Well, if they do want Hogan vs. Angle, the setup is perfect. They can continue this "screw the troops and screw the U.S." angle that is going on with Angle. They can run a video package: "15 Years Ago... U.S. (Hogan) vs. Iraq (Slaughter). U.S. Vs. Iraq 2: Hogan vs. Angle."

Also, if Hogan was in better shape, they could run another "anniversary" match next year: "20 Years Ago: Hogan beat a giant. Can he do it again? Hogan vs. Big Show."

If it's an installation block, just use uTorrent. It doesn't install anything, I believe. Runs from the EXE file you download.
 
I have a PWT membership, but without a torrent client, it does me no good. As for NexusInc/SDledgehammer, turns out I'm already registered, but the site they have the PPV on (MegaUpload.com) is the same site that I tried before which was ridiculously slow, and the download limit has been exceeded anyway. Oh well.

MegaUpload does suck with speeds.

Have you tried uTorrent to grab the torrent from PWT? I don't think it installs anything.
 
Are you behind a firewall/router, have your ports forwarded if so, etc? Did you give it a few minutes for the speed to 'ramp up'? With the number of seeds, I can't imagine it going that slow if configured correctly.

Yeah, Matt might not be connectable. That could be a huge problem. Which version are you getting, Matt? The Sarge release? If I remember, that copy has a great seeder/leecher ratio. It shouldn't be going that slow. Also, check to see that you haven't maxed your upload speed; that can slow a download down, too.

The port forwarding is what I had to do to get connectable now it's just fine.

I got the torrent for the 6/25/2001 Raw from PWT, otherwise known as the beginning of the WCW invasion. Pretty cool to be able to watch older stuff like this since there's nothing like season wrestling sets, at least at the moment.
 
Looks like it's not a spoiler if wwe.com is going to announce it. I wish they wouldn't make Smackdown seem like more of a "B-show" by constantly remind people that it's taped and leaking news of what happened at Smackdown on their site before Friday night/Saturday morning.

If that rumor is true, Francis, this year's Wrestlemania could shape up to be a stinking pile of shit. They're banking on matches happening involving legends (Hogan, Hart, etc.) that simply aren't going to happen at all. Do *you* want to see McMahon versus HBK? That's gonna be the marquee non-title match folks. Save your $50 and buy Kingdom Hearts II instead. It's out around the same time (or Oblivion for you 360 owners).

Did anyone mention that Charlie Haas is on his way back to the WWE? I dunno how I feel about that; he's a good wrestler, but he bitched and bitched and bitched about WWE creative, and he swore he'd never go back there. A wise man had a theme song that once said, "everybody's got a price." Also, his wife (Jackie) is in TNA. Strange. What are the other husband/wife combos in wrestling that have been in opposite promotions at the same time?
 
Why the hell they're announcing the winner online tonight is beyond me. It gives people even LESS of a reason to watch Smackdown. Hell, I would think that guaranteeing that a new champ would be crowned on Smackdown would give them a boost to the ratings. Combine that with some other good matches and storyline advancement, and WWE might've been able to gain a few thousand regular viewers on Friday nights.

Of course, that would make sense and we all know that WWE hates to do that, especially if it means giving something positive to Smackdown.

I'd like to see it on Benoit again, but he's locked up in that goddamned stupid feud (circumstantially stupid due to Booker's injury, and this isn't the first time Booker and Benoit had a best of 7, so it's been done before).

Matt Hardy with the title win so Vince can set up yet another Edge vs. Hardy match, except this time at Wrestlemania to unify the two belts. No one cares this time around, WM buyrates are a record low, and the whole McMahon family commits seppuku, leaving Bischoff in charge of the WWE. Hiring a whole new staff of writers who actually know wrestling, Bischoff leads the WWE to its best era before seeing the light and joining Russo in promoting Glory Wrestling.

It was a joke. Kind of. As in, I would be absolutely shocked, thrilled, and moist to see Jamie Knoble as champion. He's a fantastic wrestler, a good promo, a good character, and as I've said before, his finisher is one with which he can believably beat a bigger guy.

That being said, he's totally unbelievable as champion to the average viewer, so, I'll stab my eyes out with one of my own ribs if he actually wins.

Apparently, when the Undertaker came out to destory everyone on his own brand, Matt Hardy ran instead of standing in line to get beat up. How being a coward is better than getting beaten up by the most over guy on either brand, only Matt Hardy knows, but apparently WWE agrees with him, because he's been buried since then.

Remember when a fan asked Matt about his decision to stay with WWE and he said "ask me again in 6 months"? How much longer does he have on that?
