I couldn't play SWAT in Halo 3 or in the Reach beta, but I've hit my stride now. We played a bunch of Team SWAT tonight and didn't lose at all. There was a close match on pinnacle, but we ended up winning by 4. Can't wait for it's own playlist.
Not sure why the majority of players are so drawn to Snipers and Swat on huge maps. Out of big team battles no less. While I do understand there's something very cool about being "the sniper" when everyone is "the sniper" it's not so cool anymore. The matches always run the entire time limit as well. Every once in a while, sure...every other game? No thanks.

BTB Snipers on Hemorrhage is a great game type in my opinion. If we're doing 4v4 though, then it is terrible. SWAT on Paradiso really sucks though. Even in BTB, we couldn't get to 75. It ran the entire time =/.
I think people like Snipers in BTB because it's easier to be a decent sniper. Just get in a good spot and you'll easily be able to pick off a ton of players that just stand still. No one really moves around. They just chill in one spot and are easy pickings.

Ugh, yes. I had so many people voting for Hemorrhage yesterday in Team Objective. I don't get it. It's a fine map for bigger playlists, but not for just 8 players. Pretty much every match consisted of both teams camping their base with a tank, blasting anything that ventured into their half of the map. So boring.

I looove snipers on Hemorrhage, there are so many places you can snipe or get sniped by that you always have to be on your toes. There's the typical cave outlet, near the rocks, in the corner of the map or even at the base. Now having a tank during snipers is kinda pointless and it would be nice to custom that and just not have the tanks spawn.
Slowly chugging through Campaign, but spending almost all of my time doing anything related to Team Slayer.
Also:
Is there an efficient way to dispose of Hunters? I remember from the first Halo game that all you needed was 1 pistol/melee to the orange section of their back, but I don't know the "trick" in this game.

Same. I ended up getting pissed and stopping playing. Need to take a break for a while as I'm getting sick of the game already.
I typically find that most of the people that swarm to vote for team snipers is just a big idiot. You'll do a team slayer and everyone will immediately vote for snipers on blood gulch, and then only two people get more than 8 kills, half the players quit, and I just watch TV until its over because I hate it so much.
if any1 has a legendary code for the flaming helmet and wants to make a nice return, theyre going on ebay for upwards of 60 and 70$
It's funny we were playing Big Team Battle Team SWAT last night with Wombat and a guy on their team had that flaming head. He died the most on their team because he was the easiest to headshot.
Even better if it was packaged with some single player space combat missions (maybe helping escort the Pillar away from Reach).
Yeah well your most effective tactic is gonna be to use a shotgun. Strafe, and hit the orange section after they miss. The range of their melee is random each time and each time they can swing a different direction.
A common plan for me in H1/H2 was to just strafe to the left and melee. They could not melee to the left, so I was practically safe.
Also 4 sniper shots on the orange section will do the trick. In fact I THINK I even killed 1 with 4 sniper shots right in front of them in no specific area (although he wasn't "blocking")
And I agree; we need some Space battle missions in lieu of SW Battlefield 2. In fact, it could work in Invasion/Invasion Slayer or Elite Vs Spartan CTF.
In Invasion, the first phase of the match could be destroying a Corvette's (Elite's spawn) propulsion systems like in Long Night of Solace in campaign (only it has shields for balance sake). After that, you invade the Corvette, and ... well basically it would be Long Night of Solace but in Multiplayer. It would work extremely damn well and I'd be surprised if Bungie isn't working on it right now, it sounds perfect dammit.
Hey everyone I have a friend who is a Captain grade 2 his gamertag is AhawaiianSMASH
I went to bungie.net to see what gametype he plays most because he wont tell me. But on the website it just says he plays a shit ton of competitive. can someone try going to the link below and telling me what gametype he plays most ? thanks
started up solo legendary, so far finished up three missions/levels. The third one took me maybe 3 hours since I got stuck several times. Over 2 hours (to get to and pass) the area where I had to activate the anti-air gun (couldn't find the switch ). Then another hour from there till the end. The two Hunters took a while to get pass. It didn't help that Kat disappeared (even restarted and that ing bitch wasn't there!). Finally took them out when I found a sniper and some plasma.

I got my second bogus betrayal in Arena again just now but, luckily, I've yet to be kicked in response to it.
I always go out of my way to send a message to whoever I betrayed apologizing and thanking them for not booting me - hoping that I can somehow avoid ever getting kicked for silly things like that.
Speaking of bullshit betrayals, how about getting booted for sticking an enemy and having him run into an ally. Or a guy running into an enemy that I fire a rocket at. Or for hinting my ally looks fat in her armor.
By the way, what seems to be the most efficient and fastest way (I don't care if it's cheesy, just so long as it isn't bannable) of farming fast cR? I've done the oni base target locator for half an hour before it became useless, and gruntpocalypse is shit for me.

Score Attack- Crash Site.
I got 5000 cR on the map Beachhead (2000 for the challenge today and 3000 with commendation sand such).
that was Carter (Noble leader). Jun is ordered to evacuate Halsey. I forgot where they were going or if they ever got there.

Have you not played and beat the game on at least Heroic wait til the end credits finish they play that portion walk straight ahead. Theres 1 more level after the credits.
Does anyone know how to unlock Kats arm in the armory? Ive read its possible, but you need to buy a certain chest piece to unlock it. But im just wondering if anyone knows for sure. I really want to combine EVA helmet/Black Visor/Kats arm.

I have finished on at least heroic difficulty and I played the level after the credits. Walk straight ahead? What? Walk straight ahead where? In the level after the credits? I don't think I'll get very far...
I would assume that since we hear Halsey talking in that final scene that she survives, but I didn't know where she went and what happened to Jun.
Seriously Bungie just sell me 2,000,000 credits for $5 bucks in Microsoft points.
I personally don't have the patience to wait for that armor effect.
I only have 160k credits, it'd take forever. Or longer then I'd want to spend at least. I really want Carter's Commando helmet when that becomes available.

I'm pretty sure it requires a Lt. Colonel rank.
Remember, Bungie said on their forums that until a certain % of players unlock certain armors, commendations, ranks etc other things in the armory will begin to unlock. As for Kat's arm, I think this is the first time I've ever heard someone who was excited to unlock and equip a protestic limb before. They have a statistics count, something like 8 billion cR has already been earned across all the players online so far and rising fast...wozzah.
Ha! I love it when crazy shit like that happens and that there's a way to record it. I wonder if he had to restart or if it still counted it.
Nah this happened after the turret took care of a few transports already, so we didn’t need to restart.
