There's no way that's legit.. those cases are full size cases and say Playstation 3.. looks like one says XBox, but not 360. Weird. And that disc art doesn't even look that good.

and LOL @ core 360.

Hollywood Video has mock boxes but they don't have the actual game in yet. The actual shipments should start arriving in stores between the 22nd and 24th.

Will be playing single player first for awhile. Its hard to focus on any games atm because i keep thinking about GTA4 and i just cant keep interest in anything for now :bouncy:

While it's not quite the same, I started playing Saints Row again last night, to get warmed up for GTA4. I was going to settle with San Andreas, but my 360 keeps giving me DRE's with it. :cry:

I thought that was pretty cool too. Hell them putting a hardcore station alone is big news.

I wonder which bands are gonna be on the station... Madball, Agnostic Front, Gorilla Biscuits... I can go on and on with just NY HxC bands. I wouldn't mind some old hardcore either like Minor Threat.

Live... I don't see the reason now to get it for ps3 unless you don't have a 360.

i could go with ps3 or 360, but the episodes are what got me.

Team Mafiya Work (2-8 teams)
You're a member of a crew doing contract work for the mafiya -- including such plum gigs as escorting wanted men, picking up MacGuffins and stealing cars. Work as a team to complete contracts before the time period ends and get the rewards. You'll probably want to do your best to scupper the other crew's work as well. Each contract you complete gives your team cash, and the crew with the most cash at the end of the round wins.

Navigating the streets of Liberty City is a key to success in multiplayer.​

Team Car Jack City (2-8 teams)
Cars spawn parked around the map and the teams must steal them and take them to a drop off point. The cash teams get for dropping off stolen vehicles depends on their condition -- teams get less cash the more damaged they are. The exception to this are special bonus cars, stuffed with drugs, which give a set amount of cash on delivery no matter how damaged they are. Your crew has to get hold of whatever vehicles the boss wants. Whichever crew makes the most money wins. Simple.

Turf War (2 teams)
A timed capture-the-base mode. There are a number of bases around the map that you have to take by standing on them for a short period of time. The more players that are on a base, the faster it can be captured. The more bases that your team owns, the faster your team's cash score increases. If the rival gang is on or near a base, you won't be able to take control of it -- so do what you can to try and... displace them. The team with the most cash at the end of the round wins.

Hop in the back of an armored vehicle and you can take out pursuing vehicles.​

Race (no teams)
Race to the finish through each checkpoint in order. If you take a wrong turn or mess up in some way, you can respawn your vehicle on the last checkpoint you passed. There is a large section of races for cars, boats, and helicopters -- you can choose laps and vehicle class/type. This mode has two sub-modes: Free Race and Cannonball Run.

Free Race are point-to-point races. First one to reach the end point wins. Cannonball Run are races where you have to traverse several checkpoints any way you can.

Just curious, if you have both consoles, why wouldn't you get the game on the console where you can play with more people/cags?

I went back and forth on this issue for a while. But ultimately decided to go with the PS3 because my refurbished 360 is so noisy and I'm somewhat neurotic about it burning out now.

I'm renting it for the 360, so I'll be able to try both, and might ultimately get it for both if it seems worthwhile. But my single player experience will be on the PS3.
 
Any good preorder deals? Been waiting and I want to reserve it while I have the money but I dont want to pay full price without getting something or at least get a 5$ off or just anyyything

Do you remember where you saw that? I haven't seen any mention of it either way, but I'd hope that there was the possibility.

I've been trying to avoid these GTA topics lately to avoid the hype, but I couldn't resist the OXM review. The 29th can't get here soon enough!!
 
I'm sure everyone pretty much expected a multiplayer mode of some sort. But after having seen how much work they'd put into it, my awe-level shot through the rough.

I've spent the past two weeks in a daze considering the possibilities.

Just a heads up, preorders were stopped for initial allocations at GameCrazy on Saturday.

Sure, they'll still take your preorder, but you aren't guarenteed a copy on launch day.

I finally read a preview on this and now I'm hyped. I wanted to avoid hyping myself up for it so I wouldn't have to wait long.
