I beat expert ladder, but not without continues. :(

Still haven't gotten Jade or Reptile's secret fights, either.

For expert ladder I did tag and used Ermac/Stryker. I'd do Stryker's roll and beat the shit out of whoever I was going against, combo them up, gunfire juggle, combo in Ermac, uppercut (TOASTY!), and hopefully by this point have enough for Ermac's x-ray. I finished with 2 continues, I got fucked up by a Sindel/Noob team.

What's your best combo so far? I got 16 with Stryker/Ermac.
The only one I've really spent time in the lab with was Kitana for 20 minutes because I thought I needed to in order to pass challenge 79. I got a 7-9 hit combo with her. Other than that, I've been sticking to basic shit at the moment with the most common being either Sub-Zero's ice ball > jump bp > bpx3 for 5 hits or scorpion's spear > neutral jump bp > back bp > dash forward > uppercut.

I got to Shao Kahn on tag ladder without continues (Sheeva/Scorpion)... when he beat me like his bitch with his pimp hand, I said fuck it and went back to two rounds/easy to try to get Jade's trophy unlocked.

There's some Ermac and Reptile combos I want to try out so I can get the open tabs with their notations out of my browser as well. :)

Happy birthday, ice-bestie!

I may have to pick up Portal 2 for PS3, play through and beat the game, then sell the game minus steam copy for cost, since I can get it for $15 out of pocket when GS puts it on sale for $40...
That will essentially make my "I'll probably get Portal 2 when it's free" come true. :)

Some people wouldn't see this as a problem...
Real talk, get some pepper spray and a taser.

Real talk, it wouldn't be rape, but I definitely wouldn't be taking the initiative. It's just the idea of me being in a relationship ... with a woman.

Damn, Outland is pretty good. I might have to full game that one.

Wasn't too keen on Nin2. Strania is as I imagined it would be--will full game that.

Just waiting on Trouble Witches trial to download now...

Started up Red Johnson's Chronicles: Episode 1 and was surprised that the first QTE involved greeting the game's version of Huggy Bear, which I promptly failed twice because I'm a jive turkey.
Yo, Outland on PS3 is pretty sweet.
Wouldn't know :)

I still need to finish a bunch on my PSN games first.

I may try to learn Sheeva better, I can see how she'd be a help in expert ladder. Jade's trophy is too goddamn hard to unlock  I'm having too much of a problem with it. I'll probably unlock Reptile's today, since I finally saw a witch fly in front of the moon yesterday.

Man, been watching dat Royal Wedding. Surprised to find out that not everyone waves like they're from Princess Diaries.

Also, BlueScrote, I really didn't like Demon's Souls. They should've put in a goddamn pause button.

It's actually a really fun watch. I'm surprised how lax security is.

Dude, I just made a list of how many women I want to marry.

List has 73 names on it.

Prime target?

ANNE HATHAWAY.

POST OF THE YEAR!

Just got a text from minimart girl, begging me to go with her to the party tomorrow night. I told her yes.
I enjoy watching joel's marriage disintegrate
It's better than whatever shows are on tv right now.

I finished up the Brave Story novel a couple days ago, and really liked it a lot (still don't see how the game could ever work with what is described in the novel though (and technically it should since the novel came first) but maybe I didn't make it far enough in the game for it to make sense, haha). The novel was a lot deeper than I expected initially going in.

Now I'm reading The Hunger Games, reminds me a lot of the Battle Royale novel, which is a good thing because that is one of my favorite novels. :D Also, this book is going much faster than Brave Story, since Brave Story was apparently a tome (like I would seriously read for 30 minutes on the way to work and maybe got through 1-2%, with The Hunger Games I can get through 4-5% each way commuting).

Okay, I'm never reading another review from Joel. Demons Soul's bad?

"It's clear that any problem with Demon's Souls is to be attributed to the poor design and not the player's efforts to make headway in the game."

You will always be the source of your own problem. Did you swing your sword and miss? Did you forget to block? Did you make sure that the room was clear? Demon's Souls could very well be one of the greatest games of this HD generation.

But seriously Joel,

Now if you said the game was too hard for you to create an enjoyable experience, then that I can agree with. The game does not hold your hand.

I actually kind of agree with Joel, not really on the control aspect because that felt fine, but more on the design. I mean I understand why people like that game, and there is something rewarding about the challenge, but I felt like there were lots of parts where you basically are guaranteed to get slaughtered because the game doesn't give you much warning, so you just attack an enemy that kills you in 2 hits because you aren't supposed to go that way. Or in the prison with those Cthulhu guys that could lock you in place and until you know what to do you will probably die every fight with them (unless I guess you have a ring to resist magic, or are just really cheap and run up behind them hoping to kill them before they can turn around and cast a spell, but in general you aren't really taught how to deal with them and they feel cheap).

This is why you needed to play it online, because other players leave hints that tell you when something like this will most likely occur.

Wow... still getting honest responses to my blog where I trolled TMK:

I love my PS3, I love my 360(I have a slim after my first 360 red ringed so this one is quiet), but you honestly say Singstar as one of the great things about the PS3? I'd much rather play Rock Band 3 on the 360, where I can sing in harmonies, play piano, play guitar, play drums.
As much as I like Mod Nation Racers, I don't see the support and growth like Little Big Planet had. i wish it could be better and bigger.

There are xbox live games that suck but there are also a huge amount of xbox live games that are awesome! I have kinect, there are no good games on kinect. Right now my kinect play games called Netflix and ESPN. I have Killzone 3 and Socom 4, I hope to be using move with those games this weekend. I played the multiplayer beta for Killzone 3 with the move and it didn't work perfectly from my point of view but I'll give it a chance. I guess your overall point was this years releases. PS3 has dominated this year, till PSN was hacked, ugg. As a gamer that plays all consoles, who cares, just give me great games to play, no matter the console.

Yeah!! Hop on PSN right now and play it.

. . .

Nevermind. . .

Joel knew PSN would crash and reviewed Demon Soul's appropriately in advance.

iono chac that seems like he's playing along. i could have way too much faith though.

In online play, players left messages to warning you of hidden enemies. There was also a feature where you could see blood splatter, which shows how a previous person went down. Demons Soul's had everything covered. It might be my Diablo 2 Hardcore mentality, but DS was a breeze until you get to New Game++. DS was super easy to get the good weapons, the upgrade stones were annoying though.

Like I said, most people warrant a game based on their experience with the game, ie how much they enjoyed it. That is when you are allowed to be very opinionated. Though I think people need to understand when a game brings something NEW and evolutionary to the gaming standard it needs to be recognized. Demons Soul's took all the qualities of solid RPGs and created a platforming game in an RPG world.
