I don't understand that video? Was there a joke somewhere that I just didn't get?
If you're not kidding, it's the developers throwing a shout out to one of the most well-known memes on the net. It's not trying to be funny, I just thought it was kinda cool that the Burst Limit crew are in touch with their fan base (besides releasing the exact same game 8324734982409238409283049283 times)

It was part of the DBZ story. All they did was leave it in. I'm sure they don't give a shit about the meme.

Man, it was cool that they discussed Yakuza 2 on the 1UP show last week, but goddamn, when they started pitching ideas like "wut if they made the new Yakuza games download only for the US! Yeah, that's cool!" I was like, goddamnit, you guys need to shut up before you give Sega more bad ideas. Who comes up with stupid ideas like that anyway?

Well yeah, but they're suggesting it like... instead of bothering with a retail release. Which I can't understand why anybody would say "yeah, I'd like to pay just as much for no physical product."

This is what I fear will happen at some point. Look at NFL Head Coach on PSN for $50 as an example. Or most any digital download services for PC, like Steam. I feel like I'm renting a game if I buy something off of those.

That's not far from the truth anymore, if you read any EULA. Most of the time, you are licensing the software product for personal use only. Or some BS jargon like that.

Well, it will only save money for the Sega in the short run (due to no disc making cost), but less people will want to buy a game that has no physical value. Now, if they decide to do this and charge 30-40$, the idea looks less stupid, but if they want to charge the full 60$, the sales WILL be abysmal

I'd honestly rather pay an extra $10-20 for an actual product than a a digidownload, just coz it's much easier if you want to play a game on a disc down the road. No circumventing copyright schemes and all that.

Oh, and Dragon Quest IV has me bored to tears. I'm like 3 hours in, and I just don't even want to play it anymore. There's battles every 3 steps, and they take forever. And the characters don't seem to have any personality, which is what I thought a lot of the draw for this game was... I'll probably move onto another RPG come Monday.

What's wrong with steam? As far as download services go and digital distribution, I absolutely adore the simpleness and ease of using it. Certainly better than EA's SecuRom bullshit they're putting in their products.

I don't like being locked out of shit that I buy, and digital distribution is a fantastically effective way to do that. Though yeah, EA on the PC is not good either. But the consoles are still safe... for now!

What are you being locked out of? Steam grants you unlimited downloads and installs of almost all the titles they sell. Every title I've bought off steam has always allowed me to redownload and install it as many times as I please.

The day this happens is the day I give up on gaming.

Man, I looked, but I din't see nothing :(.

Because I've got like everything I want except for like 2 things.

But if you want, you can CMBA. That stands for See My Bank Account, and how flat fuckin' broke I be.

Naw, I ain't broke, but I like moneys.
If you're against digital distribution only, then you shouldnt help pave the way by making such purchases now, either full games or DLC.
I'm not against digital distribution, but I am strongly against DRM.

I'm tempted to try Max Payne 2 again. I remember liking it when I played it back like... 5 years ago, but I don't remember loving it. Maybe that's changed.

I played Max Payne 2 on Xbox first, and through it was really good. Then I played the PC version and it totally smokes the Xbox version. I played it not too long ago and it still holds up.
