Cliffy B. was involved and there is Gears of War 3 beta access to be had, I'm too hip for that shit. :cool: (Real Talk: Gears doesn't really impress me so I assume that Bullestorm probably wouldn't either, and Killzone 2 didn't impress me either from a single player perspective and the multiplayer was fun but I didn't really think it was anything too special (but I don't usually get much into competative FPS games the only one I can name that I ever played a lot of was Halo 2); I mostly play FPS games for single player (Half-Life is my favorite FPS of all time)).

I still need to watch that show, since I only tried to read the 2 volume manga which came after the anime and let me tell you I only read the first volume but I can't tell you anything about what the hell happened because the panels didn't flow at all and there was so much time jumping and awkward scene changing without any indication that I just couldn't figure anything out.

Haha, I know that but it is just one of those mindsets where mostly all Epic does is Unreal and Gears neither of which I really played or have enjoyed so I don't really put much thought into what they put out (even if the main developer isn't actually Epic). Like I said I play FPS game mostly for single player and Epic has never impressed me in that regard (for instance Unreal Tournament single player :rofl:). Also, I watched a trailer video for Bulletstorm when it was announced and it seemed to me to be really stupid so I didn't even bother to pursue it further (i.e. didn't even bother with the demo).

The reason for buying this game is the single player.
 
Mortal Kombat now comes with a 10.00 GC at Amazon and is only 56.99.

I ordered one before they raise the price to 59.99, not sure if I'll keep the order or not, I feel like I always get screwed over by MK.

I just remembered the anime equivalent of Unlimited SaGa, so just as an intro I've basically seen very little of either Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z, but me and one of my roommates in college decided to undertake the difficult task of watching all of Dragon Ball GT. We both knew Dragon Ball GT sucked and I barely knew anything about Dragon Ball anyways, which made it a bit funnier, but there are seriously some parts in that show that you can't even make fun of because they are so bad, I don't know how we survived 64 episodes of that.

All you need to know about Dragon Ball GT can be summed up in two pictures:

As a kid I loved 2 (I think I mentioned here I got my parents to buy it for me when I promised never to do fatalities :lol:)

Even as a kid I knew 3 was shit, we used to call Sheeva 'Goro with a sex operation.'

I was SO excited to get Ultimate MK3 for the genesis. I remember saving all my allowance. I also remember being let down that it barely had anyone new.

MK Trilogy on PS1? lol @ Shang Tsung loading times.

MK4...what a stinker. Terrible cast too.

I didn't get the first one on the xbox, or the last, whichever the one in the middle. I remember my gf and I had just broken up so I bought myself a gift. I became more depressed.

Rented MK vs DC. Pretty 'meh' all around.

UMK3 for iOS...how can I lose at .99!? Oh, it's horrible.

Maybe I should go cancel that pre-order...

Well at the very least Bulletstorm is very different from typical mainstream shooters since it focuses on creativity instead of the usual stuff. Based on the reviews I've read and the demo, the game tries to be funny and over the top while satirizing your typical bro shooters. The game mechanics revolve around killing enemies in creative ways using the environment and your tools in order to rack up the highest amount of points. And people playing also seem to say that the writing is great and the game is very funny.

Alright I'm downloading the demo, and then I'll pass final judgment; although going in I already think the game is going to be too stupid for me so it will be fighting an uphill battle.

The demo is of Echos mode, an offshoot of single player.

The whole goal is to go through echos as fast as possible, while getting a high score.
