Not all GR's are in on this. Of those that do, the rules vary by compentence.

My GR did that with Star Ocean, finally a week after the game came out I went up there and said the games been out a week so they dug through all their shelves apparently they misplaced the Star Ocean games when they got them, I was like brgh...thanks I had to wait a week just because it was misplaced fun.

Uhh, I don't think so, but you can trade in PSX games and get an extra 3 dollars if you have more than 3 games to trade in.
 
Also, let me know if GR gets ESPN NBA 2K5 in....they said I could not get it until 10/29 (and it was released TODAY)

I'm still loving them though....got lots of CHEAP games thus far

That is how I felt, I was like huh?, but he was giving me the extra $5 with me using a coupon to get a $5 game (Fable) so I did not want to complain at that momemt
 
Wow last time I went to Gamerush I got not two, but three deals combined. I brought in 4 games, and traded them in. After the $5 extra got applied I got $20 added to the total which came out to $80+. I then preordered two games, Doom 3 and Ratchet and Clank, and got $20 off each one. I then noticed I had a 3 for 4.99 coupon in my wallet so I went and picked up Madden 05 which is 44.99 used. Gave it to the GR guy and he rang everything up and the total was like $59 for a 49.99 preorder, a 39.99 preorder, and a 44.99 used game. Plus I left with about an extra $25 credit. That guy was like "Damn, you saved alot" when he saw my receipt. I also had a trade one get any new title for $10 off coupon that I was going to use, but thought that having three deals combined was enough for one night. 8)

Also I'm not sure if anyone knows but the preorder deal ends on 10/11. Does anyone know when the trade 3 get $5 extra credit deal end?

Well, maybe I'll call later.....if not, I'll stop at GameStop on the way home. The clerk was hell bent on not selling it till 10/29....I tried to explain that they moved the date up....but the computer was not updated.

Okay sorry about that. I only glanced at the flyer. The flyer you saw also had a get $5 extra on all trades sign on it too right? Again sorry about the mixup.

Its not a problem. And I dont remember if the extra 5 was on the flyer. I know it was either on it or on a different one.
 
I think many people here forget you can only trade in 2 copies of each title. So taking in 10 Hobbits will leave you stuck with 8 unless you go to different stores.

Make sure you do them at different stores, most will only take two per of the same per day, and it will look really suspicious if you walk in with 3 of the same game.
 
I know they only take 2 at a time. Took two of them and Fable and got $100.00 credit. Got NBA live 2005 and preorder/ paid for Ghost recon 2 and have $25 credit left.
 
I called GR today and asked if their was a limit of one particular game I could trade in. I asked if I could trade 10 of the same and he said sure. I didn't do this though I were just curious and thought it might come in Handy later.

If I pay $50 worth of games I can trade teh in for $150 at GR, and buy an XB with the credit. I plan on doing that.
 
I traded in two games and reserved Halo 2 LE with the EGM coupon.

NBA Courtside 2002 (GCN) - $1.50
Hunter: The Reckoning (GCN) - $3.00

I had fourty some dollars on my account so the pre-order took nothing out of my pocket. I had $8 left when it was all said and done and I picked up NBA 2K5. I didn't know that the game was already out.

Quick question, if you trade in 4 games using the $20 off on preorder deal when you trade 2 games, will you get $40 off? Or do they not allow double-stacking?

Same here, both stores that let me stack the 5$ with the preorders before said they cant do that anymore, one clerk told me corporate HQ sent notice to all stores and really squash that stuff. Oh well worked twice for me so I was pretty happy.
 
anyone know if I can prin tout the Scanned copy of the trade 3 get used game for $4.99? I don't have EGM.. and wonder if the color print out will work.. thanx...

Not any more, it was worth 25 (30 after the 5 dollar addition), but I got 12 for it the day I spent 10 on it at CC, oh well, still making a profit. Well, actually, I ended up getting 17 for it due to the 5 dollar addition.

I really nuked them with the stacking of coupons and deals the last time I was there. I preordered THUG 2, and Mario Tennis with both the 5 dollar add-ons, and paid for fully in credit, and still had like 50 dollars left, so, then I got FF Tactics Advance for a dollar (using the trade-in 5 get one PO for a dollar coupon in EGM), then, got TOS new, and paid 5 bucks out of pocket extra. So, after spending like 30 at CC, I got 3 new games, and one PO game. Wow.

I know I said that before, but, I just got on a rant of excitement. :lol:

I was thinking about going back to preorder MGS 3, but, if I do, I'll wait a while, I plan to sell a lot of stuff on Ebay, and if I do, I might just preorder MGS 3 and try to preorder RE 4.

Since, I got tons of rare stuff I'm going to sell on Ebay, and I mean Peter Max stuff... you know how much those things go for, right? Thousands! :shock:

Watch me end up spending all of that at Game Rush. :lol: :?

They were never supposed to do it, but they didn't know that at first.
 
Does anyone know when the extra $5 deal ends? I've read on other posts that the pre order deal ends around Oct 11th. My CC has quite a few of the latest clearence titles. Usually I'd pass it up, but with the extra $5 you can't go wrong!

Which cincinnati stores have you tried so far GameDude? I've also checked the 2 I usually go to and have had a no go for the combining deal as well. Wondering if all the stores in this area are impervious to the deal combining.

(It was rather nice however getting the additional $5 trade-in, -$20 off preorder, and trade 3 get one $9.99 used while it lasted) :)

trade 3 get one $9.99 used while it lasted??? You mean the previous Trade 2 get one $9.99 used?? as far as I know, none in cincy combines the deal.
 
ever check out thos codes the scan when you use a coupon? I noticed one that said something like... trade one get one for $4.99

Any idea what I might get for that? I was hoping for enough to either get Donkey Konga or Pikmin 2.

You can probably get DK and Pikmin 2 if you get the additional $5 for those games.

I traded in Tale and got $25 last week.

That puts him at about $110.

I would trade, but there are two problems. First and foremost problem, it's a hassle for me to trade. The nearest post office (or UPS store or anything shipping related) is quite a ways off. So it's a really big hassle for me to try and ship anything to anyone. Second problem is you really don't have any games that I'm interested in. So yea, sorry.

Whoops I mean the Trade 3 and get one used for $4.99 coupon which was combinable with the 2 other deals at a few stores. Alas I havent had any luck at Glenway or Kenard with combining 2 deals yet alone 3 that i used to in the last week.
 
In Cincinnati, Landen and Mason (the one on Kings Mills Ave) wil not let me combine the offers. I haven't tried the stores at Harpers Pointe or Blue Ash yet.

Well I was just using a scanned copy from the EGM magazine but it looks like its a 99% sure thing now that you need the original coupon... One of the employees mentioned that a memo was sent out regarding the facsimile coupons and to only take originals (I'm guessing it was the same memo that mentioned not to combine any offers)

Harper's Point won't do it either. I tried with 2 different employees on different days.
 
Does anyone know if Gamerushs carry DDR games? I'm considering getting the DDR game for Xbox if I can. I'm not sure if Gamerush even has those type of games though.
