When i got to that point....
He called 911, then went to get back in his car, at that point i thought he was going to drive off and i would have to chase him down. So i grabbed him out of the car and a few seconds later it said i passed the mission. lol
 
Hey I was wondering if there is any reward for the hidden packages in the game, such as free weapons at your crib or something like they did in previous games. Anything?

no max on weapon ammo. IE, before 200 pigeons/flying rats, your max RPG count was 8, now you can have unlimited (currently have around 500).
 
Does anyone know how to get the random character
Gracie
to spawn? I did all the prereq's, go to where she's supposed to be, and I can't get her to spawn for some reason.

That's the last one I need for the achievement too =/
 
How long did it take for you guys to kill all 200 of the flying rats (pidgeons)?

And how long for the stunt jumps?

I need to do those to get 100% by tomorrow. I don't think it's going to happen... especially without a guide. I printed out a map of their locations, but still, it seems like it will take forever...

Don't even attempt those without a guide. Simply having a dot on the map for the pigeons doesn't do you a whole lot of good since they could be underground, behind something, on the roof, behind a sign, etc. For some of the stunt jumps, there are specific places you need to land in order for it to count - which is where the guide comes in.

If you played straight through tomorrow you could probably get them both with a guide :). It's not hard, just very tedious/boring.

I had a hard time getting some. Just leave the area, go back, if that dont work..try going to a safehouse and save a couple times so its the next day, or during the daytime.

Yes, there are specific times, don't know which ones have a time though. I would try to sleep/save and go back, if not there, try to sleep/save again and go back.

She definitely shows up in the daytime though?

Edit: Finally got it... she showed up around 18:00.
 
Will I be able to do the last 12-13 missions with like 4 1/2 hours left? What I am asking, are the missions going to be long and drawn out, or will some be just like 5 minutes?

i'd say they are a little longer....but each of the last 10 or so missions is on average about 10-15 minutes long.
 
question about the ending

I chose to take the money instead of revenge on Dimitri. I do have a save right before that mission, and I'll probably do it eventually, but my question is: since Kate survives in this scenario, and tells me to call her after all the shit goes down, why the fuck isn't she answering my calls? I mean, it's just a little annoyance, but I wish the game would stay consistent with the story they tell through the dialog.

also, I was spoiled while reading GameFAQs a week or so ago (the fuckers), and know that Jimmy kills Kate in one of the scenarios, so does Roman live in that one?

She gets upset with you and doesn't want to speak to you anymore when you call and tell her about the 2nd to last mission.
 
What are these random characters that the game mentions on the stat screen? How do I meet them? Do you just eventually meet them as you play?

Revenge Path:
Kate dies, Roman's pretty sad and pissed. Roman seems to always give you taxis, no matter what time/day.

I think I did it in one try, but I had so little health that after I got out of the mission I got shot by a cop(completely bogus) because I accidentally hit a civilian.
 
Hey, I had a question. If I want to shoot for the Liberty City Minute achievement, can I get it and then after the game is over with use the save file to do all of the side missions? Because if I can't, I'd rather just go for 100% completion since the game is so ace.

Yeah something exactly like that happened to me on the first try, but rather than getting shot I got ran over by a cop car as I was switching vehicles. That was lame as hell.

It took me about 7 tries between two days. When I
tried to do it by blasting my way out and stealing a car, I couldn't do it. Every time I would think I was finally going to get away, another damn cop would intercept me and I would eventually wreck my car and get gunned down.

When I finally searched through this thread about the mission, I discovered that there is a damn boat right outside the building. All you need to do is jump in that boat and speed towards Elizabeta's and when you reach a certain point, your wanted level just drops automatically.

Props to anyone who beat the mission by escaping in a vehicle because that shit was really hard.

Probably doesnt really need spoiler tags but meh... Someone's bound to whine over it if I don't...

I somehow did it successfully on my first try, the police circle was just small enough to where i could stay on the top side of the same island and wait for the stars to disappear.

BUT my stupid ass forgot that i had turned autosave off for some reason, and i ended up being forced to play it again. Luckily for me, it only took me two more tries, the second time I just literally out drove the police through the city.

I forgot to mention that on my final try, I didn't fire one shot. I just hauled ass through to the exit and made my getaway. I only had two stars because of that which really helped.
 
Has anyone been able to date a lot of the girls on the love meet website? I have only been able to date carmen and kiki so far. Always get rejection emails from the other ones.

Packie wanted to go bowling. We took a cab to go to the far bowling alley on the docks and played a boring 1/2 game. Took a cab back which dropped us off on the street opposite to Packie's house. I sprinted towards the waypoint while Packie casually walked towards it. As he was talking about how he had a great time, blah ,blah, blah out of nowhere a big rig slammed him, he flipped on the hood, and the big rig carried him for a few metres before his body slammed against a telephone pole.

Needless to say I failed the mission, but I was laughing my ass off.

IMO that is not enough.

I got 100% last wednesday night, on the social site my % keeps getting higher and higher by the day. Today it showed 75%.

Also now see that i have bronze walk/run and silver 90% public transport in the marathon section.

But i might warn some people, when i first beat the game, i was able to access the story gang area. But once i started a new save/new game i couldnt access that anymore.

Same thing happened to me. I was going for 100% so i took packie bowling and when i went to get into a cab he got hit by a car and died. I played a full game of bowling too, so i was pissed i had to do that all over again.

I had a similar experience. I had to take Little Jacob to a show in downtown NYC (on the second island) and I arrived there, got off my bike, and was talking towards him when I accidentally bumped into the poll. Needless to say, the poll fell and Little Jacob kinda ran into it. He fell back and was laying on the ground when a message pops up and says "Little Jacob is dead." I was pretty pissed and was wondering what the fuck went wrong.

Alexandra. She goes by the handle "Liberated Woman" on Craplist and even keeps a blog about her relationship with Niko. She gets you a 50% discount in all of the shops in the city.

You mean when the mission starts? :lol:

I had a hard time with 3 leaf clover for a few rounds. Problem was i didnt have any armor, that helps a lot. Also always take cover, and check your back. Sometimes cops will be shooting you from behind, when there are 1-2 left alive after you have moved to the next area.

Ah, I didn't know that.
Maybe I just got lucky because right when you get outside there were cops all over the place so I ran for it and jumped into the nearest pickup truck and hauled ass out of there. I was able to evade the cops by basically taking every turn there was and switched vehicles about two times. It was easy but pretty intense.
