Thanks Josh. Looks like I'll be doing the 6 $20 PSN cards unless something is on discount that is worthwhile and cost effective. This is the best bang for my buck.
It's 12 days until Mortal Kombat, so what is the deal with it?
it's in the first post, buy $40 worth of gaming software, get $15 coupon, buy $120 get 40 (a $15+$45) with the purchase of portal 2 OR mortal kombat, get $10 off a $20 psn or 1600 points card (these cards also apply towards the $40 or $120 gaming software requirement so u can get two new games at 59.99 and still make it over that 120 pretax requirement
i have read the thread. including and up to this page, so i know people are in the midst of discussing points cards.

how many $60 coupons can we qualify for?

I want to buy:
1) socom 4, portal 2, and something filler to go over 120
2) 50, 50, 20 psn cards.

if i do these in separate purchases, will i get 2 $60 coupons?
Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I think Josh stated that it will be one per account.

Why do people keep saying $40 for spending $120, isn't it $15 + $45????? or am I missing something?

Could we get stock boy's input on this??? It doesn't make sense to only be able to use it once considering that there are at least two release dates in that time span with some big titles. Plus, you could always get the deals twice when they lasted only one week. I am really hoping that the promotion can be used more than once.

To be honest, I would probably use it 3 or 4 times if I could.

Also, are the coupons now tied to your SYWR account? Will I need to present my card both at the time of purchase when getting the coupons and when redeeming the coupon?
About a 95% drop off in customer issues from SYWR to gaming coupons as expected.

Nice change of pace :)

For the $60 limit question; it will most likely be a limit 1 this go around. This is just as much of a test as it is an offer. If it proves successful, I'll try to get it approved with higher expansions. (i.e. 180 to 90, 240 to 120 and so forth)
So back on March 29, Josh said it will most likely be a limit of one coupon. Possibly Stock Boy or Ad Monster may have an update though.

I vote for keeping the coupons the way they are. It works well for kmart and for consumers. This is cag after all, so there will always be people who want more and more for less.

Just as a friendly reminder, Ad Monster ([email protected]) will be acting in my stead this week and next and will post all of the updates/questions answered etc. as I will be in China for business.

Talk to you all later! Thanks for everything!

Okay, the week of 17th... Crysis 2 is $39.99, Portal 2 is $59.99 with $10 off on PSN card (or Xbox equivalent), that's 109.98 or 119.98 toward the total? Either way, another game or card is needed for the $120 purchase requirement.

Any deals on SOCOM4?

I believe it's $10 toward the total since it is discounted. The only deal for that week is the $15/$60 coupon deal since it includes all games that are available to be purchased. It's basically an all inclusive offer that doesn't discriminate.

Thanks... Hmmm, it's a battle of the coupon wits eh? The max gaming coupon per SYWR account is $60, two ways to reach it: $15+$45 for $120 purchase requirement or 4 x $15 for FOUR individual $40+ purchases. If you don't use the SYWR card, you can get pretty much any number of gaming coupons. Time to look up those $5-$15 titles for fillers...
The entire $120 has to come from gaming software (aside from a $20 exception on PSN/WiiWare/XBL point cards it seems) so no that won't work. Best you could do is find some bargain bin PS2 games; cheapest I found so far is 5.99
Might have to do this. Hopefully I'll find a bargain bin game that I actually want.

I have seen some good psp games and ds games for ten dollars like final fanatsy crisis core.

Also will this deal be available in NYC????

Promotions next week starting 4/10 - 4/16, all are for both PS3 and XB360

Dragon Age 2 - $39.99
Need For Speed Shift 2 - $39.99

The next 2 games are meant as to clear out some inventory so they are about 90% instock and we will not be restocking these games at any point so unfortunately if your location does not have it then there isn't much we can do.

Resonance of Fate - $39.99
Front Mission Evolved - $19.99

Is that the right price for RoF? It's hit considerably lower and when the deal broke on release week it was $37.99. Amazon has it for $18.99, I'm not sure how much clearing out you're going to do with that pricing on a 1 year old game.

FM:E is looks appropriately priced and tempting. I really ought to mail somebody about my rewards points though since they never posted from ages ago.

Stock Boy, Josh had previously mentioned you guys would be looking to get DA2 for pc sometime in the first half of April I believe and that it would receive its own promotion. Is this no longer happening, because I've seen no mention of it recently.

It won't be happening in April, possibly May as that is when we are bringing it in. Our fiscal Q1 ends in April so that had some constraints on what we could do this month.

That's what I told Sega but unfortunately Amazon does not care about making money in gaming. Sadly $59.99 is the price, Best buy has it used for $29.99 and Gamestop has it at $59.99 too

Just PS3 and XB360 for 4/19

If you link your PSN account (you can make one for free on the website i believe) and link it with your steam account you get the PC version along with the PS3.

it's basically getting PS3/PC version together for one price. I'd do that if you want the PC version.

Damn - I don't need anymore games but shift 2 is freaking tempting.

new circular says "see kmartgamer.com for offer" but it's not posted yet, is it on the show, or on a ps3 with the show?

Is there a DS lite sale on the horizon? My daughter (5) confiscated my wife's pink DS Lite and my wife wants a replacement (and it has to be pink, therefore it has to be a DS lite). I would imagine with the 3DS out (as well as the DSi variations) the Lites are not exactly flying off the shelves at the moment.

There are no offers for the show or PS3. I think they are just trying to ad that "see kmartgamer.com" blurb to all ads now to try and build some more awareness. The only "sales/offers" we have running next week are the ones I mentioned before and the $10 gaming coupons that come with the 3 new Kinect releases.

and for sure... front mission evolved looks fun for when friends r over (watchin someone fail at moving around wit a giant mech is pretty amusing)

edit: oh and is it even possible to receive and use gaming coupons without an sywr rewards card?

Incorrect, buy MLB the show get MLB 2k11 half off. Cross platform blog discussion.

for the 4/19 deal with portal and mortal kombat

I am only interested in mortal kombat for 59.99. Can I buy at least 60.01 worth of microsoft points to get to the 120 or can msp only count for 10 dollars worth?

I don't see any specific responses to this question when it's been asked - buying two copies of Mortal Kombat shouldn't affect the promo, right? Milwaukee fighting game group is buying plenty of copies and im trying to get all those guys to pick theirs up at kmart.

Ugh. After playing through the campaign of Front Mission I couldn't bring myself to try the multiplayer, I put it up on Goozex as quick as I could. Just a word of warning- you might have a fun multiplayer experience but I would strongly recommend not playing single player.

I liked Front Mission 4's single player game, voice acting aside. Is it fundamentally different?

wat was not good about it? gameplay? story? etc?

Will Front Mission Evolved hold at the $19.99 price during the $15/$60 coupon promotion since Kmart is trying to get rid of them? I might use FME as part of the deal.
wat was not good about it? gameplay? story? etc?
imo it's pretty unpolished.

Square has never been the same after the Enix merger.

Waiting for clarification from Kmart Reps: I understand that only $20 points cards count toward the $120 deal, but we need to know whether ONLY ONE $20 points card can be included, or if any number of points cards will apply toward the $120 total.

If I can buy either [7 points cards by themselves] or [Portal 2 + 4 points cards] then I'll take advantage of this offer.

I was under the impression from Josh's post that multiple $20 cards can be included in the deal, HOWEVER, this is a very good question and would be great to know officially.

Yep, I think we are going to be able to hold the promo for a couple of weeks. It will still be $19.99 during the coupon promotion.

Alright, that game will be on my list to use towards the promo. Going to raid that bargin bin of 6 or 7 games.

There seem to be some people on this thread thinking they can use the offer multiple times if they don't use their SWYR account.

My understanding is that you MUST use your SYWR account to get any gaming coupons. Am I correct? If so you may want to extra clarify that somewhere.

i agree that the baseball games are good games, but the sale would be much more effective if it included other sports titles to be discounted, ie nba 2k11, fifa 11, etc etc, rather than a competing baseball title.

You gotta think about the money.

I suspect 2k sports is paying for this one. (although the cross platform thing is confusing.)

I can officially say only 1 card per transaction is how I loaded the promotion.
