So, after doing some research on MK's online, the general opinion seems to be that the online is officially shit. These opinions were read from various places like GAF, TRMK, SRK, etc.

EDIT: Apparently the matchmaking is pretty ass too, lol.

If you straight up go to "find player matches" it can take either fucking forever to find someone to quick match with or it will just straight up tell you "connection failed". And by forever I mean I waited for 11 minutes to be connected to someone.

If you go into one of the rooms though (basically the same as the rooms in MvC3) you'll have no problem connecting. This doesn't matter though, because you're going to be assaulted with lag anyways, it's just whether you want to be beaten to death faster or slower.

Customers say it sucks, reviewers say it varies, I'm going to have to side with the guys who are paying $60 to play it and are probably better at it than the reviewers.

If it varies it varies a LOT, like the matches I played last night were unplayable because of the lag.

And Frosty, I agree, for that goddamn Kombat pass it should have great online.

I was watching a stream video that was fine. Then the guy played it online and the frames was shit. I told distgfx this before and he thought it was maybe just the video. It doesn't shock me it has shitty online. Look at MK VS DC. Although they claimed they redid the online from the ground up. I knew it wouldn't be any good no matter what they said about it far as the online goes and its rather depressing. After I saw this mk was set up the same way online as MK VS DC is. I knew that was a bad sign.

Too bad Sega had it pulled from the site, but it's not hard to find. I never played MK vs. DC online, but I had high hopes for this game's online. It really sucks that it didn't live up to my expectations.

My custom Converse arrived today, I'm so happy. :D Shipped from Dongchong Town apparently.

I don't want to wear them when it is going to rain though (at least for a little while), so I'll have to wait till Thursday to actually wear them to work. :cold:

I understand that, now. I shouldn't have had such high hopes for this. Oh well, I can still play against my sister. Me and her just did a few games, she kicked my ass with Scorpion, but that's the only person she can do it with.

Also, Noob is seriously broken. I know I've said it multiple times now, but really, BROKEN.

Oh yeah, Ermac's badass. I somehow did a 24 hit combo with him. It was awesome.

I saw a early video and knew the online wasn't good. Soon as I saw it was set up like mk vs dc. I thought oh shit its gonna suck. Just how bad is the online? Are we talking kofxii before or after that patch? :lol:

I hate to say I told you so,but I told you so. Said this to many times,but after I saw how it was set up online. I knew it was gonna be crap like mk vs dc was.
 
So I just got $25 in promotional credits for ordering Portal 2 (which I ordered for $55). That is like getting both the PS3 and PC version of the game for $30!

Got Best Buy to price match Toys R Us probably because I'm ridiculously good looking.

Got to use my 70.00 giftcard, so I only paid 50.00 for both games and the 50.00 giftcard (which will be used on LA Noire or Duke).

Also glad I got the classic Sub Zero instead of Kitana (TRU exclusive).

But unfortunately, I just get to stare at the games. Gotta get that school work done surrounded by hot soccer moms in Panera Bread.
