I do alot of external reading for my journalism class (mostly current events and the such.)
 
I've been meaning to finish reading The Count of Monte Cristo... I'm around page 900 in there, so only 400 to go, I suppose.

I read that book because I'm sophisticated. Notice Ignis' glass of red wine in my sig. Classy.

Right now I have a massive headache after trying to solder wires on point-to-point boards as neatly as possible (trying not to have a single wire overlap), due to the concentration it requires (but then again, I get headaches too much). I'm going to cut down on my game playing in order to finish 6 boards before next Monday (parts are already on, just trying to wire them up.

Back to gaming, played more Burnout Paradise. I'm mostly doing Marked Man races right now (they tend to be what I excel at the most). I'll play some races and road rage a little later. I need 12 more wins to get an A license. I really need a larger TV (Burnout plays in 720p) because I can't really see the checkmarks on the map telling me I completed an event (I ended up playing an event again, twice because of it).

yeah, I love to read. Just finished two books by Murakami-- the Wind Up Bird Chronicle and After the Quake. The guy is brilliant. I'm looking to pick up some books by Miyuki Miyabe soon...these high class Japanese writers tend to have simple, but deep styles that really appeal to me. On the U.S. side, i'm still working on "You Will Know Our Velocity" by Dave Eggers and finished "The Other Hollywood," a while ago, which is a very interesting oral history of the Porn Industry. Took a class on Kafka last semester that got me into him, so I plan on hitting some more of his work up soon as well (like finishing the full books I slacked on over the semester.)

but for now I'm considering Phoenix Wright 3 my nightly "book" :lol:

The two I mentioned are world renown, modern writers. The Wind Up Bird Chronicle is one of those books everybody should read---as in burn whatever book you're reading now and buy a copy.

I counted the games on my backlog list and it goes up to 224. I just made up a list of ~100 games to sell. Right now I'm debating between which ones I could never sell first, so I can trade them in to GS first. I hope to expand the list to 150, but still need to debate.

Although I have not beat a Suikoden, I could never let myself drop my entire collection.

Twisted Metal Head on for PS2 is really good. Very good value for $20.
 
Oh yeah, I came in for a reason. I guess I forgot to save my game in Gun! I did the covered wagon mission with Jenny and got to the new city. Turned it on today and son of a bitch, I am still in Dodge City. I fought off those dumb injuns on my damn bridge, again. Tomorrow I will catch up to where I was.
