Hey guys, I figured since we totally hijacked that DS Lite thread to talk about everything from cider to live local music....we might as well have a dedicated thread for it. Especially since I think we definitely have the most robust discussions in the Southeast CAG forum!

I'll kick it off by describing my recent EB experience:

I hit the Northlake EB (the one with the cool manager) today to grab some B2G1 goodness. I ended up getting Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (XB), RE2 (GC), and RE3 (GC), all complete and mint for 86.65. Considering that MvC2 goes for $50-60 on ebay, I thought this to be a pretty good purchase! As I was leaving, the manager guy told me that the North Dekalb store had some rare shit right now too, and that I should check it out. What a nice guy!

Anyway, I f'n hate that EB, but I figured it was worth a trip (its not that far from home). I ended up getting complete mint copies of REZ (PS2), LoZ Promo disc (GC, the one with Master Quest), and Cubivore (GC) for $72.20. Cool.

I also got 3 used DS games (preparing for the Lite on Sun) for B2G1. All three of the games (Trauma Center, Advance Wars, and MarioKart) were complete. But, somehow, as the dipshit was ringing me up, the Trauma manual somehow disappeared from the box! Since they insist upon slapping those damned clear stickers on the edges at sale time, I didn't notice the missing manual until I was on the way home. Jackasses!! Well, they had another complete used copy, so hopefully they can help me out tomorrow....but I'm not counting on it.

In the meantime, this dude with a baby was trading in 20 Xbox games (and getting ripped off, I might add), and the clueless employees there couldn't seem to get it all worked out. That poor bastard must've been there for about 45 minutes, and still hadn't gotten the right trade in credit. UGH.

My two trips today really showed me how utterly opposed two EBs within a few miles of one another could really be. And that is why I always go out to Northlake!

Bunch of other sports games but none that were under $15.
 
Just went back by the Walmart in Snellville and all that was left was one PS2 Disgaea 2 and some PC Strangleholds. I went ahead and got Disgaea 2 since it scanned at $5. I didn't know they were going to drop the prices on these or I would have gone back for Manhunt 2 and held out for Soldier of Fortune Payback. Anyway, PC Stranglehold is all that's left and for only $5!

Ooh, I forgot. At the Edgewood Target (on Wednesday) they also had some of those Halo 3 controllers, but the one in the back had the black variant figure. OMG, collectible! :lol:

Now I'm wondering if Lair is worth it for $30 or if I should just grab it at Gamestop later this year when it undoubtedly will be going for $9.99 in the bargain bin.

where do you live? I've found deals at most of the targets that I visit (from Targets up in Lawrenceville, to Alpharetta, to Norcross/Duluth). Sometimes the endcaps are pretty far from the video games so you just have to look.
 
Those are MSRP at the moment. But with them sending their HD-DVDs back to the manufacturers, what's the point of selling them?
 
The North Point GS had another MLB 08 after I left today (thanks, 25% coupon).

Also, no need for anyone to check out the 'Gamecrazy' in Acworth. Absolutely no deals to speak of.

Alright guys can we get some feelers out on supplies of Lair?

I know it's pretty terrible because of the controls; But, with the analogue control patch and a likely $14 price drop (either this week or next) I am wondering if I could get some ideas of where a few are before this Mondays price drop. (Suffice it to say- at $14 I am in for sure).
 
I think I got the last Lair in the Acworth/Kennesaw area at 29.98 earlier in the week.

There's a Gamecrazy in Acworth? I know there's a Hollywood Video across from the McDonalds Neocisco mentioned and I've gotten some cheap crap there, emphasis on crap, when they had a 3 for 15 sale on 9.99 and under games. The selection there is usually poor.

Thats where I live, I never find anything of there, there is about 4 pawn shops but the cheapest game I see is like 20 bucks, and the ebgames by walmart never has anything. I do everything up in kennesaw its like 10 minutes from there and they have a good target, bestbuy, Toys r Us and few other gems stores (Concept Gaming)

They seemed to have a few copies at Lindbergh the other night, but I can't say how many, since they were in the glass case.

Possibly. It's a HV on the west side of 41 south of Target. Not a true GC (see quotes), but much more than the usual HV. Absolute crap, but maybe I'm used to better prices elsewhere.


Hope to hit one of the TC GS stores to get Ratchet tomorrow for $38. Stupidly, I forgot to pick up MGS2 @ North Point, and that's the closest one.

There's a couple at Edgewood. Saw em there last night, in the glass.
 
Anybody know where I can find a Hori stick for the xbox 360? A friend of mine got one from the gamestop at cumberland, which pisses me off cause I called and asked for one and dude was like "nah, we don't have it." I'm looking for one for Virtua Fighter so if anybody sees one, could you please let me know?

I'm also looking for a cheap copy of VF5. Holla if anybody knows where I can get either or both.

So as of 7:30 today (tues) there are about 10 PS3 Orange Box, 3 Lair, at the 29.38 price at the Atlantic Station Target. They were at the 40 price point the previous week, I would imagine that they might drop to 15 next monday, (if there are any left). All in the display case so, there is a strong possibility that they wont be hidden. I bit on the orange box last week for $29.38 at the Cobb target and I've got a question for you all; Target won't honor the difference if I bring my receipt in and they dropped to 15 right? I mean they are clearance games and its not a price drop. But I'm a CAG so, gotta know.

Yes, that's a dangerous game. I think the best you can hope for (if you want to play) is to buy it at 30 bucks, then hope there's still a copy at 15 the following week. Buy that, and then return the $30 purchase.
Worst case scenario is you get an OK deal vs. a great deal. At least you have the game, right?

Me? I'm gonna hold out another week!
 
I have the week off and am playing some backlog of games so I doubt I'll be hitting West Marietta this week. I did have to go to the Target in Acworth for a USB cable yesterday, which it turns out I didn't need and will return. Saw Orange Box for PS3 dropped to 29.98, 1 copy was left, NCAA Football (PS3) still 19.98 (2-3 copies), NBA 08 (PS3) 29.98 (3-4 copies), Stranglehold (X360) 1 copy 14.98, a couple of Simpsons (X360) don't remember the price, Boogie (PS2) 14.98, all endcap games were gone, these were all in the display cases.

Also, the Lindbergh/ Peachtreehill's Target had a Red 30GB Zune at the $132 clearance price.
 
Has anyone found any Zunes at the $95 price point? If so please PM me the location and if they have any left... I would really like to pick one up.

I've checked my local Targets and they are all still $133. And out of 5 stores there are only 3 reds and one brown left... I'm afraid they're going to be gone by the time they reach 50% off...
 
If you're looking for Williams Pinball for the Wii, there are 5 copies at the Edgewood Target. Thought about grabbing one myself, but I've got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on my docket right now as it is.

I saw one yesterday at the Mt Zion target.

I picked up Legend Of Zelda: PH and Pokemon Pearl at the Fairington RD radio shack today for $20 each.

There is 1 copy of the Collector's Edition at the Best Buy in Stone Mountain at the front clearance table.

It's 70% off of either $60 or $70, can't remember which. Pretty good deal either way.

Any drops to 75% off on the PS3 games at target this week or last? Before I went out of town last weekend I picked up a Motorstorm @ 30 just to be sure I at least got that deal. This afternoon, the Snellville T still had OB @ 30, MOHA 42, and the sports games holding at the same prices. I'm looking specifically for Orange Box, Motorstorm, and Lair and maybe MOH Airborne.

I got the last Dead Rising at the TRU on pleasant hill today. I saw a few BA2, one Rumble Roses, a few Shadowrun, a yakuza, wwe 2007 and some others.
 
Went to Acworth & West Marietta today. Acworth is reorganizing the electronics dept so not much to report there. Only thing of interest I saw at W. Marietta (Dallas Hwy) were 2 Lairs on an endcap for 29.98 each.

Which one was that CoCheese? I buy most games regardless under $16. I'll buy it and resell when done for under $8 usually.
