Will be $250 in US for March.
I can deal.

6 months is a long time though.... :(
$250 is way too much for a handheld.

Day 1 if Zelda and Mario Kart are launch games...doubly so if DoA, RE, and SSFIV are there too. Head explode if MGS3 is out on launch.

If all goes well, I'll have a 3DS, games, and profit.

It'll be Day 1 for me if MGS3 is a launch title. If not, then I'll still probably get it, but DOA and LoZ will have to be coming out pretty close to launch. Here's hoping these games aren't more than $40, too.

I'll probably end up getting it at launch anyways, but hopefully that Paper Mario game will be out, and I might consider getting that Animal Crossing game since I skipped the DS one but I think I'd like to play one again; seems like it would be a great game to play for short bursts on a subway train.
No GBA in the GB VC is disappointing. Also, more than $200 will make me skip the 3DS until there's a price drop.
No GBA in the GB VC? The IGN article says that they will sell games through a VC like store... Maybe I just read you post wrong.

I was following Mark MacDonald's liveblog and he said it was just GB and GBC. Either way, I'm not paying over $200 for old games, remakes, ports, and Nintendo Franchise 3D. I need new games and new experiences to pay console level prices for the system.

I'm going to wait and see how some things on 3DS works before I buy one. Might be day 1, might not. Oh, and if it's $300 at launch, I'm not buying it.

My problem with the 3DS price point is that I get it's sort of justified because of the 3D, but the thing is, I don't CARE about the 3D; I just want the analog stick, improved graphics and new games.

Finally got DR2 this morning, gonna start it up after I eat lunch here.
They could just make a Virtual Boy game and include the entire library on one cart
Works for me!
I totally care about the 3D.

Just seems magical to me.

Okay icebeast, what show do you need our votes for
I've always dreamed of being on MTV's Teen Mom... best show on TV. ;)

Yeah!

Honestly, it sounds really neat to me. Can't wait until I see it for myself.

Man, I really want a 3dtv now for Ico/SotC.

Is there an economically sound 3D T.V/monitor on the market? Like a 23 inch or something?

I could care less about 3D but the moment they mentioned Ico/Sotc I became curious.

I wish.
I'd use that to get my 3D ache cured and enjoy the majority of my content on my current TV.

None so far.
Only Nvidia 3D monitors.

But this is Nintendo! ... NINTENDO! People paid $250 for the PSP, why not?

Yes, but it won't work with the PS3.

EDIT: Dammit, beaten by the monkey.

I'll probably grab the 3DS on day one. The hanheld market is the one place Nintendo hasn't really let m e down yet( I never brought a Virtual Boy).

I won't, Nintendo usually "screws" early adopters by releasing a better version in 2 years.

So I'll wait 'till TGS 2012 or E3 2013 to decide if I want a 3DS.

Anybody think the Zombrex Edition of Dead Rising 2(Ps3 version) will get cheaper? With SFIV's CE it didn't really drop in price but once I think, same with the RE5 CE (Ps3 version).

I can't believe those Ninja codes are selling for 15-20 eBay!

They're going to cost 2 bucks when they go on for sale normally.

I sure in the hell didn't pay $250 for a PSP. I just can't justify that price point for a portable. I could barely do it for a home console.

WAT
The Ninja outfit DLC for Dead Rising 2!?
Now I feel dumb for using mine yesterday. :(
If you commute a lot on public transportation you could think the opposite. And public transportation is basically all Japan is.
I actually do use mostly public transportation. I get sick if I read or play games while doing so unfortunately, so that doesn't factor into it for me...

I'm proud of you.

---------------
Man, today's a beta day for me. Got into the Dead Space 2 MP Beta and today's also the day of the beta Dashboard update for the 360.

Initial impressions of Dead Rising 2:

-Basically everything seems to have be improved from the first game, from survivor AI, gun combat, etc
-Nice to see the bathrooms and maintenance rooms all over the place
-Don't understand how to do the American Gladiators Atlasphere thing in the park
-Love the robot bears in the toy store in the Royal Flush plaza
-Katey is probably the most tolerable, almost sweet video game kid I've seen. Way better than JASON!
-Canadian accents ahoy!
-Love that there's a zombie on the cover in a Servbot helmet and Katey is playing Megaman.
-The story already seems way better than Dead Rising's, which I liked already.
-Ran into a couple glitches already: once the camera flipped out on me and Chuck went invisible, and when he came back I couldn't move for a minute or so, and once I killed a zombie and its body floated over the ground.
-Rescuing Doris & the guy with a shotgun was sort of annoying just because I couldn't get them to follow at first, and when they did the guy kept hitting her with the gun, but I got through it.
-The opening bit on the chainsaw-bike was AWESOME.

Taking a break now to do some other stuff, I'm up to the part where you follow the reporter.

Why the fuck can't I have a VC on DSi? Maybe it'll still happen. I'd love a reason to put some Nintendo bucks on my DS.

I just preordered this...

http://www.shopncsx.com/monsterhunterportable3rd-1.aspx

...instead of waiting for the 3DS. It doesn't mention it in the listing on NCSX but it has a different analog nub and includes a bigger battery. I don't really know what I'll do with it. I'll probably dump my silver PSP 3000, use my camo MGS one for US PSN content and my new MH 3000 for JP PSN content.

Off to get murdered in Reach.

I really like that PSP but I really hate Monster Hunter and my mystic silver bullshit works fine.

Tempted to snag Street Fighter Alpha on PSN for three bucks. After finishing like 10 games I just keep accumulating more, though; free Pain and Patapon 2 through the Subway fuckery, and then Club Bing has decided to ship me Too Human which I always wanted to give a shot. Good news is I should have Undercroft done by tonight and it won't take me long to get through DR2's story, though I'll be playing it for a while.

IDK if Contact is still 8 bucks on Amazon like it was this afternoon, but that also caught my eye.

If anyone wants to play Terror is Reality or whatever, the online multiplayer, I'll probably be online this weekend; send me a FR if you want to plaaay.

I played an unranked session of TIR last night, and it's really fun. Makes me wish I had a mic, since it's probably even more fun with friends.

Turns out you need to play Ranked matches if you want to get any cash for your save file though. Unranked matches don't give you a thing.

I haven't fought a psychopath on a bike yet. Just the one with Snowflake and the one in the mission "Role Model" in the bathroom. Both were easy with the Broadsword. Shit does so much damage.

I just killed Ted easily with a Spiked Bat, but then got mauled to death by Snowflake.

The guy on the bike
Showed up when I headed into the park on the way back after following the reporter (when you have to go back to the security room because Sulliivan wants to kick Katey out).

Where do you get a broadsword from?

Decided I'm definitely going to buy DR2. My friend told me he's picking it up tonight.

I remember staying up till 4am in college playing DR with my roommate and getting the best ending.

There's a broadsword on display near the exit to Americana Casino. There's a broadsword and two guitars.

As for Snowflake?
Once you kill Ted, you have to throw Steaks at Snowflake just before she mauls you. There's a bunch in her habitat. Just grab one, wait until you see her run towards you, then throw it in front of her. If you timed it right, she'll stop and eat the steak. Once you feed her enough to fill her health bar, she joins you.

My lady friend watches that show. It is painful to watch.

Offering a smaller model isn't really screwing anyone. Honestly the first upgrade I felt was even worth anything was the DSi since it actually offered something the older models couldn't.

Haven't met Snowflake yet, I did take care of the guy on the bike though.

Just killed the guy on the bike, but I couldn't find him at first. That led to me finding two survivors a minute too late for me to get them back to the safehouse in time to start the next case file. fuck!

Good thing there's a savepoint right there so I can do it quicker.

EDIT: Gonna hop on TIR in a little while, so anybody on PSN wanna play, just send me a message or something if you see me online.

More like additional colors, where is the Pink 3DS?
