This may be extended until 07/13/07, according to this post from Scorch, which needs confirmation that he should get later today:
My manager said that since the flyer says 7/13, we'll honor that. If the coupon stops working, we'll do it manually. This is probably just for my store.
These flyers arrived today at the store, I think they're meant to be put out Monday.

THESE DEALS ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE! SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS!

***B2G1F on all "e" (used) rated games.

***B2G1F on all (used) XBox titles.

(of course, usual "equal or less" rule applies here)

***50% more trade in credit~! This applies ONLY to 360, PS3, Wii, DS and PSP games. Basically, bring in two (and two only) of your games and receive an additional 50% in credit towards your purchase. This DOES NOT stack with MVP.

If I am reading this correctly, according to this flyer, here's some of the trade-in prices AFTER the 50%:

Guitar Hero 2 (360) - $66
Command and Conquer 3 (360) - $45

This is only if they don't lower the trade-in values in anticipation of this promotion, though. If they don't, the 50% more thing will be MASSIVE profit for the customers (especially those of you who bought Tony Hawk at Costco).

As a side note, the prices for Ant Bully (Wii), Blitz The League (X360), Happy Feet (Wii), and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (X360) all went back up. This could be temporary, but for now, Ant Bully is 29.99/24.99, Blitz is 19.99/14.99, and both Happy Feet and Grim Adventures are 29.99/24.99. The same thing happened with Far Cry. It went down to 19.99/14.99, then back up to 49.99/44.99, then back down again to 19.99/14.99. It may be temporary and the prices may drop back down, I'll post if they do.

//edit: Also, there's one misprint in the flyer. It says Resident Evil 4 Wii is 49.99. This is not the case. It is 29.99.

Can anyone confirm Harvest Moon DS at BB for $10 this week? It's not listed on the website. Also, anyone know what they'll give me for WiiPlay? Has anyone tried trading in multiple copies of one game? When you trade in a new game should you trade it in shrink wrapped or open it? LOTS OF QUESTIONS!!!

Oh and PLEASE can we start a list of games that cost less than they trade for?

I can help you with the first question. Yes it is still 9.99 at BB.

I think Harvest Moon is either a frontlane game or going to be very limited. Wasn't it one of the clearance games from a few months back? In other words, seems very unlikely you'll find it at any particular BB.

Don't trade multiples at the same time - spread them out (different stores or at least at different times). And OPEN them first!

FINALLY!
I called a store in another city and confirmed that they were running the sale. I got the local store to call that store and they got the coupon codes and entered them manually to accept the sale.
I traded:
Tony Hawk Downhill 30.10
Diddy Kong DS 20.46
Big Brain DS 10.50
Clubhouse Games DS 18.00

Got lots of XBOX b2g1 and Wii RE4 and Big Brain Academy

Nice deal!
Elite beat agents 22.50
Feel the magic 7.50
Lost in blue 2 19.10
Castlevania Dawn of sorrow (konami hits edition) 15.00

Didin't find much to buy but they did have a complete copy of suikoden 3 for 7.99

Xbox 360:
Forza 2 - $45
Command & Conquer 3 - $45
Live Arcade - $27.27

DS:
Polarium - $9

Awesome deal, since I picked up all the 360 games during the B2G1F (not all in one grouping though). Basically made the free game even more free, and I got to play them for a week and a half. :)

Thanks Scorch!

Found out why my GC wasn't answering the phone. They are moving locations and wont be open for a 5 days!!! I made a 20 mile trip and was so bummed out.

made a good trip today,
Traded in:(all after the 50% more)
PSP
guilty Gear $16.5
Dynasty warriors (I got it from kamrt for $4 or $5) $15

Wii,
Meet the robinsons $27

Xbox360

xbox live arcade unplugged $27.27

DS
Deep labyrinth $10.50
Snood 2 on vacation $9.75
Pac-pix $9

I was not force to buy any new games, anyway, I bought some games.

I don't think it's been mentioned specifically in this thread, but I'm guessing that handhelds and consoles are excluded from this offer?

Do you need to be 18 to trade in games? I remember trying to trade in a game a while back and they said I needed to have someone over 18 to do the trade for me (I'm only 17). I want to make sure it's cool before I go tomorrow.

3 more trade in values

DS
Gunpey $10

Wii
Tony Hawk Downhill Jam $25
Super Paper Mario $30
Mario Party 8 $25

PS3
MLB 07 The Show $30 (this didn't count towards the deal since it was a sports title)

No signs or anything up in my GC, hmm. Well there isn't even the 2 for 5 classic plastic either. :( Ill check back tomorrow
I just called them and ask about the promotion and they said it doesn't work. They got a call earlier about it too. I told him to check that code, which the guy was excited that I had but it doesn't work. I got the manager, who was also unsuccessful.:bomb:

I was hoping to trade in some crappy old games for RE4 Wii but no go for now I guess.
They entered it wrong, then. I called tech yesterday and he confirmed that the deal is active for every single store.

awsome but did they reduce trade in values since the deal is not active?

Trade-In values were NOT reduced. And the deal is active, you dolt.

I got a confirmed end date: July 1st.

Do you need to be 18 to trade in games? I remember trying to trade in a game a while back and they said I needed to have someone over 18 to do the trade for me (I'm only 17). I want to make sure it's cool before I go tomorrow.

Yes, 18.

Just a Q. Do you need to be a member of Game Crazy to be able to trade stuff in?

Yes, but to become a "member", all you have to do is give your phone number and allow us to enter driver's license or ID information in the computer.

Hmmmmm my store is giving 50% on PS2 games as well. Store is in Rosemead, California.

A local store near me is as well. Helps out the MVP numbers. As always, YMMV. I had one guy tonight.. traded in 6 360 games. After the trade in credit and an MVP, he had 76 in credit.. after the bonus, he had 125! He was so happy I thought he was going to hug me. It was pretty scary, actually.

No signs or anything up in my GC, hmm. Well there isn't even the 2 for 5 classic plastic either. :( Ill check back tomorrow

There's no signs up because none were sent out to put up.

Yes, you need a membership to get the 50% (at least the guy at my GC made me buy a membership, but it was totally worth it)

Here was my trades (all prices after 50% bump):

Wii
Tony Hawk Downhill Jam - $38.18
Bust A Move - $22.50

PS3
Tony Hawk Project 8 - $47.73

PSP
Y's Ark - $12.00

Got RE4 Wii for $25 after $5 new member discount and ended up w/ a gift card for $73. :)

You don't need to buy an MVP card to get the bonus? The guy at my store made me buy an MVP card for $20 to get the 50%. I still made out pretty well, even after the $20, but still, would have been nice to have another $20 in credit

You don't have to, but at the same time, you won't regret it, trust me. You'll save a ton of money in the long run. I'm signing people up when they get the deal as well.

//edit: Holy cow @ that price on THP8 on PS3. I think my store only gives $45 post-bonus

I would have signed up if the MVP thing gave you an additional 10% on top of this deal, but as it is, you don't actually get anything extra by getting it if you're just going to be trading in games with this deal. My store's used selection also sucks, so the 10% off on used games isn't much of an incentive either.

Did pretty good..
All prices after bonus

Guilty Gear PSP- $17.50
360 Lego Star Wars 2- $10.50
Wii Godfather- $40.91
DS-Castlevania Portrait of Ruin $24.54

I got RE4 Wii and Paid off Bioshock because both the selection and prices SUCK at gamecrazy. They quoted me $31.49 or some absurdity for a used Ridge Racer on PSP..

Isn't Tekken DR $30 universal now too?

The MVP applies at all stores.

And seriously, you want 60%? How greedy can you get? lol

We only have one GC anywhere near me, is my point.

And yes, I want 60%! ;) Well, not necessarily. I'm just saying that there's really not much of an advantage to getting the MVP in conjunction with this deal.

Soule
Just picked up a couple at BB, it's not a front lane product, it's just regular pricing. The frontlane games have upc stickers over the original UPCs. HM DS isn't on the website anymore.

I have a couple copies of HM so I'm planning to do separate transactions at different stores.

My first trade I didn't open them. Told the guy I have a huge back log (which is true) and I didn't open them. So YMMV I guess.

My haul before +50%:
Trace Memory $4.50
Goldeneye: RA $9.50 \\:D/
Madden 06 $2.75
Castlevania DoS (Konami's Best) $10
Harvest Moon $12
Gunpey PSP $9

I had to buy the MVP. I guess no big deal, I have more stuff to trade in. I'm lucky that my BBs have multiples of the higher trade in stuff to make the $20 insignificant. Hey, I got a magazine subscription out of it.;)

$71.60 total credit minus $20 for MVP. They put the balance on a GC after I asked them about the single store credit thing.

You should check the CAGwiki for trade prices. Not the most up to date but it's a good place to start. I know someone here had updated it the past couple days.

I'll go to the GC and try again tomorrow. I'm not expecting much for the games (maybe $10 at most) but it'll take buying RE4 again all that much easier.

I'll write down and take the code to the store to and have them try it. I know they're not BSing me because they're pretty cool over there.

i would suggest anybody who's willing to part with super paper mario(wii) to trade it in i got 45 for it, a whole 5 bucks less than when i bought it brand new, good deal

How often do the trade in prices change?

I went in today but didn't have all the games I was going to trade in, so they suggested I bring them all in at once so I'd only have to buy 1 new game.
Anyone know what Twilight Princess for Wii gets in trade-in? The wiki says $28, which would be $42 after bonus.
If that price is still valid, it would *not* be $42 after bonus. It would be ($28 / 1.1 ) * 1.5 = $38.18 after the 50% bonus. The wiki prices include the 10% MVP boost.

By the way, I just updated the wiki again. Hopefully I can actually take advantage of this deal.

I'm thinking I'll dump some more expensive Wii games and then just pick them up when they inevitably hit $20 - like Cars, Super Swing Goilf, Rayman Raving Rabbids, etc.. . The first two I think I'll trade to EB for their deal since GC will only give me $52.50 and force me to buy some crappy cheap game. At EB hopefully I can get the Edge card scanned and get a Wii game like Strikers preordered plus an extra $5. But Rayman and some others (mostly PSP and DS stuff) I'll definitely take to Gamecrazy. Oh, I may dump Arcade Unplugged as well and then just pick it up somewhere else for $20 again ;).

For the lazy: http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index.php/Game_Crazy_trade_in_values

I guess it is kind of YMMV when it comes to them making you buy a game. I traded in 4 all at once and they just put it down as store credit on my account. Only thing I ended up walking out of the store with in the end was a 7.99 copy of suikoden 3

Till July 13th if you trade in 2 (or more) games from ur 360, PS3, WII, DS, PSP you get 50% boost on top of the credit you had, when you buy a new game for those systems.

I know for a fact Command & Conquer. I bought used for 50 originally, after my mvp it came down to 45. and the trade in credit is 30 + 50% is exactly what i paid for in the long run.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon Wii - 25 before promo
Armored Core PSP (9.99 at GS) - 14 before promo (highly flippable)
58.60 total. Got Big Brain Academy Wii Degree and got the rest on a gift card.
Kinda late with this d00d. Search function is a great part of this nutritious breakfast.
Or he could have just actually looked on the front page in this board. :p

Some gamecrazy employees are real car salesmen. You shouldn't need an overpriced MVP for this thing. Yeah I know it gives you all that crap, but it's still overpriced, and in my time working there i'd say a good half of the people who bought the MVP never got their subscriptions.

Anyone know the current trade-in values for Bust-a-Move PSP & TMNT for 360? Didn't see TMNT in the wiki, and the price listed for Bust-a-move in there is over a year old. Thanks!

So has anyone confirmed that GRAW2 for 360 is $39.99 new/$34.99 used? My store is saying it's still $59.99/$49.99 in their system? Would love to pick it up if it dropped.
If that price is still valid, it would *not* be $42 after bonus. It would be ($28 / 1.1 ) * 1.5 = $38.18 after the 50% bonus. The wiki prices include the 10% MVP boost.
That is exactly what it traded in for yesterday for me ($38). I'll check my receipt tonight to get the DS games I traded updated on the wiki.

At these prices, I think I'll be trading in SPM and probably Resistance tomorrow (for rainbow six vegas and a bunch of credit), I'll buy them again later when they drop in price.

And many thanks to Scorch, it really helps to have this information in advance.

Nevermind. Finally got a GC employee to clarify the situation. The sale on GRAW 2 ($39.99/$34.99) starts this Saturday (June 23). YMMV if you can get them to give you that price now.

So on saturday, GRAW 2 is available for the sale price? And GoW is around $40 after the 50%. So i can swap Gears for Graw2 straight up, thats awesome

EDIT: Just called the only local gamecrazy and he said he knows nothing of the deal... That sucks

The system does still say 59.99/49.99, but i've been manually marking them down.

Incorrect, the flyer advertises a June 19th start date, I go with that. Sales rarely ever (read: never) start on a Saturday at GC.

Any help for trying to get the deal done at my local GC? I called and the guy on the phone said he had a bunch of barcodes for sale items and there was nothing for that on it.

Thank you

Alright, Scorch sent me some EXACT INSTRUCTIONS for the promo and it still didn't work. I took the printed PM (minus the parts that showed CAG and whatnot) and showed it to him. The guy tried both things and the only thing he found was a 20% bonus on trade-ins towards preorders which starts on the 23rd.

He spent like 25 minutes trying it before I just gave up, took my games, and paid the full price for RE4. The games would've only been $8 (for 4 of them) and $12 after that so I just said whatever.
