[quote name='MarkMan']That's an actual guy that posts on NeoGAF.. ;)

Look for me too! MarkManSDT Assasin ranked Lion ;)[/quote]

:D:D:DI don't believe our paths have crossed yet so I'll keep an eye out for Lion.:D:D:D

I only have five more achievements to go. I have really enjoyed VF5, even more so than VF4 Evo. I hope VF5R hits the 360.

wait I made a cameo in virtua fighter?? or are u talking about playing it online??

I only have the PS3 version coz it costed me $10, I havent even played it... I dont think it can go online tho

[quote name='MarkMan']My character is usually at Sega North... I think. I forget. lol.[/quote]

That sounds about right. It is one of the elite arcades with the advanced players.

MM said it was someone else on GAF. I had to ask after seeing both a Jekk and a GAF mention. Sorry about that.

[quote name='KingBroly']I'm a bad person...
I bought Yoda.
[/quote]

Wouldn't that make you a good person since Yoda fights on the light side of the force?

I am now in the process of commissioning a stick-maker to mod my old X-arcade into a 2-player stick for the 360! The impending release of SFIV and HD Remix finally convinced me to remedy the pad issue.

Now if you fighter guys can help me... I need to know if there are any fighters that are picky about mapping the triggers and bumpers on the 360 controller. I ask because my layout may end up looking something like this:
Code:
  (X)(RB)(Y)
  (A)(RT)(B)
(LB)(LT)
My rationale for this layout is that I want the top-middle and bottom-middle buttons to both be "block" buttons in UMK3, and since you can't configure the controls in UMK3, I've gotta design the stick around that game.
But then let's say I get Tekken 6. Would I be able to map A, RT, LB, and LT on that stick to the normal attacks? In Virtua Fighter 5, could I use LT, RT, and B? Can I use RB for Strong and RT for Forward in Street Fighter? THESE are the questions I must ask before I proceed with my joystick quest!

btw, the concept of a custom stick-maker has such a medieval or mythical quality to it, I love it! Like it makes me think about some dude who has a sword, a sword so badass that it has a NAME and it was forged by the great Arcade Ed from the lands of the Far West.

They should have menu item in the options where you can customize your button setup.

[quote name='MarkMan']Tekken has always let you customize your controls, so that won't be a problem.[/QUOTE]ahaaa good good. I was pretty sure, but I wanted to make sure that the triggers weren't reserved for combination button presses or something like that.

I've been in a holding pattern of "not playing as much fighting games as I'd like to" for a while now, but getting a working 360 stick should help me out of that rut!

Oh and something I've always wondered... what's the deal with those optical 360-degree sticks? Is there any benefit to using them for fighting games? I always kinda figured that using a 360-degree stick was a bad idea, since most fighters only use 8 directions anyway.

Yeah I know MM said SF IV is something like January or February but I really want to know about SSFIITHDR cuz it's way cheaper and 2D rules. It better come out before my Christmas break is over or it will be a very long time before I buy it.

[quote name='MarkMan']I
Let's make it happen when HD Remix and SF IV come out. We HAVE to have CAG nights for those often... Esp since those are supposed to have decent netcode![/QUOTE]

Down

Abel FTW. Too fun

[quote name='depascal22']What about SFIIHDSuperHyperAlphaRemix? SRK had a Nov. leak but who knows.[/quote]

it's been submitted to sony and MS now... so if it processes quick I expect sony to get it first.

My buddy totally pulverized me like 10-5 in SF2HF yesterday... that was my first time playing a fighter with the 360 controller... it was HORRIBLE. I can't hook up my USB keyboard to the 360 and use that right? I'm used to playing SF on a keyboard.

oh something I just thought of, similar to my other question...
What 360 fighters use the BACK button? I'm wondering if I can afford to leave that out of my custom stick. I figure the Guide Button is a must have... I'll use the "pinball" buttons on either side of the stick for those. But if I must sacrifice a button, which one should it be??

OH SHIT!!! AWESOME!!! CAMMY!!!!!!

And....Gen?! That was out of left field. Oh well.....CAMMY!!!!!!!!!

Do you pronounce Gen's name like "genesis" or like "get" with an n? I've never been able to figure out how to say it right.

[quote name='Jimbo Slice']I say it like Get but with an N, not like "Jen"[/QUOTE]

This right here is how I say it.

I loved using X ism Gen in SFA3. I cannot wait to play as him in SFIV.

Happy to see Gen in there.

I'm guessing the inclusion of all of the New World Warriors is coming soon?

Also Markman, that video you posted of TvC tightens the case that it's going to be broken to all hell :)
