If its a plain old Block Buster...no go.

I live in MI, and the 4 GR's ive gone to have had this sale going on with 2 other sales, Buy one, Get 1 %50 off and Trade in any game, get $10 off a 39.99 or more NEW game.

Not all GR's are in on this. Of those that do, the rules vary by compentence.
Hey guys anyone know what they give for NFL street, mario kart double dash or metal gear twin snakes? those three seem to be the only high-profile games left at my gamerush.
I traded in my PS2 NFL Street about a month/month and a half ago and they gave me $20. I think if you see a used game priced at $39.99, the trade in value is $25 and if the price is $32.99 the trade in value is $20, I can't guarantee it 100% of the time but thats always been the case with my experiences there...

hmmmm well in that case looks like im driving 20 minutes to the next closest one...i need some more hitman contracts and transformers. PAPA NEEDS A GBA SP!!!

Hey Nephets, any chance you could help me ask if they have any copies of Samurai Warriors behind the counter the next time you're at the Town East location?

Sure thing. Just know that I probably won't be going to another Game Rush for about a week or two, man, I truly hope this deal is still valid by then... but, I'll ask and check out the stores for you, and then let you know which Game Rush stores have it.

Oh, wow, this is a good deal too, couldn't you basically trade-in 5 bad, cheap games, and get a new game for free (minus tax)? Or could you only trade-in one game?
You can only trade in one for $10 off and even then, its not all new games. They have a lil printout somewhere with about 3-5 games that you could save $10 on...
actually it should be $10 off any new (non-po) title $39.99 and up.which if your looking for something new that isnt PO yet, you can still figure out a deal

Today is the dawn of a new era. I went to EBgames and got jimmy johnson football and two other sports games for a total of 3.50 out of pocket. I went to Gamerush and did the trade in 3 get one for 4.99. My total amount due for NFL Street was .79 cents. Now thats what i call expensive!!

Yesterday I went by Gamestop and bought 10 cheap games...all $4.99 and under (most were $1.99)...and traded them in to get:

Jak II
SC: Pandora Tomorrow
Rainbow Six 3
FF: Crystal Chronicles
Mafia

Total cost after discounts and trade in was $23-something. I spent like $29 at Gamestop. So....$52 for 5 games.

are you guys getting games that are in good shape(box, instructions, disc)? most of the games at the local gamerush look like people wiped their ass with them

you dont need box/instructions when trading in at gamerush. i would just run the disc under some water before you trade em in.

went back last night and got mario party 5, and ridge racer (psx) for $4. thats some crazy shit right there.

yeah i'm talking about the games you're buying..are they with box/manual or what?

i see a lot of them that are beaten up
yeah i'm talking about the games you're buying..are they with box/manual or what?

All the games I've gotten from GameRush have been in awesome condition, almost all of them look brand new with a manual thats never been touched. However, only a few of them came with the original case...

The guy at my gamerush is the freakin man. He actually goes through all the copies of the game I want, finds one with the instructions, then throws it all into a new case (not the crappy blockbuster ones either). If the game has a scratch or two, they usually open a few to find the best one. Every pre-owned game I got there can pass for brand new.

I guess it depends who's willing to help you out. As far as the case issue, they have tons of xbox/ps2/gc cases so it shouldn't be a problem getting one.

All of the games I got are in good shape. One didn't have the manual. But, otherwise, like new.

I'm trying to get ahold of Hitman: Contracts

I have a thread going for helping people take advantage of this if there's no Gamerush near you. Check it out.

what are the highest trade in value games that are on their shelf? like hitman contracts

also does anyone how much mario party 5 can be trdaed in for?

$35 bux trade-in value for Hitman Contracts, Samurai Warriors, and Red Dead Revolver...
anyone know how much trade in credit they give for rogue ops?
A whopping $2 or it might be $3 but I'm pretty sure its $2...
anyone know how much trade in credit they give for rogue ops?
i believe it's $1.50

in one store, i saw it on the shelf for 39.99 and right behind it another copy was marked 6.99..

did anyone in dallas find any of the higher priced trade ins? like hitman contracts, samurai warriors..the two GR's here in richardson said that they were way too new to be available as previously owned

I've found Red Dead Revolver and Hitman Contracts both for Xbox at the location just down the street from Town East Mall in Mesquite. Weird, I live in Richardson but I've been to the Mesquite GameRush more than the two here combined. Haha...

Well, once again, I went to Game Rush (Town East, again). No Samuari Warriors, sorry Polo. :(

I traded in two games.

NCAA Football 2002: costed me 2 bucks.
Rogue Ops: costed me 3 bucks

I then used that to get Metroid: Zero Mission. It's only the game cart, but that's all I need.

So now 5 out of my 6 games I got came out of the Game Rush in Town East, man, that one rules.

I spent about a total of 8 bucks tonight. Man, I'm so abusing Game Rush. This girl who works there (she has red hair and glasses), is probably sick of me by now. :p

i don't know if i want to drive 1/2 hour to that location just to get those two games and try to trade them in...seems a bit far for me

so are you basically trading/rebuying the same copy of hitman contracts over and over again?

heh i know what you mean. When i cashed out today the guy said "your total is 79 cents" i paid him and he said "see you tomorow."

However, this time I promised myself I'd wait about a week or two before heading back, due to me wanting to wait for some games that aren't quite old enough to be considered preowned games.

Summer is a very slow month for games, as publishers wait until the late fall/winter seasons, due to the holidays that approach.

I can only think of about 4 games which are coming out in the next few months that I actually want, and I've seen two of them at Game Rush. I'm hoping to see the other two in less than two-three weeks.

Nope, I just traded for it there once and didn't like the game too much and decided to trade it back over there since they had the GTA Double Pack for Xbox, didn't see that at either Richardson stores nor the Garland one off of Lavon...

Oh and thanks for helping me ask about Samurai Warriors nephets! I'll keep an eye out for Custom Robo at the stores there the next few days before my vacation and if I see it, I'll let ya know asap.

I can't believe I finally found Metroid: Zero Mission tonight. I was telling myself I'd find it, and so far I've found every game in Game Rush that I want. Well, there's still two more I've yet to find: Mario & Donkey Kong and Custom Robo... though, I can understand not finding them yet, they just came out like 2 days ago. If you find a store with Mario & Donkey Kong (GBA) as well, can you tell me which one you find it at? That and Custom Robo are the favors I'm asking of you. :)

Be sure they are pre-owned, though. As I've already seen new copies of Custom Robo show up at Game Rush.

Traded in:
Godzilla (GC): 7
ATV from PS2 bundle : 7
Final Fantasy:CC : 25

Got:
PO Ratchet and clank 2 : 4:99
NEW Eye Toy : 49.99

out of pocket:
$20

im gonna go look like more of an ass now, bye! :)

hmm... I wonder if Gamerush will be getting the NES GBA SP. I wouldn't spend 100 dollars to get another GBA because of the casing, but 20-30 dollars to do so is something else entirely.

Here's my plan to get like 100 dollars credit without spending much money. I plan to go to around 2-3 Game Rushes to complete this transaction.

1. Buy about 6 cheap PSX titles: total amount spent: around 15-20 dollars.

2. Trade-in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (I originally got it for around 6 bucks): get around 25 or so store credit... :?:

3. Take 4 of those titles and trade them in to Game Rush, credit will get brought up as well as me getting 2 preowned games for less than 20 dollars. I plan on getting either two copies of Hitman Contracts, Splinter Cell: PT, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, or NFL Street.

4. Get those 2 games I have, go to another Game Rush, trade in those titles: get a total of about 50 dollars.

5. Trade in the other 2 PSX titles, get another preowned game for less than 9.99: once again, getting any preowned game that sells for more than 25-35 dollars.

6. Go to another Game Rush, trade in that game I just bought, get more credit on the account. Total credit amount now (an estimate): 105 dollars. That's only if each game I got sold for around 35 bucks each.

7. See if anything good is at Game Rush, if not, save credit.

Would that plan work? Is anything wrong with it? Or can someone walk me through how to get over 100 dollars credit by just spending around 30 dollars or so. I know it's possible, but I need guidance before I go out and do that.

Also, which games trade-in for 35 dollars? I know a few do...

Oh and, hmm... I wonder if Gamerush will be getting the NES GBA SP

Why get an SP when the DS is supposidely coming out in November? :?:

nephets, this is how i got 80 dollars in credit.

Started by trading in 2 games (from my collection) and getting hitman contracts for 6.90 out of pocket

then i bought 3 games at gamestop and got nfl street for .79 cents

then i bought another 3 games at gamestop and got mgs twin snakes

i then took those three games to another gamerush.

traded them in and got prince of persia for 5 dollars

at this point i had 80 dollars left on my account

i used that to get a gameboy advance sp

Bump! This is a pretty important thread for those who use Game Rush like I do. :p

Oh, and by the way, does anyone know how much credit I could get from a regular old white GBA? Not an SP, but the original-style...

id guess around 20-25. and yes, this is infact a very important thread..cause i made it.

I went to the west bloomfield GR and picked up a copy of klona 2...and then promptly took it back inside because it looked like a coaster. The other copy was pristine, but now that stores stock of Klona 2 is 0.

BTW...if you like platformers at all...buy Klona 2. Gods gift to people who miss the fun and psuedo 3-d ness of Nights and are getting anoyd with 3-d free-roaming games.

WOW thats a lot of grammer mistakes...fun!

I've used this gamerush deal to get return of the king and deus ex 2 for very little out of pocket. Great Find!

Anyway, I had a question as to the requirements for the trade-ins: does gamerush take trade-in without the case (especially ps1 games, since gameSPOT has a lot of cheap games without the case)? So far all the games traded in have the case so I have to ask.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but i'm too lazy to check 13 pages for the answer! :)

when to pick up a video today an Charlotte NC gamerush's are finally doing this deal. I feel bad, it is almost like stealing IMO. I am all broken up about it.

This pisses me off, I would say this is probably honorable mention for game deal of the year (I would say best buy won it with $5 new games) But, I diodn't get to get in on either deal...
This is still going on?
I really would like to know that as well. :) I think that trade in 3 get it for $5 deal is over though.

I hope the one in Garland is doing this but I'm not even going to bother calling. I'm going to try to go today and report what I had gotten.

When does the Trade In 2 Get a PO for $9.99 end? I've heard the 14th and I've heard the 10th and I've heard "whenever."

Actually I think this was officially done as of June 1st. I was lucky to get in one trade yesterday, but I went back today and they said it was done, the same kid who yesterday said that today (sun) was the last day. I was only able to get the 1 trade in yesterday and then traded it back in (SC: Pandora) for $25 credit applied to Riddick new for 29.99. So I got a hot new game for free (had some credit left from the previous day's trade) and I have $7 in credit left. Heh I may but that towards Eurotrip, great movie....

Just wanted to let people know that the deal is not dead (not EVERYWHERE, at least), as I just bought a couple games for 9.99 at my gamerush.

Confirmed. I asked the cashier at my GameRush when the deal was ending, and she had no expiration date. This deal still has some life to it!
