would on MSN or AIM with it. ITS SO BALLIN. Also get the AIM app if you have AIM. The "Remote" app is also so cool it hurts. You can control your itunes with your ipod touch!

As for videos, updating to 2.1 should help. I couldn't figure out music videos (I have about 20 that came with albums, 12 from the Maroon 5 live CD!!) but when I went to the movies tab on the ipod touch, and there was an option that said "sync music videos" so I did, and BAM they were all on my ipod.
Good night GGT. I just played a bunch of SCIV and nothing else. I've been up for 24 hours, so I should go to bed soon. ;)
ur starting to have the same sleep patterns as me... then again you always have been up late when I'm up.
campy, shitty dialogue

oh yeah the random crashing didn't help either
They definitely fixed both of those things. Like, they rerecorded all of the dialog, fixed the script, and fixed the crash bugs. THe patches for that game were like 1GB, so that stuff must've been kinda a mess before for them to rip up the game like that.
For future reference, is anyone here picking up Left4Dead? On the 360 to be specific.
I'm definitely getting L4D. I can't fucking wait for that game.
Wait... what? WHAT?@!?!?

I'm ignoring your posts until you say you beat it.
Yeah, man... I've been waiting for a decent opportunity to play the game on my real computer, but since I was in Florida when the game came out and had to go to school like a day after I got back and didn't bring my desktop with, I didn't really have a decent chance. But I'm going to fix that, don't worry. I really, really want to play the game.
 whatever makes you happy. I don't want to force my opinions on people anyway... plus that video was not that great anyway, I jsut wanted an excuse to post it.

going to bed now... gotta get up in less than 4 hours for work... ie. sit in front of a mac all day, do nothing, and get paid.
sounds like you have it made.

I live in north miami beach, where do you live?

Looks like might be getting a new TV. I have some lamp flashing and the screen flickers in the top right corner. I thought this was only on my PC, but my 360 is doing this as well. I am going to get it looked at when I get back from NYC. I am excited. I hope I get to get my money back and search for a new TV! I am happy with this TV, but I just like getting new electronics. I think I will go LCD next time. If I can get one over 40" that isn't a Shizio or an entry level HDTV. Samsung or bust!

I am charging up my handhelds today for my plane ride. I will probably use my PSP as an MP3 player and have my DS as my entertainment. Hopefully will get past the openning movie in FFIVDS!
Someone tried arguing with MarkMan about fighting games? I didn't think anyone would dare to since MarkMan's... you know... like... never wrong.

As a side comment, while DOA's gameplay is pretty 'blah' in generally, I have the most fun with it. Keep in mind, I said fun, like... enjoyment. It's in no way better than any of the other 3D fighting games like SC, Tekken or VF.
That's exactly what I said. DOA is loads more entertaining and I never said it was a more tactical fighter. But it is WAY more entertaining and hence better as my preference where fighting games go.

If I really want to get technical, i'll play SF2 or SC but like you said, they're boring as hell without friends.

you're wasting your psp as an mp3 player? you can get a 2gb thumbsized mp3 player with screen for like $10...

Back OT, played almost all through Castle Crashers last night again in some local multiplayer with a friend. That game is so god damn fun. Got work today and with the hurricane going to pass over us, the mall is going to be pretty damn dead. Looks like more FFIV DS action.

I'll post my opinion when I feel like it and there's nothing you can do about it.

don't you have more important things to worry about, like a hurricane? Instead of what a guy does on a gaming forum?

guess not.

I may give Alone in the Dark a try on the PS3. Sounds like they've fixed many of the gripes I've heard about it, and except for those gripes, I hear it was pretty good. I'll probably hold off until after the first of the year tho. Too much to buy this year. We all know October is gonna be hell on the wallet.

Played a bit more FFX-2. I really like the class switching aspect and how you gain your abilities. I wish they would incorperate something like this into the next FF Tactics, instead of having to equip certain weapons to gain the abilities. That's my biggest gripe for the FFTA games.

Are you determined to piss off everyone in this thread? Or is it your goal to come into an with well established members and start threadcrapping like you've been here the whole damn time?

Keep your asinine comments to yourself. And stop provoking people, that's a good way get yourself kicked outta here.

gee, i wonder why you don't have any friends.

ZING

seriously though, all fighting games are boring without friends

uh, why are the threads in alphabetical order?

edit: i guess they're not.

anyway.

i suck at soul calibur.

Damn those madcatz SF4 sticks actually look AWESOME. The art and the build quality!

http://kotaku.com/5049022/mad-catz-street-fighter-iv-sticks-under-glass

Who knew something so bad ass could come from Madcatz... AT A GAMESTOP EXPO??

I think I'll still be sticking with that saturn USB controller, because I prefer a AAA dpad over a AAA stick, due to cost, size, and familiarity.

Yakuza rocks! It freezes randomly on my 80GB but I'm still trying to play it. I got drunk off expensive scotch and blew all my money at the roulette tables. Then some chick tried to scam me with sleeping pills in my drink, so I killed everyone in the bar. I had no idea it was like Jade Empire/Biowareish with RPG elements in it.

Yeah, it's weird, but Madcatz has been awesome so far this gen. I love their PS3 controller more than the official one. Better triggers and better shape.

And yeah, Yakuza is awesome. Be sure to grab the 2nd when you beat that one. It's better in just about every way.

God damn university sucking the free time out of my life. :(

I'll finally have time to play some of the games I got from gog.com, and hopefully squeeze in some Invisible War time.

College is giving me way more time than I know what to do with. I should be able to fill that time with Yakuza 2 and Bionic Commando Rearmed next week.

I don't wanna take it nice and slow

wanna get ready to go

on the GGT

Yeah I have Yakuza 2, still sealed, waiting to finish the first one.

I did see it at best buy today for you folks not wanting to support the evil empire. I had about 27 shamebucks to get rid of so I bought Yakuza 2 at gamestop. I think I might put up a blog post this weekend for my new room setup/collection with pics. Or do weekly pickup posts. That could be fun.

I believe that the episode of Kitchen Nightmares I was a Production Assistant on is on next week. The New York episode was this week, and that's where the crew was before then. It's in South Bend, IN at J.Willys. Gordon saves nuns and priests from notre dame from bad food and visits the college football hall of fame.

I think I'll be trying to finish Syphon Filter: Logans shadow today. Chapter 6, Part 1.
Its very difficult at this point.
I also think I'll be making progress in various PSP/DS games today.

Nice! on that Kitchen Nightmares ish. I love the show. I prefer the UK one just because it's more serious bidniss, but I like seeing the dirty ass kitchens in the US show.
never liked zombies myself to be honest... more of a dog person.
Psh, at least zombies are easier to take care of. Tear off your arm, give it to them and they're good for a week.
Sweet. Wipeout HD will cost $20.
Nice! Now that's affordable.

So it'll cost a total of $108 to fix my 360. And it'll take about 2 weeks to get it done... I'm willing to bet that my new HDTV explodes just as I get my 360 back.

getting MS to fix your 360 - $108
fixing it yourself - $1
killing the guy who made this joke - priceless

Taking a break from gaming this weekend. Heading home from school to be with my lady and go to the local fair. A break will do me some good though. Tuesday though.... oh man...
Yeah, man, that shit doesn't sound fun. Actually, it sounds like suck. I don't wanna do it :(
A word of advice: whenever you plan to take it, you may as well start studying and reading up on the question types now. The actual questions are different every time, of course, but the question types stay the same. Aside from occasional additions that aren't too radically different from the rest of the stuff.

If you haven't taken a formal logic class and don't plan to, then I would definitely start studying now. Order some practice tests from LSAC and a general LSAT book from Kaplan (princeton review sucks.)
ah crap, the arcade stick stuff is all over the net now... my work day is gonna get longer -_- lol
I seem to be the only one who cares about the gamepad.

except for the fact that messing up would cost me $200... You cool kids can do your DIY fixes. I'm willing to let someone else do the work for me.

Wow, for $200 I'd just buy another one. 360s are apparently dropping in price like DVD players did. >_<

I'm really enjoying ToV--actually didn't play any Warhammer Online beta as a result.

I'm cool? Awesome, you hear that GGT? I'm cool! *pulls out a hammer and smashes my 360* Good as new! I are awesome!
Fixing the 360 will be cheaper. And I really don't have the money to pick a new one right now anyway...
Really? You can hold onto your HDD and pick up new arcade bundle for $199.99.

I think Sony really has a great price model going for the PSN. Far superior to MS's tollbooth of a marketplace, anyway.

Been playing a LOT of FFXI, and really just a lot of everything. Been gaming quite a bit lately, and I have no problems with that at all. :D In fact, just yesterday I decided to beef up my 360 library with Braid, N+, and Rez HD. Spent maybe a little too much, but hey, I've got enough games for a couple weeks at least.

Fixing it will cost me $100 plus tax. Buying a new one will cost about $200 plus tax.
